Jesus, NoxDraz, entitled much?
Anyways, I hope things will get even better, Greg! It really sucks to have a chronic condition
-
Feel better soon Greg. Thanks for still taking the time to post even with all of that going on. Hope your condition continues to improve!
I really should get twitter one of these days. Keep missing updates for all kinds of things…
-
I am a cold and distant person. Your enthusiasm and charisma has always warmed my dank heart. Your positive attitude even with faced by stupid arguments have been disarmed with a sincere smile. Your passion and drive have let you live the dream of all one piece fans, and with that same drive and energy you can get through this challenge.
-
Hope you feel better Greg! I've been dealing with core muscle instability on and off for last 2 years and had to forego a lot of activites I normally do. Can somewhat imagine what must be going through your mind. Gotta stay positive and active.
NoxDraz, damn son.

Saw a thread on reddit about Greg's health so I had to stop in here.
Hope you're on the road to delivery, Greg! Always loved your insight on all things One Piece, so hoping to many more healthy years!

Great to hear! Dealt with a younger sibling who went through some pretty scary medical stuff. Key is to stay positive. It goes a long way for everyone.
-
Get well soon, Greg!!!!!!!!
-
Keep up the healing Greg.
NoxDraz you need to stop and stay stopped.
-
I though that seing you active again meant that you were fine. I see it is not the case so I hope the good signals will continue.
-
Real quickly, sorry folks.
I realize I have many haters. That's part of getting a following (or being a lolcow as the individual this post is addressed to suggested) but I just found one who spent some time looking through my past posts trying to find signs of hate and, I gotta say, Wow! 14 years of posts and they raised one out of context use of a hateful term which I used to be insulting to those who would fathom using it genuinely.
Dear hater, I have long been aware that individuals like you regularly read this section of the board. If you're going for the, "Look at this decade-old post!"-gotcha technique, then at least don't show your bias by deliberately excluding one of my oldest posts where I deliberately call a person out for using said term and called its use then the same way I feel about it now, 'hateful'.
Because I realize angry individuals like yourself read what I write here, I try to take care with what I write. In fact, the recent post that set you off doesn't actually include what you insinuated that it did. Was it snarky? Sure. But I never said anyone 'lied' about anything. You made that up on your own.
I'm not even going to harp on you for pulling this right when I've been open about my illness because I expect this stuff as a matter of fact but for what it's worth you'd probably be a much happier person if you moved on instead of being consumed with so much hate. Just some advice that you're free to take or leave but please don't assume you're being clever.
-
Hope you get well soon Greg! Glad to hear you’re on the mend.
-
Whoever you're describing sounds like a scumbag.
-
When you hit mid-thirties the power of haters on the internet magically stops being effective. Some people develop this superpower earlier in life, they're called 'mature young adults' and I envy them because my 20's would've been filled with that many more hours of potential happiness.
While I appreciate the sentiment andre let's not name-call at this junction. They're angry and if I can relieve them of that anger I'm right here to try and right any past wrongs but they have to step up for that.

He isn't responding move on to level 2 antagonism.
Dear Greg past instances where i have professed to liking you were fraudulent

hope you get well soon!

Get well soon, Greg!! Wish you and your family all the best!
-
I'm pulling for your health and family's wellbeing to improve, Greg. It's very fortunate to hear your condition might be improving, but still make sure to take care of yourself.
And as a recent twenty-something year old trying to aim for improving my lifestyle and emotional wellbeing, I've been trying to take that "mature young adult" superpower ideal to heart. Even moreso now coming from you.
You've always been an awe-inspiring iconic geek I can only dream to become a fraction of. You deserve more much more than what life's been dishing out to you.
-
IDK if someone brought that up recently, but do you know Birka? The actual Birka in Scandinavia? Was an ancient trading City in the North during the viking raids.
Would be cool if Oda connected somehow Elbaf with Enel/Urouge by that means.EDIT: Get well soon, Greg!
-
Hope you will get well soon, Greg!

All the best and get well soon Greg.

