I still don't get the chapter title.
Is it supossed to menat a Dog's Death? Anyway, still out of context.

- Brûlée says that "the mirrors" know what they're reflecting, rather than "we". Chopper and Carrot then call out to them in a Snow White reference in the VIZ version: "Mirrors, mirrors in this hall! Which of you leads past the castle wall?!"
I love references like this, especially with how fairy tale themed this arc is. My score from 1 to 10 for this translation is:
!
Yep, still don't really get this chapter's title. Tab End, Moist Cigarette, Cigawet, Dog End… I think I'd rather leave it as Goat Overlord, actually. That is more understandable ^^

Dog-end is a British colloquialism for the butt of a cigarette. It also alludes to the worst part of something, so I think it's a great choice for the English title of the chapter.

Sanji is in the rain with a wet cigarette.
Here's the dictionary meaning for it in English http://tangorin.com/general/shikemoku Chapter title was "Shikemoku"
As herpdat said, it's a pretty good fit for the English version. Makes perfect sense.
Excuse me for not knowing what a Dog's End means.
Excuse me for not knowing what a Dog's End means.
I didn't know either until herpdat haha
I already dislike Pudding's DF enough, it would be way too convenient if Pudding'is responsible for every evil action from BM.
And Big Mom would be the lamest emperor if she is manipulated by one of her daughter.
I wouldn't be surprised, might be a common theme. Seems like all the yonkou have some big hangup, somehow doffy was keeping Kaidou back from going to war or something.
I think it would be semi cool if pudding is the more evil character here, and has been manipulating bm this entire time.
Oh, so Brook really does call Big Mom a young lady! This now officially makes the checklist of jaw-droppingly hype moments in One Piece.
Shouldnt Luffys Vivre Card be burning at this point? When Ace was in prison he didnt look worse than Luffy is now. Its possible that the other Strawhats and Fleet are already gathering.
What do you think Big Mom stole from Jinbei? 50 Years?

I didn't see it on the wheel, but maybe mating capabilities.

Tab End and Dog End both refer to the end of a cigarette, and seem to be the most accurate translations to the original intent. Moist Cigarette and Cigawet are extrapolated slightly for the emphasis on wetness, but otherwise get the point across. (Note that Sanji is not trying to light a new cigarette here, he's got the same one in his mouth from when he was approaching Pudding's window last chapter, and he's just trying to relight the last little bit of it.) I have no idea where Goat Overlord came from, but it seems furthest away from anything that makes sense.
Is Goat Overlord perhaps some Japanese slang term for this kind of thing? That's the most benefit of the doubt I'm able to give Mangastream for that title…

Given who Luffy is and how he operates, it wouldn't surprise me if his card was constantly burning. He's a real fire hazard. Putting the whole fleet at risk.

Reread the arc and doesn't it kind of seem like Big Mom plans to "stick to the plan" and go through with the wedding normally? Maybe in some weird way Pudding or whatever is controlling
Pudding is also manipulating Big Mom? The way Big Mom blissfully talks about the wedding and eating the wedding cake seems like she genuinely thinks the wedding is going to go off without a hitch.
Furthermore, what does Big Mom gain from the betrayal? She seems to have more to lose such as her reputation, than she stands to gain by betraying Judge. The army was going to be all but hers basically with the wedding/alliance in the first place. I think more is going on here than Oda~sama has let us see.
So nobody believes that Jinbe actually gave up on leaving Big Mom's crew and thus paid nothing to her?

I think she took his singing voice like Ursula from The Little Mermaid.

