Deadpool and Logan are doing something marvel won't ever do in their pg mcu, so having them be seperate and provide variety is a good thing.

Days of Future Past has a score of 91% at Rotten Tomatoes why wouldn't you include that as the "good films" …
Guardians Of The Galaxy and Doctor Strange are pretty darn chintzy when compared to everything else they produced.
Sure, but its still the same family-friendly fun movie. Enjoyable, very, but sometimes I want something edgier that Marvel can't provide, that DC is for the love of god hasn't been able to provide since Nolan left, and that, clearly, Logan provides. They would never make a Blade, regardless of how you feel about those movies. Even Spiderman 2, one of my favs, would feel completely out of place if suddenly a part of the MCU, and I don't know why.
Luckily, we have the Netflix Marvel, we have Daredevil.

After the awfulness of the 3rd movie I'm content remembering how good the first movie was and how okay the 2nd was…...besides the market is already saturated with movies about Vampires.

I really liked the 3rd Blade movie lol. It was a so bad so good action movie to me. Plus Ryan Reynolds, vampire dogs and one of the best movie insults. I don't even remember what 1 or 2 was about lol.
-
Blade, another proud entry on the big list of random shit Kris Kristofferson has shown up in.
-
Third Blade movie is awful, but I could watch it and the entire trilogy any day of the week. I don't know why. I'm not that huge of a vampire fan or a Blade fan. Maybe I just find them and Wesley Snipes entertaining as hell.

I don't know what Blade 3 was about either other than Whistler dying (again) and Dracula doing whatever.
But hey Jessica Biel / Parker Posey Eyecandy.

Blade 3 summed up in one pic:

Is that a vampire panawhateverthatkindofdogicalled or just a normal panawhateverthatkindofdogiscalled?

I think I like Wesley Snipes better in To Wong Foo: Thanks for Everything Julie Newmar.

It's Pomeranian.
-
Yes, it is a vampire Pomeranian.
-
Vampire pomeranians and Kris Kristofferson: Vampire Hunter are about all I remember from the Blade movies.
-
I feel the tv-censored version of blade trinity is a tad bit better, because Reynolds' name sticker saying "Suck you". Like a hilariously bad joke for a vampire movie, in a hilariously bad joke of a vampire movie.

sluuuuurrrrrpp

^ Is it magically delicious?
-
I liked the guy, but I feel like we're running the risk of Draxx overexposure at this point. He's moving from Gruff Completely-Literal Man to Overall Goofball.
-
Logan was amazing. Hate comic X-23, but the Laura introduced in this movie deserves her own movie.
-
YES.
BTW, can anyone tell me what song is playing in the background of this?

Kurt Russell completes his evolution into Kenny Rogers.

@Galaxy:
Ohhhhh, I see.
It's one of those songs where the cool part isn't until the end of the song.
-
So Gamora really can dance after all.
Did anyone saw the movie Tron?

The whole damn song is cool, thank you very much.

Logan Spoilers
! I was expecting them to go with a version of Wolverine's tragic slaughter of the X-men for this film, so I went in mentally preparing for that. After now knowing that Xavier did it in the movies just made me very sad. It works, but man this movie makes you feel for Xavier just as much as Logan. Poor dude lost his adopted sister to his best friend who became evil and paralyzed him, then had most of his students drafted in Vietnam, then he traded off his powers for the ability to walk again, then went bald after Poe Dameron wanted his body, and then in his old age accidentally kills most of the X-men while being mentally ill.
! And this isn't even counting the Days of Future Past/OG Trilogy timeline -
Logan was an amazing movie. Easily the best XMen movie so far. Might be in my top 5 Marvel movies.
On one hand, I think it's great that Hugh Jackman ends his Wolverine career on such a high note, but on the other I can't help but feel a little bad for him. What a waste that he couldn't do more XMen movies close to the level of that one. -
Just got back from seeing Logan.
Let's just say I was already feeling kinda down before seeing the movie and this really didn't help. I mean I guess it's a well made movie and all that, but that was so not what I needed today…
! Also this kinda renders every other X-Men movie super-depressing in hindsight knowing that Xavier ultimately ends up developing a degenerative brain disease and killing a lot of people, presumably including characters we saw in the other movies, by accident… and then he gets murdered a year later. Like, I understand they're still gonna make more movies featuring the younger cast after this but... the fact that they will all inevitably meet a tragic end will probably just always be in the back of my mind during those movies...
-
So that was the best Shane remake.
-
-
Alright good to know that I didn't hallucinate hearing the fucking John Williams Superman theme.
Wonder what back and forth studio politics were required to get that to happen.
-
Wow, have they really filmed enough for the first teaser trailer already?

