I don't think Kuma is a bear Zoan; because I think he IS a bear. (who said Shichibukai had to be human anyway?) He probably doesn't even speak… Because he's a bear.

This HAS been over-discussed before, and there IS a Shichibukai thread…
this would hardly be discussed in any other thread then its own…
and i have never seen any theories about reciding hairlines in any other thread sorry
-
His thread is that he has a bear Zoan. You crazy if you can say that has never been said before in the Shichibukai thread.
-
did you even read his post? he uses the possibility of Kuma beeing a bear to foreshadow him beeing bald.
(although he could have just referenced to his name rather then the possible zoan)
(we're assuming he has the bear DF right?)
He isnt argueing Kuma is a bear zoan he is assumeing.
-
Still, he is a Shichibukai…
-
yes.. and how many do you think will commeent on him beeing bald or not in some other thread?
can you see now why he decided to post it in a new thread? (wether it was right or not) -

Yes I guess I do.
Although this thread is about as equal to "Should Sanji stop smoking at the end of the series" thread. -
Its a good thread. Iv never thought about this and I find it pretty interesting. It woulod have been overlooked in the bigger thread. In fact Im going to go read that story in 2 kings now just for fun.

Yes I guess I do.
Although this thread is about as equal to "Should Sanji stop smoking at the end of the series" thread.i think we can all agree on that one
-
Im not saying its the greatest thread ever, but because he posted an interestig theroy behind him (not just him being bald) it actually makes it more of an original topic.

This post is deleted!

So Carter wasn't joking in the Naruto thread when he mentioned this….wow.
-
this is probably the most famous story with bears in the Bible,
I want to live in a world where this is all it takes to support a theory.

I bet he has a funky big afro under his hat, that makes Brooks look humble.
OH JEEZ HE'S BACK.
-
Oi, oi, we don't wanna go off-topic with this one. It's too damn intresting!
I mean, this may be some valuable information on a well-known and feared shachibooki.
-
I had no intent. I was merely expressing surprise at his return.
Bart uses the reflection of the sun on his bald head to shoot a beam.

Bartholomew Kuma
more like
Baldolomew Kuma
or Bartholomew Hage lol I know Japanese.
-
I know Japanese too, but not in the same context as you put it. Lol.
See who can get what I'm on about…

What a great bunch of replies! Truly, the balding Kuma theory is one for the record books. When I first heard it I was like, "No way is that possible," but then I thought, "Wait, that actually kicks ass!!!"
I want to live in a world where this is all it takes to support a theory.
People think of all the obvious theories as soon as there is a scrap of foreshadowing, so why not have fun coming up with theories that really stretch things? Frankly I think it's a stupid theory, but a hilarious one, and one that – if it turns out to be true -- will make me immortal in the world of One Piece longshot theories (well, technically my brother, but I'll take credit.)
-
Here comes the man of the hour!
-
I'm just wondering why the hell you haven't added this theory to your sig. Let the people in this weird AP world acknowledge it for it's weird possibility of actually becoming true.
-
@$abZ:

Oh? Well, you see, this is not my theory, and therefore I cannot put it into my signature. I'm not willing to stake my reputation as a zany One Piece theorist on the line for it. If it comes true it will be beyond epic, but if it's not true, and Kuma does have hair under his hat, then I will blame my brother and shift the mockery to him.
-
man i was waiting for a good ole wolfpox theory and when i click on this thread what happens? his brother makes one… i feel like i havent seen wolf even post in the manga section let alone make threads anymore... What happened to the good old days ehh?
-
Wolfpox…..how does it feel to be up there....with the GODS?!
-
I didn't come up with this theory, but my brother forced me at knifepoint to post his theory on the Arlong Park forums, so here it is in all its glory! I'll try to make it SUUUUPAAAA for my bro~!!
First of all, we know that Kuma has long hair, but we don't know what's underneath his hat. The theory is that Kuma is balding underneath his hat, and he's probably wearing a hat because of his balding scalp.
Second of all, we know that Kuma carries a Bible. He's based on Black Bart, who was also fond of the Bible, but there will probably be some more significance to the Bible than that. I think it'll play a strange role.
Now in 2 Kings 2:23-24 there is a story of Elisha the prophet, who was going around doing miracles and prophesying, and then some kids came out of the city and starting mocking his bald head. But since Elisha was a prophet, and you do not want to mess with prophets, God sent two bears out of the wilderness to kill 42 of them, to send a message.
We don't know where Oda got inspiration to make Bartholomew into a bear type of DF user (we're assuming he has the bear DF right?) but this is probably the most famous story with bears in the Bible, so if Oda wanted to take inspiration this is a possible place to get it.
Of course, the idea is that if you make fun of Kuma's baldness, he'll totally lose his temper and kill you, like the bears did when they made fun of the prophet Elisha.
Let's all give credit to my brother for this daring, cool and powerful theory!!
This coming from the same guy who had the STUPID theory of blackbeard appearing in thriller bark and ace dead body being a zombie LOL….
really wolfpox..when you made that theory it was really dumb...
but this one is ok and it makes since actually!
-
You're wrong! Barty actually … ate the Bunny Bunny no Mi!
and the sarcasm flows like a river

