JUMP BREAK NEXT WEEK (Obon Festival)
I am interested in the silhouette that with Imu.
@Logia It's a servitor. We already saw someone like that with Imu back in the Reverie, when he first appeared. If they are important or just nameless servants, we have no idea.
First off; LOVE the Horikoshi tribute on the cover page. It's crazy how Oda is outliving the very Mangakas he's inspired all these years ago.
Concering the chapter:
Just as expected, Emeth's "thing" is what's essentially ending the arc. I was expecting it to be some sort of selfdestruct mechanism but an uber Haki bomb courtesy of the one and (not so) only Joyboy triggered by releasing a knot (most likely coming off the same technology as the Weatheria wind knot) wasn't on my bingo card. The fact that it managed to disintegrate? the Gorosei summons and even hurting Imu makes it pretty obvious that this will be the next step in Haki development Luffy has to go through to eventually beat the big bad. Don't know how much I like this because he spent a good junk of Wano trying to master Ryou and it somehow had very little impact on the fight in the end. Also the fact Imu got hurt from this Haki bomb presents even more evidence that the Gorosei have to be some kind of extension of Imu's power.
Otherwise just love the atmosphere of departure and hype the Vegapunk message has caused. Perfect groundwork for the final saga, which I think was what Oda wanted this arc to do in the first place. Also had some great art (and a lot of double spreads) this chapter, especially the one where all the remaining Gorosei are reaching for the flying Sunny.
I know from the Spoiler Thread that most people don't like the lack of development Emeth got before his demise but I genuinely got pretty emotional during the last few pages. And I trust in Oda to at least somewhat extend on this during the inevitable Void Century flashback.
Last but not least; the "Joyboy is a Giant" theory has been discussed a lot and looks to be pretty dead after this chapter. Emeth should be a bit bigger than your usual giant but Joyboy's silhouette seems to be even smaller than one of Emeth's horns. The giant straw hat in Mariejois might still belong to Joyboy himself (maybe he died while being transformed into a giant like Luffy does?) but it would be even more interesting if the frozen hat belonged to someone else entirely.
What's caught my interest as well is the fact that one of Joyboy's legs looks veeery skinny on the last page. Either Oda just drew that one a little sloppy (Joyboy's right hand also looks very skinny in that panel) OR it could mean Joyboy's the infamous pegleg Pirate we've been waiting for so long.
It's def more interesting for Oda to write Koby as a direct challenger to Luffy's dream than Smoker. Since Oda likes the underdog character, as evidenced by Momo, he'll def do something that will challenge peoples' expectations of assuming that Koby is too pathetic to keep up with Luffy.

His leg is clearly looks like wooden work and his right hand seems like replaced by some jaw spanner.I bet he was the eye patched pirate Oda talked about long ago.
Concerning his height, he might well be a giant if we consider the dimension of Emeth compared to ordinary giants as have seen in this arc.
To be honest, Joyboy's arm and leg look like it could be just perspective/lack of detail thing, and they're just normal limbs.
It's interesting to see another arc's conflict be resovled by Joyboy's companion (first was Zou). What's more interesting is that the first time it was by Momo's intervention.
I wonder if Momo's role in the grander story is bigger than we think. Maybe Joyboy was a Kozuki?
We already have a hook (Crocodile) and peg leg (Zeff) pirates, though. Oda was teasing an eye-patch one.
We’ve been waiting a long time to meet the eye patch pirate so I hope whoever he is, he lives up to the hype
Could also be the man with the burn scar, who knows
@Dahaka You're completely right, I was confusing the eye-patch tease with the peg leg, my bad!
Loved this chaper, Buggy scene was hilarious as usual, some interesting designs there among the rando pirates also like the knight helmet marine next to vice admiral Stainless. The panel when Emet says "Sorry I couldn't make you King" is absolutely gorgeous.
I have no issue with Haki stored in objects, we have wind stored in knots, sound/flavor/heat/impact stored in shells, Lao G could store muscles from when he was young and Oden's swords of course, doesn't really strike me as too out there what Joy Boy did here.
Mars sitting calmly in the Hall of Power is really funny given the SBS question from 109 that he's always standing because he forgot his homework.
Joy Boy silhouette, could be peg leg, could be a hook who knows, also don't think his size is as clear. He may not be a giant, but if he's almost as tall as one of Emet's horns he's still pretty big, if you look on page 15 of chapter 1066, Luffy is tiny compared to it. Also, is he standing on a poneglyph?
With Saturn still there, I hope that means Kuma gets one last moment. I don't wanna get too fixated on the idea of a Kuma sacrifice, but I do feel like he needs to do something.
Think next chapter could truly be the last chapter of the arc, or at least the chapter we leave Egghead anyways.
@Daz The DF matters, but if it is not Luffy, then we don't have too many Awakening that specific DF.
They keep saying that they have to wait for someone. This DF been around for so long. If it is so important, somebody else should have
It is a pattern where everything isn't turning out the same for all the JB reincarnations. Even JB himself didn't win this war.
Roger wasn't good enough. Nobody that has used the Nika DF has accomplished what needs to be done.
Looks like Luffy is the difference maker. Luffy is just way more essential than any CoC Haki or DF.
If Luffy doesn't do things his way and stumble into the places he does or adventure through the places he does, Bonney dies on Egghead as opposed being saved and encouraged.
The last 100 chapters, most characters die w/o matching the Nika DF enough to awaken.
It just goes both ways. If I want to say Luffy is nothing in certain situations w/o the DF, then I have to acknowledge so many other characters are not awakening the Nika DF or going the distance for the oppressed.
Revolutionary Army been around all this time, where were they for Alabasta or Skypiea?
The Nika DF been around and so has racism hanging over FI. Not too many characters are doing what Luffy did for the children of FI. They look up to him.
So many characters and that Nika DF have existed before Luffy and he is the one to liberate Wano. Capable characters too.

