I start to doubt that Trump's reign wont survive past summer, he is far too belligerent and full of himself to make any compromise or diplomatic solutions.
They said the same thing about his presidential candidacy.

The State Department’s entire senior management team just resigned
Who's next in line to replace them? Sounded like they were ready to retire anyways, or above the retiring age.

I have mixed feelings. I'm all for sticking out to Trump and this makes an undeniable statement, but who will they inevitably be replaced with?

https://www.nytimes.com/2017/01/26/business/media/stephen-bannon-trump-news-media.html?_r=1
“The media should be embarrassed and humiliated and keep its mouth shut and just listen for awhile,” Mr. Bannon said during a telephone call.
“I want you to quote this,” Mr. Bannon added. “The media here is the opposition party. They don’t understand this country. They still do not understand why Donald Trump is the president of the United States.”
On the telephone, Mr. Bannon spoke in blunt but calm tones, peppered with a dose of profanities, and humorously referred to himself at one point as “Darth Vader.” He said, with ironic relish, that Mr. Trump was elected by a surge of support from “the working class hobbits and deplorables.”
Asked if he was concerned that Mr. Spicer had lost credibility with the press, Mr. Bannon chortled. “Are you kidding me?” he said. “We think that’s a badge of honor. ‘Questioning his integrity’ — are you kidding me? The media has zero integrity, zero intelligence, and no hard work.”
“You’re the opposition party,” Mr. Bannon said. “Not the Democratic Party. You’re the opposition party. The media’s the opposition party.”
“The paper of record for our beloved republic, The New York Times, should be absolutely ashamed and humiliated,” Mr. Bannon said. “They got it 100 percent wrong.”
He added that he has been a reader of The Times for most of his adult life.
NYT continues to treat Trump with kid gloves and do BOTH SIDES articles

Not much she can do. She's already too busy keeping European deserters in line who want to lift sanctions.

She won't like it, if I had to guess.

Has anyone seen the Democrats lately? Seems like they don't understand what opposition means. Spicer says they're going to pay the wall with an import tariff of 20%, basically writing the attack ads themselves, and there's total crickets from the dems.

So less than a week of Trump in the presidency, and this happened

So there is actually one useful thing propaganda outlets offer.
They can be a little peephole into what the offending regime that runs them actually is thinking and wants to broadcast.
And the existence of this is real real interesting lol.–- Update From New Post Merge ---

They seem to be starting to get a handle on it, though I have mixed feelings about the "scorched earth" tactics they seem ready to embrace.

Trump's giving himself the power to fire other countries.
Trump, who wants to boost U.S. manufacturing, said he would seek one-on-one trade deals with countries that would allow the United States to quickly terminate them in 30 days "if somebody misbehaves."

Also, apparently the 20% thing isn't certain. Spicer is saying it's an "example," so maybe they changed their mind?

So is Trump really actually seriously going through with building the great wall of Mexico?
It's one of those things I'd happily written off as another campaign lie, and it's really scary to see such a crazy idea get dragged out again.Maybe he's just mad about the meeting being cancelled?

He has been butthurt about being outconned by a mexican mogul. And now he got baited into revealing that his clown wagon has no idea on how to make Mexico pay for the wall without starting a legal mess over stopping the cash flow of mostly legal citizens or just having american tax payers pay for it instead.

The Mexican legal system is corrupt, as is much of Mexico. Pay me the money that is owed me now - and stop sending criminals over our border
What the fuck? That's the language of war!
If he thinks Mexico owes him the money, does that mean he is America? Are we talking about a madman who seriously believes that he's a dictator now?

It's a tweet from 2015.

Well that scared me. It's slightly better he said it as a citizen then as President. Slightly.
Although, what money is he talking about then?

- On January 23rd, 2017, DT reinstated the global gag order, which defunds international organizations that even mention abortion as a medical option.
An update to this bit of news. The Netherlands is in talk with 15 to 20 other countries to step up and fund the organizations that will stop receiving money from the United States due to the gag order. It might amount to 600 million dollars in funding but with support they can do it.

Hey, this is new. Now a "March for Science" is getting organized. Wouldn't it be great if that was a success too?

More on the Mikhailov arrest; he may have been a US intelligence asset in the Russian government.
The timing seems suspect especially when you consider how many ties Trump's inner circle has with Russia.

They should include Animal Farm. Right now we're fascist more than communist, but it gets the point across anyway.
Oh, add Fahrenheit 451 in there too.

You know… I laughed at first when I saw "the most powerful twitter account in the world!" Then I thought about it... should it even be legal for the president to use twitter?
If the president's twitter is hacked, it could start a war. If the president fails to adequately explain himself in 140 characters or less, it could start a war. There's basically no upside to the president having an active twitter account.

If you're rereading it, consider the similarities between the main character and Chelsea Manning. Our military has really done some inhuman things over the last 15 years, and terrorist entrapment policies (of which Chelsea was not a victim, but are still commonly used today) haven't stopped being used to my knowledge.

I'm a little confused about the photo controversy. Allegedly he stole photos from Obama's inauguration, right? Why is it so frustratingly hard to find clear info on google?
-
^ The issue with those photos is the date printed on them while my memory is shaky I'm pretty sure the inauguration was not on the 21st.
And despite that error it didn't stop Trump from tweeting about the portrait or showing it off on national TV.
I don't believe there's much controversy regarding alleged photoshopping though. Especially as the issue of course is Trump pitching a bitchfit because he can't stand the idea less people attended his inauguration than Obama's and the women's march.