Get well soon Greg

Do you guys think that Weevil will appear in this arc? or will they save him for the Rox pirates arc, since you know Bakkin and White Beard were probs on the Rox piartes, so it would make sense for them to appear in that arc

I think he's more likely to be a post arc threat, kind of like the fleet of enraged clients of Dofamingo who came after Dressrosa, though obviously on a larger scale. There's already too many pieces in play to add him now, and it wouldn't make any sense to do so before the Whitebeard pirates arrive. (If they do appear unexpectedly soon I might have to revise this prediction, but right now I don't expect them until toward the end of the main conflict at least.) I'm also not expecting a full Rox Pirates arc. Their lore will be covered, of course, but it'll be part of a larder, more relevant main conflict, not the primary focus of a whole storyline.

I would think that both Rox pirates and Weevil will play a role on Elbaf…

I hope Weevil will come with Marco's pineapple head impaled on his bisento[emoji48]

I don't see Weevil coming, otherwise Marco stayed back for nothing. Weevil has to at least come across Marco first before we can think about him coming to Wano IMO. We'll see anyways.
As for the Whitebeard Pirates, I definitely don't expect them either. Marco literally said he wasn't coming, and as far as I can tell, Nekomamushi didn't say he was going to go and find the rest of them, just Marco. Therefore they have no reason to suddenly appear at Wano. The only potential exception I could see is Izo, but that theory is admittedly still too far out there.
-
Considering Marco was meant to be a significant addition to the alliance, yep i see him joining Wa No arc, especially since Luffy being there apparently is commonly known info by now.

Umm this wouldn't change anything
-
But he explicitly stated he isn't coming.
I think he is talking about Weevil not Marco. Weevil is looking for Marco and wants to interrogate Luffy.

I'm starting to think that Marco will be the one who'll fight King.

But he is talking about the alliance to take down Kaido.

Yep and what characters say always comes right. He needs to protect the palce from Weevil, if Weevil is not there, his reason for staying is non-existent.

But he is talking about the alliance to take down Kaido.
Reason for Marco staying in WB´s village -> Weevil
Weevil goes after Luffy -> Wa No
Marco has no reason to stay, might even go after Weevil -> Wa No -
Yep and what characters say always comes right.
In this particular context, its pretty straightforward. He isn't going anywhere due to the threat of Weevil. Him stating that is something he won't suddenly change his mind on unless his situation changes. As of right now, that hasn't happened.

Your hypothetical is that Weevil will eventually show up in Wano, then Marco learns about it, and then Marco manages to make it to Wano all in time before the big battle. That seems pretty unrealistic IMO. Also that scenario would make Marco's message to Luffy rather redundant if he's just going to show up himself.
Personally, I think that if Marco really does end up coming, it'd only be after a direct confrontation with Weevil. If Marco was willing to hunt down Weevil in the first place, I feel like he would've already done that already. Weevil has already been in the news several times as it is, so I don't know why him being in Wano is what would suddenly change Marco's mind.

Which is a baseless assumption, Marco would not have hyped by Neko and thus indirectly by Oda if all it results to is "he will not come", might lead to something else entirely after Wa No, might lead to Wa No itself.
And Weevil is already addressed.Everyone and his mother learned about Luffy being at Wa No shortly after he actually came there -> sounds pretty realistic to me.
Depends on the message.
Hunting down Weevil entails actually finding him first, which also entails leaving the village alone.
Different from knowing he is at Wa No. -
It seems to me that if Marco learns that Weevil is going to Wano to get to Luffy. As Weevil and Bakkin wanted to use Luffy to get to Marco, that would give Marco a reason to leave.
The message, if related to Kaido, then Neko delivering still serves its purpose. As Weevil and Marco would show up afterwards in my opinion.

You guys are stretching harder then Luffy

You guys are stretching harder then Luffy
Oda set the pieces up for SOME reason. He didn't need to bring Marco up at all, or have Catviper want him in on things, or introduce Weevil 200 chapters ago.
They may not factor into Wano because its super crowded already, but if not Wano then certainly almost immediately after.
But really, why not Wano? The arc is planned to take several weeks in-universe, rather than the usual day or two every other arc in the series has been. Aside from synching up with the full moon for all the Minks to go super in, which Oda could have done at any time if he didn't preview it in Big Mom's arc… why make it a multi week event if not to fgive different pieces travel time to arrive? I mean, we've already seen Big Mom show up, and Jinbe almost certainly must by the end. So... why not Marco?