I know there's a running theory Joy Boy could have been a Buccaneer like Kuma.

Alternately, Imu is not hurt in the sense we would first expect. Maybe they have lingering unresolved/conflicting love interested over Joyboy - and their ideologies clashed despite being infatuated, making it all the more dramatic. Sensing his haki after all this time could spark nostalgia/trauma where it sparked joy for Emeth. Jealousy would also be a powerful motive when it comes to shunning the Nefertari "traitor" princess.
When he finally comes out of the shadow I really don't want him to look similar to anyone. reincarnation is a trash overused concept.
What i dislike the most of JoyBoy is that he always acts/speaks as if he certainly knows the future!
What's the point of making him a prophet like figure? just to pave the way for the present story plot?
Emeth shut down without showing us anything except a punch. sigh. I wanted to see so much more outta him and instead we got a deadly haki fart that saved the day for everyone.
anyways Egghead needs one more chapter for its aftermath.
@hideoushorrendous It's less that he is a prophet or knows for a fact and more that he has faith in it.
The moment when Dragon sees Sabo for the 1st time among a lot of other moments in the story speak to this.
As long as there are oppressive elements that dominate corners of the OP world, that will always force out someone to oppose that.
If you keep putting your foot on necks, 1 day, someone will fight back enough to push your foot off.
WG, Kaido, Orochi, a lot of these characters are so abusive that a Luffy has to oppose them.
If they don't do what they do, Luffy has no character to feel for whether they are hungry, sad, etc.
JB believes those who opposed him will continue to do what they did in his time, so he has faith in someone coming along that doesn't share their ideology.
Curious to see Saturn approaching Emerth. I wonder if he’ll try to finish the destruction of the robot. I’m hoping something happens to Saturn and York while in the island to break a little the government’s victory.
Both Emeth’s Haki bomb and Luffy asking Sanji, Franky and Bonney to lend him their haki are setting up… a Genki Dama moment, like Deicide said.
Joy Boy does seem very sure of the future. There’s plenty of space to theorize that he’s Luffy, sent to the past, and Emeth could be Franky. Momo’s mother coming from that era opened a can of worms! It’s still possible to have a fruit that goes backwards in time, after having one to move forward
@Cockycent nah he doesn't feel anything, he knows for a fact that someone will change the world after him
Toki was constantly jumping into the future to catch the prophecy until she stopped doing so by falling for Oden.
anyways i dislike the whole thing of time traveling stuff and someone predicting the unknown outta his ass and it's on target. every time. like hold on a second i don't want this guy to be a prophet, i wanted a legendary king and sadly he never was.