It was filmed specifically to tie into Logan, not Deadpool 2.

! And this isn't even counting the Days of Future Past/OG Trilogy timeline! Oh nooo! I didn't even get that Charles killed the other X-Men. I hadn't see many other X-Man movies so I didn't think too much about characters being absent.
! 'Logan' had many very emotional scenes and I have almost only nitpicky criticism. Great movie. -
how can you not love hawkeye after this
-
Welp, looks like Deadpool 2 trailer is officially official!
Brilliant.
-
Logan was great. Jackman and Stewart ended their iconic roles on a very emotional high.
It's so bittersweet, man. -
Normally I would say a 2 hour 15 minute movie is a bit too long but for this case it was just right.
Logan Spoilers.
! About the termination/death of the X-Men. I don't believe it was all Professor X's fault. In the woods scene the man that had been hunting them the whole movie states that the scientist was responsible for the near-extinction of their kind or something like that. I think the scientist and his organization had a lot to do with why there were no more mutants being born and why a lot of the mutants that were already alive are now dead. Earlier in the movie Caliban was also accused of helping the organization track and hunt mutants down so some of the X-Men might have been killed off in that purge.
! Also, if it's true that Professor X killed his school off I find it kind of disturbing how Logan so causally brought up that Charles used to run a school during dinner with that family. Even if Logan doesn't think Professor X could remember why would he risk triggering any recollection?
! Lastly, the saddest and most brutal scene for me wasn't Logan's eventual death after 200 years of battle of and regrets. Close but not quite. The worst scene for me was the slaughter of that innocent family who helped Logan posse out and even gave them their home to stay in for a night. That scene where the father tries to shoot Logan but has run out of bullets…. That shit hit hard and you could see it on Logan's face when the man dies. -
Logan was great. Might be the best X-men movie yet.
And now I'm left wondering what the future holds for X-men films and who the next Wolverine might be.

! Honestly, I just knew that was going to happen, and it was still pretty brutal when it did.
! The thing that bugs me though is that I feel Logan and Xavier should've known better. Like, I get that Xavier wanted Logan to reconnect with the "real world" and "family" and all that, but they knew they were being tracked and hunted by dangerous people and they shouldn't have gotten innocent people involved. -
The wolverine trilogy is now one of the weird ones where each installment drastically improves over the previous one.
Logan's really good, and is a great way to end Jackman's character. Kinda sad near the end when you think of the bigger picture stuff, but it was more fitting than a cheesy, upbeat ending.

Even if Logan doesn't think Professor X could remember why would he risk triggering any recollection?! I got the same idea, wasn't sure where others were getting the idea that Xavier killed the X-Men accidentally. I might've missed a line or something. But I just got the notion that Xavier had a seizure and killed a bunch of innocent people in the past.
! I can't recall, but didn't Wolvy say "I hate guns" in the first movie? It was neat that they made the idea less cheesy in this film and came full circle with it. The ending when Laura quotes the old western movie: "There's no more guns in the valley" had me in tears. :( -
Just got back from seeing Logan. Easily hits my top five, no, top three superhero movies.
[Normally I would say a 2 hour 15 minute movie is a bit too long but for this case it was just right.[/QUOTE]
Agreed.Logan Spoilers.

