I have finally found how to express my feelings when I watch this show. I feel like I'm watching a filler arc of One Piece. I still watch it because it's about my beloved characters, but I'm bored as hell because of its lazy writing and there nothing particular to enjoy.
Finally the anime.
I still don't know how well the series is received. I remember it being called "da best eva" when it came out, but since then it's unclear if it works well or not. Anyway I wonder how they'll handle the gore in the tv show.
So you didn't like "the humanity suddenly got turned into stone"?
What I didn't like is :"living beings were kept alive inside of stones for literally thousands of years without any energetic source and just pour a bit of citric acid on the stone et voilà, the living being is back on track."
I can live with this setup, but you can't convince me that from now on, the scientific analysis is going to be thorough. And as this manga is all about "look at how much i can talk about science", it feels empty to me. But anyway, it's just for the point of discussing, I won't tell you that it's wrong to like it. I just feel that the hype is a little too much. But better that than Bleach, I guess.
What bothered you this time?
Just the initial setup makes no sense. from then on, whatever science they put through, I can get no satisfaction.
I simply hate how this manga is trying so hard to be scientific when the premises are completely over the top unrealistic fantasy. It makes it void of any meaning for me.
I just discovered this is a thing. I suppose nobody cares about it for a good reason ?

If you check wikipedia on how Lü Buwei ended in real life and if you see how accurate the manga describes him, you know how it will end for him.
Yeah, so I discovered the anime on friday, whatched every available episode during the weekend and now i'm reading the manga. That's surely the best thing i've seen/read in a long time.