He actually sat at least one time before, just after the Battle of Marineford I believe.
@hideoushorrendous Him knowing for a fact isn't in his dialogue at all. This guy is saying "I will save you from the past" and "when your life or someone else".
This isn't a person that knows something for a fact.
You said it yourself "constantly jumping". If she knows, why is she constantly jumping? She should know for certain when and where to go and specifically who to look for.
Toki is the perfect example, thank you. Oden could have easily not let go of WB's ship and ended up near her. She didn't know of Oden or if she would need saving, having children.
None of this is certain. It is all faith and hope.
It took a while to think about it but I'm kinda sad it feels like Roger took a huge backseat to Joyboy in the grand scheme of things.
Cue the "what I expected and what I got" memes.
@Cinder I mean, the dude decided to go to Laugh Tale only because he was dying and wanted to be remembered. Had he not that disease, guy probably would have been a Yonkou type like Whitebeard.

Joy Boy could be Luffy, but there is no way in hell that Emeth is Franky. The robot is a cowardish crybaby, at best.
@Johnny-B-Decent Yeah but it was kind of like going through a stage of denial until this chapter. Go through so many years since the beginning and understanding that Roger was a big deal, added more mystery to the will of D with his full name reveal (drum island), learning about his crew members one by one. He laughed and that’s that. It’s been all about Joyboy now that I hate to be a little bothered by it.
@Cinder I don't know, people seem miffed about the connection of destiny/fate with Luffy and Joy Boy.

Honestly, seeing as how Roger was introduced just to introduce him as a dead man raising peoples' hopes about a treasure, I suppose it's rather surprising Oda gave him more attention beyond being a glorified background character. His attack against Whitebeard is a pretty good extra bonus.
Joy Boy seems connected to tons of more things than Roger ever did.

While Joy Boy is connected to many important things, I'm sure Oda will give Roger some more spotlight, and maybe even highlight his childhood. Just one big cog in the machine in this story, but by no means the cog connected to the most cogs compared to Joy Boy.
See, all you people who ask why we don't see more of Smoker, all you have to do to make him appear is write a decade-long bestselling rival manga. If you wanted it that bad you'd be doing it already, so get cracking!
In all actual seriousness though, Hero Aca had a strong run and Oda's tributes to hit both on the cover and in his author comment, are very sweet. Horikoshi has earned a big rest and break after all he's done, but as much as Oda has too, there's still obviously a lot of One Piece to go.
This is overall a pretty standard winding down chapter, hitting all the expected beats of powering down the broadcast, giving Emet its moment in the spotlight with the secret weapon and putting the Strawhats and the giants on the open sea, outside the Marine blockade, and ready to sail for the next island. I think we'll be getting at least one chapter of cooldown between now and Elbaf, probably focusing on the World Government's efforts to put out the fires Vegapunk just started, or the other Emperors and main players we haven't seen yet (like most of the Strawhat Grand Fleet) getting their ducks in a row surrounding all this new info.
Koby's choice to get between Luffy and his dream is very interesting. The question is, who would he have take the One Piece and decide the fate of the world instead? Given his presence on the last chapter's final spread, could he be planning to get it personally and reform the Marines to his preference?
We get a rare moment of Buggy showing actual competence rather than just failing upward. He's playing the crowd perfectly to maximise loyalty and morale. Which makes you wonder what Crocodile's so upset about. Probably because he's generating loyalty to himself only, leaving out the other two leaders.
I'm happy to see Emet realise the distinction between Luffy and Joyboy. They're not the same person, and it would get old fast (and do nothing for accusations of reincarnation/time travel) if everything from the ancient past was permanently calling Luffy by the wrong name. Very curious about the idea of making Joyboy a king through. Will this turn out to be the entymology of the current day's pirate king title?
And I love the panel of the Elders leaping at the Sunny and the giants' longboat. The sense of scale is incredible.
The longterm stored Haki is an interesting concept. One of the first things we learned about Armament Haki is that it can be made to linger in an object after the user lets it go, enough to loose a powerful Haki arrow, so it tracks to be able to scale that up and make it linger longterm, especially having learned that Conqueror's Haki can be used the same way as Armament. I wouldn't want ancient Haki storage to become too regular of a thing from this point, but it's definitely being set up for one more future maccguffin or deus ex machina, and I can live with that.
What I'm not as much of a fan of, as it appears here, is the Haki blast erasing the Elders' demonic forms. Haki has never previously been a lockout thing. We're shown back on Amazon Lily that raw speed and power can overcome Haki, and even with the addition of using it for coating in Wano, Conqueror's was more of a dickmeasuring thing between the super ambitious than a necessary skill. If the one in a million bonus ability turns out to be a necessary weapon against otherwise invincible demons, I will very disappointed. Worse, at no point in the skirmishes with the Elders up to this point, can I see the trademark lightning crackle of Conqueror's Haki on Luffy's attacks. It would be hard to justify him just not using the one technique that would have worked through the whole arc just to keep these guys feeling menacing.
But look. We don't know what the deal is yet. It does no good for anyone's mental health or the quality of discussions to imagine the worst case scenario and get mad at it before it's confirmed. I can wait.
For example, on the topic of not having the full picture yet, there's the teleporting. I don't think Emet's attack forced them to go back, because if it did Saturn would be back on his ship instead of remaining on the island, but I don't think the situation for the others was dire enough that they would have chosen to retreat. Maybe their recall had to do with Imu's distress. Mysteries remain about these guys.
And then a Joyboy flashback. That was really unexpected at this point, although the hat and coat in the silhouette are not all that surprising. Scale in One Piece is tricky and not always consistent, but he definitely looks too small to be a giant, and probably too small to wear the Marie Geoise frozen strawhat as well. The X mark on Emet's arm is a sweet touch, recalling the Strawhats at Alabasta. The way the two speak here make me feel like we're in for a real tragedy when we finally get their full story and the way they failed. We know Oda doesn't hold back on the flashbacks.
So that's probably the full stop on Egghead. At least a semicolon, depending on if the between-island cutaways lean Egghead or Elbaf. The first half of this arc was a breath of fresh air, the second half treated very unkindly by breaks. I'm looking forward to doing my reread and seeing how much things change when I don't have to wait. But above all else, I'm thrilled to have Elbaf so close on the horizon.