Earlier in the movie Caliban was also accused of helping the organization track and hunt mutants down so some of the X-Men might have been killed off in that purge.
! I just came back from seeing the movie. It was probably all Professor X's fault. It can be a bit confusing, but the scientist in the woods scene has an interrupted monologue where he states that he's responsible for the lowered mutant birth rates. The government or whatever the gene agency is called poisoned the water supply and food like sweet drinks with a virus that cancelled out the X-gene. Then there's the radio broadcast about how Charles' first brain degeneration incident a decade previous specifically killed only seven mutants. That's a pretty small and contained number. Other mutants in the world might have been hunted down, but the movie quotes strongly indicate that Charles is solely responsible for the demise of the X-Men.
! Also, I just want to give a shout out to Caliban for being such a freaking champ. I was so sure that he was just going to be a wuss that would sell out Logan and Charles for his own selfish welfare because of how he isn't a well-known X-Men character (I don't even think he's been in any of the previous films). But they really emphasized how his assistance came from torture. And that suicidal explosion scene was just badass. The characterization in this movie is just freaking great. So glad that X-23 didn't turn out to be annoying but actually really cool and endearing as she bonded with Charles and Logan.! Also, if it's true that Professor X killed his school off I find it kind of disturbing how Logan so causally brought up that Charles used to run a school during dinner with that family. Even if Logan doesn't think Professor X could remember why would he risk triggering any recollection?
! I also found that pretty awkward. But honestly, the humor was still plenty effective lol.
! I agree. It might have just been me, but I interpreted that family as being symbolic for the family life that Logan had and what Charles wants him to appreciate again. But once they die indirectly due to Logan, and bittersweetly due to Logan's own freaking clone (I can't think of a better way to show that Logan metaphorically and literally killed the family lol), it ties in with the movie's classic western theme of how killing's a brand that permanently sticks. He can't go back to being a family man again.
-
! I wonder if making X-24 look like Liev Schrieber was a conscious thing.
-
@Cyan:
! I wonder if making X-24 look like Liev Schrieber was a conscious thing.
! lol I thought the exact same damn thing. It didn't help that both that and the fact I couldn't make out the last words Charles said made me think of this scene:
! -
First look cover of Taika Waititi's (What We Do in the Shadows, Hunt for the Wilderpeople, Boy) Thor: Ragnarok (showing, from left to right, Hela, (short-haired) Thor, and Valkyrie). Obviously they have (cool) helmets, but for some reason, EW going to continue to EW and not show them off. lol
-
Hela looks pretty cool. Not a fan of short-haired Thor though. He just looks like a generic pretty boy spartan.
-
I don't get why is he using 2 swords.
-
@Count:

I for one did not recognize Chris Hemsworth. I saw the photo and initially thought "who the fuck is that" lol
And Cate Blanchett as Hela looks interesting, here's hoping she's a milestone improvement over Malekith, his characterization as a villain was forgettable garbage.
-

Since this movie is using inspiration from Planet Hulk, maybe Thor is forced to fight in a tournament or something.

I almost thought that was Matt Damon lol.
Same. The costume and makeup is a start. But I don't really have faith in Marvel when it comes to villains at all outside of Netflix. But I would love to be surprised.

A few more, on-the-set pictures from Thor: Ragnarok: (full gallery: http://imgur.com/a/8YbIf )
Cate Blanchett's Hela:
Jeff Goldblum as The Grandmaster (same kind of guy/species/member/person/thing as The Collector):

Damn Cate Blanchett looks different as hell.
-
Oooo, Cate looks good in brunette.

Why does the guy appear to have a horse head?
-

Why does the guy appear to have a horse head?
Because that is not Thor. He is an alien called Beta Ray Bill, who is also worthy enough to lift Mjolnir (but he got his own unique Urunhammer called Stormbreaker).