I was wondering the same thing. What did happen to those old days? I remember "Fire Fist" Ace was being all crazy back then as well. I guess I said everything I had to say, and now we just need to wait.
It's not like I can just magically produce these theories. I need to have a real belief that they are possible, with real logic or motive of some kind. I would be doing an injustice if I just made theories that I couldn't root for.
But in the end, the only thing that really matters in this world is that – if you're a man -- you do everything with a DON~!! And that's what I do.
-
The other famous story about Elisha being, of course, the incident of a dead body being thrown into his grave and coming back to life after brushing against his body. So, does this mean that there's a connection between Thriller Bark and Bart Bear?
-
Hmmm… I like it!
And even if Kuma doesn't have a Bear DF, he still has a Bear theme, so... -
Anyone can make any theory about anything.
And knowing Oda,theres a chance this thing is real (or at the wery least, fiy oud ask in the SBS youd get the "oh,right right, thats where I got the name–--(there are BEARS in the Bible?Had no idea)! reply we got when one guy asked is "Rob Luchi" is supposed to mean "steak the light"-and even if Oda probably didnt make it from it (though some of his replies in the SBS can be taken either way),it realy captures his character)
-

Well, i'm going to vote Admiral Wolfpox for President next election. This clenches it…

you know i dont think he was ever going to ask in the SBS, as this is one of those things that, if they are true, wouldnt get revealed in any other way then showing kumas bald head in the manga at the intended time.
"Anyone can make any theory about anything."
sure, but the trick lies in makeing one that cant be outright refuted, and with at least some "evidence" (that also cant be refuted). -
one that cant be outright refuted, and with at least some "evidence" (that also cant be refuted).
and HOW MANY theories follow that line?Besides the most obvious (Luffy kicks the asses of anyone who ***ks with him is a good example) ones?
-
I can't but be amused on Gecko Moria in general… When we first heard that there's a Shichibukai around, most people were probably rubbing their genitals while fantasizing about some Mihawk-like badass dude of pure badassness, who kicks strawhatty asses left and right.
Doubt anyone had this mental image of some huge eel-dude running around corridors with Luffy on his tail. That's OP at it's finest, imo. :X
Still, I don't see him as that much of a bad guy. There's always some sort a lesson of in the arcs, or at least with the villains. Perhaps Luffy manages to relocate the last bits of good out of Moria in the end, which is why he'd end up releasing all the shadows? Like, "yeh, you're right, I shouldn't be relying on others"! >.<
I mean, he mentioned that he used to be like Luffy. Which made me think of another thing... (Possibly been discussed of before. Oh well. :p)
Could that mean that all of the Shichibukai are not actually meant to be that much of looking up to and/or being afraid of, but more of something to feel a bit sorry for? Crocodile wanted to be the Pirate King, right? Moria also wants to be, but as he said, he's not like he used to be back in the days, which is possibly why he joined the Shichibukai. Mihawk? Sure, there are guys like Doflamingo who look like utter bastards. Can't really say much about Kuma yet, or the other two whom we've yet to be graced with. So they're all what one could call quitters! Like, when Usopp and Luffy had their little feud, it seemed like an example of what would possibly make on give up on the whole jolly-pirate business. Perhaps both Croc and Moria had to go through things similiar to that, which is why they ended up like they are now. :X
-
… thats kinda my point lobolover. not everyone can come up with those kind of theories.
-
Gasp! Maybe this means that Kuma's Ultimate Technique will be reflecting the light of the sun with his baldyness to create some kind of super demonic life force made out Light that represents the fury of Men who are getting bald…....
Anyways, I still think Kuma's religious crap is related to some possible DF (Light), even tough it would be biased to assume that most of the bizarre Important characters have a DF Related to their personality...
-

That's why I think the Schichibukai are nothing but puppets of someone else (Well, let's face it, the government is not actually controlling them), perhaps Kaido or some other strong individual that hunts down prominent rookies and leaves them as nothing but ubberly messed up people with no other option but join the government to survive the horde of pirates that could easily kill off what was left of their crews. It's just ironic how we could relate the situations of each other; for example, Crocodile dreams got crushed like Moria's, while Don's attitude could be also due to someone crushing down his dreams. Of course, we don't know what pushed Mihawk and Kuma to be Schichibukai, and Blackbeard pretty much wants to join to use the Government, so my theory could be completely wrong, or the Schichibukai could just be divided in two groups, the ones like Moria and Crocodile and the others that have their own reasons and are too dangerous for the government to not have an eye on them.
-
I'm assuming its like this… Just speculation
Moria - Dreams Crushed
Mihawk - was bored with the pirate life
Kuma - Is really religious and wanted to stop being a pirate once "meeting" with god
Jimbei - Maybe was pissed off that the navy kept trying to capture him... idk?
Crocodile - I forgot... didn't he just want to rule Alabasta?
Don - Probably wanted power -
think most of them just saw a peace treaty with the marines as an opourtunity to build power just like Blackbeard.
-

Agreed. Anyone who took it probably wanted the marines off their backs for a while before they filled their agenda. Guys like Doflamingo and Crocodile who have large schemes that need implementing could probably due with less people in their business.
Jinbei probably falls in this category, though that's just speculation.
-
As for the motivations of the Shichibukai… let me see...
- Crocodile wanted to be the Pirate King
- Doflamingo wants to usher in the New Era (a materialist world without dreams)
- Moria wants to be the Pirate King also
- Kuma seems to be quite subserviant, and maybe just wants to stop the Pirate Era
- Mihawk probably doesn't have ambition, but is waiting for someone to equal him
- Jimbei might also want the fishmen to rule the world
- uhh, what am I missing...
-
I agree he's ugly. But his design is the wierdest and most creative out of almost every character in the series.
Except for Brook. Skeleton+Afro+Suit=Win!
More on topic, I would incredibly enjoy TB crashing into the next island…...I guess that's not too on topic..........So don't all flame me at once, but I really don't think we'll see Jinbei on the next island.