The knot device really confused me at first, though. It has seen so little use in recent years (or in the entirety of the New World ? Did Nami ever do anything with the weather knots ?) that for me, it took reading someone else's comment to remember it was indeed not pulled out of nowhere, but a callback to Weatheria.
Visually the effects were fantastic, but I am a bit disappointed that Emeth's super-secret-weapon turned out to be Moar Haki. It was the perfect occasion to showcase some Ancient Kingdom science, which would have tied nicely with the background theme of Egghead. Especially since some of Vegapunk's most promising gadgets such as the holograms and light-touching gloves never had any relevance for the arc in the end. I can't help but feel like Egghead showed great potential with all kinds of inventions, yet didn't use much of it all. Land of science indeed...
There is one thing that really upsets me about the chapter: Coby is such a douche: "I have to stop your dream"... To me going forward he is the main villian....
I really do no like how the setup was phrased. I understand it but the wording is ehh
@Seafarer33 Yeah I would probably have not made the Weatheria knot connection either without all the helpful people pointing it out. I assume the tech is somewhere inside Nami's weapon being used, but it is a little bit of a shame the visual of it couldn't come back before now.
I can understand a limitation of what Emet could pull out for the finale. We established a couple of chapters ago that its conventional weapons decayed over the centuries, and a self-destruct so soon after Atlas already did it might have felt cheap.
But you're right about some of Vegapunk's tech going weirdly unused. The gloves feel like setup for a rejected alternative to the Borsalino fight. I'm looking forward to rereading the arc and seeing if these things stick out as much when you don't have a break week to overanalyse and get caught up in the details.
Glad the chapter made it clearer that Luffy just reminded Emeth of Joyboy and they don't actually look alike (Although I'm still expecting a strong resemblance between the two).
Seems like the secret to the Elders power is that they're drawing it from whatever the heck Imu is, going to make for an interesting fight for whoever goes up against them in the end.
@Seafarer33 said in Chapter 1122: Time is Right:

