Looking at all their colors put together like that, it really only makes so much sense that Jinbe got brown.
Also, Lime kinda gets more possible now, especially with the kind of green they choose for Zoro.
yeah, lime or grey, feels like we can not get more colors in the blue - purple spectrum at least.
well, I guess Vivi's white gold would look like grey if she would have been featured.
Lime and white sus
Not gonna lie, it is suspicious and I'm curious if something is gonna come of those missing colors… lol
Seems a new oda comment about ch 1000 (im not sure but seems) :
Rough Translation: There won't be much traveling during New Year's, so please stay home and read Jump!
Now I'm curious, has Jump revealed any sales or printing numbers for this year? I wanna know how the pandemic and lockdown affected that particular market, all of the streaming platforms numbers rose.
And I'm just finishing re-reading Bakuman, so I'm really curious at how will chapter 1000 fare in the questionaries.
Thanks for the translation Shift.
Regarding the countdown character panel poster, that is really cool. Have to agree as well, lime or a certain variation of green would do well to balance the colours within the crew. Zoro being moss green leaves the door open for a lighter green :ninja:.

Thank you! How glorious and awesome it looks.
I can't wait to see the full color spread!!!!
Interesting, Nami is lower and more to the left than I expected her to be in the blurred version (her actual position was covered by the announcement in the blurred version), leaving more "empty" space than I thought.
Also, while we see Brook's arm, I still can't predict where he will be in the right half. The blurred version has no clear black blot that resembles his afro.
I don't think Carrot or Yamato or whoever else is in this colorspread, but it's surprising how you can see 8 members of the crew in just one half of the complete picture. Nami and Brook are cut in half, but they're in the middle. So only Luffy and Jimbe in the other side?

Even if the last member is not there (I don't think it is, but we did end up with more free space than i thought), the space may have something to keep people guessing.

Since Luffy will be more frontal on the right side, there's a pretty big space behind him and between Jinbe and Brook, who seems in the middle with Nami
I've created this collage with all countdown pictures and official "One Piece 1000 LOGS" logo in the center
Isn't Brook's afro covered by the treasure and gold falling on him?
Thanks for the info Scotch and edited countdown poster redon!

21 and a half years between both pictures
Oh, great! Even the happy whale is still behind Franky in the new version
Thanks for the Super HQ poster, redon!
New interview of Luffy's VA (Mayumi Tanaka) will be published in the next Jump.
In 2007, Oda described her as "my mother in Tokyo".
She advised Oda to eat vegetables because Oda's craving for meat was as insane as Luffy.
Hopefully she will reveal some interesting OP tidbits.

Chapter#1000 will come out on issue#5.6 of WSJ which can be read as ( Go.Mu / Rubber ) .
Indeed it is.
Makes me more excited for the chapter now =).
Damn, Oda's foreshadowing is strong in this one But for real, that is one amazing coincidence
New Projects to celebrating Chapter 1000,
-One Piece 7th Characters Popularity Poll.
-New Booster Pack for OP Vivre Card.
also, All Mangaka (Authors) in Weekly Shonen Jump have commented about One Piece reaching Chapter 1000 except 1 Mangaka.
Brook has a golden afro, which is why I couldn't locate him in the blurred preview.

*I Already translate all the comments but waiting for official translation would be better.
One Piece Special page by Kōhei Horikoshi (My Hero Academia author).
When I see that double spread with the crew surrounded by treasure I keep imagining that this is the scene where they emerge with One Piece and all the treasure it entails!
Seeing Jinbe in the line up still is a little surprising to me. It’s like seeing Ridley on the character select screen.
Oh, Deku, you're the worst pirate ever.
I really appreciate Horikoshi repping those minor characters.
The MHA comic is really cute. Just look at Deku's cuffs and the All Might pirate logo!
There's no Zoro though. I think Iida might have been a good choice.
Love Horikoshi's page, but Mineta Chopper is supremely cursed. I do love the All Might jolly roger as well though.

Well they share and English VA so it fits pretty well! Ochaco is dressed as Nami, they also share! Tho I doubt Horikoshi would care/know.
Another one, I think by Jujutsu Kaisen Author.
Another by Black Clover Author.
Need that color spreads from chapters 999 and 1000.
These all look spectacular and I would love to have them. Unfortunately, both the #3-4 and #5-6 issues of Jump have sold out basically immediately on CDJapan. Does anyone have any other Japanese stuff sites that won't leave me paying out the nose like I would on an ebay listing?

The highlights poster is actually a really interesting one because the row at the top below the years gives an indication of how the Japanese editors view the division of story arcs, which can sometimes be a contentious topic (arcs vs sagas, are water seven and ennies lobby one arc or two, ect) and has always been considered slightly differently between Japanese and English fans.
The list of arcs here goes, as best I can tell,
East Blue, Alabasta, Skypiea, Water Seven, Thriller Bark/Sabaody, Impel Down/Marineford, Fishman Island/Punk Hazard, Dressrosa, Zou/Tottoland and Wano.
(Despite what the English wiki would have you believe, I'm pretty Japan has never used a two-tiered arc/saga system in official material so this is just what it is. The bits where two arcs are connected in one segment of the bar seem to be arcs that wouldn't have been quite long enough to fill a section on their own.)
The choice to break the stuff between Sabaody and Marineford into three separate arcs like the Viz volumes is something that's gone back and forth in marketing material in the past (the Vivre Cards just have them all together as a Marineford arc, for example), so that's something. Hard to say if there's changing thinking about that era of the story or if consistent classification for it just doesn't matter that much. Perhaps more interesting is the decision that the Reverie is part of the Wano arc, which makes sense given how it's continued through the intermissions, but good luck getting the wiki editors to make that change, given how entrenched they are in their own system.
I do prefer the wikia system for many things, but there are a couple of details that just grind my gears. Water 7 and Enies Lobby being separated is absolutely ridiculous. That would be like separating Dressrosa from the Birdcage or Wano from Onigashima. Or separating Totto Land into the various islands they visit. The other is separating Reverie from Wano, despite Reverie being stupidly short and essentially continuing through the intermissions of Wano.
I'm not yet over One Piece Green's choice to separate Impel Down and Marineford, but I kinda agree on the common choice to make Thriller Bark/Sabaody an unicum for how short they're. The truly mess here is to put Punk Hazard with Fishmen Island and not Dressrosa.
I think they wanted to have divisions of similar lenghts? They even have Long Ring Long Land under Skypea instead of Water 7. All of them are relatively close to 100 chapters. 10 100 Chapters segments that made up the 1000 we're celebrating. Look at that consistency. And they say Oda doesn't have a good grasp on the pacing of his story.

That´s something nice to have, when you want to tell someone the whole story^^