I have nothing to back this up, but I think this knot thing has more to do with some eastern magic folklore and less about Weatheria and this having similar tech. Haredas and the Weatheria folk looked like wizards, after all.
@Deicide
Yup, exactly. It’s easy to search for wind knot + folklore and see that it’s a common practice in some folk religions to untie knots to produce winds. Funnily, they are mainly from Scandinavia and Scotland, not from the East.
I always assumed Nami incorporated wind knots into the Clima Tact, and they somehow work from inside it.
I wish Dials wouldn’t be retconned into being remnants of the Ancient Tech. I liked that they were presented as natural features of the sky islands, that made them a weird and isolated place. Remember that the city of Shandora, allied to the AK, was not at first located on the Sky, but in Jaya. As far as we know, from Norland’s flashbacks, the Shandian descendants didn’t use Dials, only after the island was thrown up into Skypiea.
@Chams-0 I was not aware dials had been retconned. Sky Piea even had the characters flat out say they are remnants of living creatures. I always assumed some types like Jet or Reject being extinct was because the living creatures that produced them died out.
A couple ideas
All these feel like clues to something.
Imagine if the whole world went underwater and were safe someway. Then Luffy spoke to someone with whatever ability he used to speak to Momo, but the world being underwater like the Heart Pirates were, got to hear Luffy.
Luffy wasn't even conscious, but he was. It is almost similar to when Kaido looked down on Luffy as he was out, but said that Luffy was glaring at him. I thought it was just a drunk saying whatever, but Oda is using his lackeys to respond "he's just plain knocked out" to emphasize whatever Kaido is seeing isn't something physical. Luffy then knocks them out with CoC lol.
Luffy had to train in sea stone cuffs. Is the next step drowning him, so he can tap into this next ability lol
Also, this stuff with CoC in a knot. Also, the way BM would scream while unleashing CoC. Then the fact that for characters to have CoC, they have to be born with it. Ivankov, Doberman, and Garp's statements in 570 imply that Dragon has CoC as well.
Considering these facts and implications, can CoC be passed down like Poseidon abilities? What would that mean for the other Ancient weapons? Franky had blueprints that were passed down. I would assume passing down in the way of Poseidon's situation was on purpose for the ability to live on. How would that work for Pluton out side of the blueprints?
For VP to refer to the power source he's chasing after as an undying flame (damn, I think Lilith said it). Rhythm, voices, something as wholesome and simple as that powering some of these machines and abilities just stands out.
I really enjoyed this chapter and became an Emet fan over night. In the spoiler thread there was discussion about giving Emet more build up and characterization before all this. I don't doubt that something like what would have made the scene more impactful. However what was given really worked for me.
When I first read the scene it reminded me of experiencing The Lord of the Rings before The Hobbit. When Gimli stumbled upon the grave of Balin, I felt a little sad for him but I didn't think much of it. Now after going through the Hobbit and deep diving into all things Lord of the Rings, Gimli's tragic discovery carries so much more weight.
Of course the story was meant to be experienced with the Hobbit first but I started with the movies. Also none of that excuses how One Piece went about this latest scene with Emet. However, I give One Piece the benefit of the doubt because of it's 27 year history. With the tiny bit that we were shown I can tell Emet has been on some amazing adventures, experiencing all kinds of joys and sorrows. The little dialogue that we were given has already painted a picture that stirs my heart just a tiny bit.
Now while I have faith that we'll get a fleshed out flash back due to Joy Boy being such a prominent figure, if for some reason we didn't get any more on Emet, I'd be fairly satisfied with it's characterization. Of course Emet could get Kaido'd lol.
Emet talking with Luffy and Joy Boy just feels so wholesome.
About the Conquerors Haki disrupting the Elders. I'm reminded of Zoro intimidating Monet into literally falling apart. I believe Brennen brought forth an argument about that being a hint to Zoro's CoC usage. Remember Isurvivedthebustercall? Wonder how she's doing these days? She would often question why Conquerors Haki could have physical affects to White Beard's ship and what not. There just seems to be some other applications that might disrupt properties of Devil Fruits and/or magic spells. With the giant Captains questioning it so clearly, I bet we get answers eventually.
Can we assume that the elders are in fact sort of borrowing Imu's power, seeing how he apparently felt the CoC blast from the past and simultaneously the evocation was undone?
Hope that's the case, I'm making peace with the elders going from being potentially deep and morally ambiguous villains to "hurr durr smash puny insect, Human lives are our plaything" evil, but at least give us a unique ability and not just BIG FRUIT.
Also they recognised the robot from the assault on the red line but not from JoyBoy's posse, so while they're certainly ancient they're possibly not (all) the OG Imu team from 800 years ago
Quick off topic question
Is Urogue the only supernova who hasn\t interacted with the Straw Hats post time skip?
@kevo_koma Correct. I'm glad too. His winged angelness always interested me the most and he's definitely being saved for end game material.
He probably ha all kinds of connections and answers to Sky Lands, Lunarians, ancient kingdoms, etc.

Yep, meaning Oda is saving him for later, since he's the only one left.
And seeing as we seem set up to get more info on Lunarians and Uranus, Urouge may key into that.

Sounds great, hopefully he's treated more like a Kidd/Law/Capone and less like drake/apoo/hawkins
Do you guys think he shows up on Elbaf or later?
@kevo_koma If I was forced to put Drake in 1 of the 2, i'd do the same as you, but he is in this middle territory.
He's received more than Hawkins and Apoo as far as backstory.
Even with Kidd treated as a lead rival, he hasn't received an arc like Law and Capone really where his past and his present are connected for a purpose.
With this recent L, Kid might be prepared finally to get that.
Damn, it didn't hit me before. The way Gorosei communicate and share info, Luffy and Momo heard each other too. Imagine if that is another thing VP seen from the past and it inspired his goal for everyone to "share a brain" which was just him saying they connect to Punk Records 1 day.
Jinbei was worried that issues of ideology being inserted on top of each other while sharing a brain. I just never applied that to the ongoing Gorosei/Imu situation.
I'll be honest, it would be weak sauce if he was influencing them, even if they already agreed beforehand. Any effort to take away responsibility in the slightest would just be lackluster to me.
We know Oda created the Supernovas in a week, but it's obvious that at least some of them filled roles that Oda already had planned beforehand. Like, the pirate Bonney may have been created in a whim, but the character of Kuma's daughter was in Oda's plans, and he just fused the two.
So, of the Supernovas, I think:
Edit: Totally forgot Capone Bege, lol. I feel he wasn't meant to have a big role, but circunstances just led him to have a cool story.
Kid should be angry at law.
Law filled the part of the story that kid thought was gonna be his. Even Capone is laughing at kid. Now here comes Bonney for the icing in the cake to make sure that kid understands that he was never the guy.
I mean seriously, a rival of Luffy?. Luffy already had Blackbeard, Smoker and annoying Koby, How in the world was kid gonna fit in there?.
I actually like the way things turned out. Law and Capone were really great in their arcs. Capone surprised me in a good way.
Were there any seeds before timeskip between Law/Doffy? Can't remember at this moment. That would mean Bonney/Kuma had more than most Supernova pre-timeskip if so.
Kidd and Killer will be fine for an epilogue cameo showing them to be one of Luffy's more regular battle knuckleheads. Oda's gonna have space to fill once Blackbeard and Shanks are retired or eliminated by the end of the series anyway. It's not like the Beast Pirates are ever gonna recover and Linlin's family seems better off just giving up major piracy to stay and run Totland.
I know Drake's story isn't done, but he really has a lot to make up for the giant waste of time including him in Wano was. He's the absolute worst of the bunch right now. As it stands, he's a bad undercover agent and he's so rigid in orders that he's got no clue what to do when shit hits the fan and he has to adapt. Honestly, with him switching to be a major sword character, we shouldn't even really count him with the supernovas anymore. Now the most we can expect of him is to become one of Coby's top men when he takes over near the end.
Apoo playing wildcard has me expecting to still see more of him and he'll probably try to pull the same stuff under Buggy or Blackbeard. Just a little annoyed Oda still hasn't cleared up if the guy got out with all the Numbers, just a few, or just Inbi.
Hawkins played his role of the supernova who gave up just fine. Of course, if Drake's alive, I fully expect Hawkins still alive too. The question will just be if his drive was reignited at all or if he's just gonna retire to go full fortune teller now. I like to think Killer and maybe Drake did the former for him, but time will tell.
The world flooding should be something to drive Capone back into the action. The guy's not gonna tolerate having to let his son grow up in such a world. Guy was great on WCI, but was really lacking any other region to stay in the game until now. With Lola basically recruited, these guys actually have one of the most legit reasons to just ally under Luffy going forward, but we'll see.
Law is Law. He'll be back for me. As far as future-epilogue goes though... guy seems more like he's gonna step down from the famous pirate role to fully lean into the traveling miracle doctor. He'll just "happen" to run into Luffy every now and then.
Bonney still has story going to wait and see what's being setup.
Looking forward to Share the Urouge.

As I said above, Law's Jolly Roger uses the smile face from Doflamingo's, but not crossed out. People theorized a connection between them before the timeskip.
However, aside from that, we had nothing of post-TS Law in his pre-TS state. His personality seemed a bit different, being not so serious and being known for his cruelty (like when he teases Drake asking how many people Drake had killed).
Law did mention the "D will cause a storm" bit before the timeskip as well, so maybe Oda decided Law would be a D pretty early on (but maybe not at his debut, as he said that after Marineford).
@Deicide Oh, okay, I thought there was something during the auction.
My thoughts for the Supernova was that the crew would take them on 1 by one as they grew in the New World.
I did not expect for them to mostly be allies along the way.