Or even better his ability to breath under water and she had Pudding cause him to forget fishman karate. Still want him as Nakama?
That's not to say he won't be served his just desserts. However, if it's what I think it is, Sanji will harm him more severely and deeply than any physical pain could.
Can't happen soon enough. What do you think Sanji will do? That vague description alone sounds pretty glorious.
@Count:
I get what you're feeling. I somehow think the same way, yet have no idea how cloning can tie into the Giant theme. Unless she wants to make Giant clones of her family to replace them, I don't know lol.
I figure it would tie into the racial utopia aspect of her dream. The way she talks about it makes it sound like Totto Land is just the first step in a greater scheme. Don't know how admittedly but it makes the most sense for her character.
@Count:
I would have as well. But I still think there is a chance. It would have to be at the end though. Big Mom does that strange illness which is bound to show up again. Oda's really thought through with having the Straw Hats present in this arc utilize their unique skills as notable "unexpected" advantages. I highly doubt having the doctor of the Straw Hats come was a coincidence. And since Big Mom's illness is quelled when she gets food, medicine cooked up by Chopper (if it's possible) could be in the form of food. Sanji can help out with that. I also liked sharing a theory in another thread weeks ago about how Sanji failed to save his mother from her illness by cooking bad food as a kid, and now he can figuratively redeem himself with another mother and be a proficient chef like her.
That sounds promising, I definitely don't want the mother/son motif to get swept under the rug. I can absolutely see Sanji having unresolved issues with his mom and we know Linlin has them with Lola.
@Count:
I always supported Judge having his own flashback of some sort. We didn't even see Momji's name, and if her character isn't expanded upon, Sanji's backstory is just literally a ripoff of Usopp's. I doubt Oda would be THAT repetitive, even by One Piece standards.
Also, I doubt that was real affection. I argue that he just cares about vicariously living through them by placing value on their genetic enhancements. If anything, his desperation to force Sanji to catch up with his siblings before giving up give me huge vibes of Judge having insecurities regarding mortality, which would line up with how he criticized Sanji's cooking by saying that his mother is dead and how Momji had a mysterious illness. Judge probably does have some form of emotional attachment, but I doubt it's actual legitimate love as much as having pride in his experiments living up to his standards. Just because a flashback might highlight some more of Judge's traits does not mean he will be redeemed (not that you're saying that, it's just that I've seen some people theorize that), because that still doesn't justify his actions since then at all. If anything, Oda gives flashbacks to villains whenever he wants us to hate them more, and knowing that Judge used to be a nice person but succumbing to irrationally inconsiderate overcompensation by trying to play God would definitely do that.
True, I agree with all your points. I only brought it up because it's the only instance so far that indicate he's even capable of expressing positive emotion.
The Vinsmokes are like that person who shows up to a party unannounced and uninvited, with this uncanny ability to suck the life out of a room just by being there. Reading the manga when it focuses on them, is like attempting to enjoy a party in spite of the people who ruin the mood being right up in your face. The Germa as a group have that kind of oppressive presence to me, no levity whatsoever. This is especially glaring when you have Big Mom and everything associated with her to compare them to. Now on the one hand I do enjoy that distinction between the two groups. But the Germa side of it is certainly the lesser of the two. It's difficult to imagine disliking Judge more than I already do.
@Count:
I would love for it to be revealed that the reason Momji died or even got sick in the first place was from being the guinea pig for Judge's early Lineage Factor experiments. Basically in a way where her being experimented on allowed her to safely and successfully pass on the exoskeleton an enhanced physiology genes to her children during conception (Transgenesis in a nutshell. If you need an example of how it's occasionally used in sci-fi stories, watch Rise of the Planet of the Apes), but couldn't be healthily sustainable in an already grown body.
That or he killed her to "save her pain" or out of insecurities, I guess lol.
Something along those lines would do the trick. I'm not confident Oda will go in that direction with him though. But if this chapter has taught me anything it's to be open minded.

Well with a name like stePHen I should of known he was an undercover redcoat just waiting to throw british terms into this arc, give it a few years and one piece will read like downtown abbey
If a fully matured human clone takes 5 years, then a fully matured giant might take way long, if their life expectancy is 3 tines that of humans, let's say it takes twice as long because ~math~. It would be easier to just refine the cloning process, and have a magical serum to turn into giants, that tied to, if in 5 years you can get a 20~ year old, that is 15 years of life span supply.
With Pudding's ability, she could see the entire film from the Vinsmokes and see how they developed their research. Additionally, she basically inserted fake memories, she could do that with their own people, like a memory transfer. That's why they don't need them. They can get their memories and their tech, their ego and demands just get in the way.
Is Goat Overlord perhaps some Japanese slang term for this kind of thing?
Hahaha no! Goat Overlord was a crack up. Apparently one of the translators names or something.
But anyway, the japanese title was "Shikemoku", you can google it for a definition.

What do you think Big Mom stole from Jinbei? 50 Years?
Possibly 10 years or Fishmen island so he went back to her side or both.
So nobody believes that Jinbe actually gave up on leaving Big Mom's crew and thus paid nothing to her?
Well, seeing as Jinbei has both arms and legs, that's what I believe.
Thinking back to that newspaper, it was mostly right about him declining the roulette not because Jinbei was scared, but because he was told by his crew to be selfish for once. His version of selfishness is probably leaving BM's crew and joining the SHs without forfeiting his years or his crew, seeing that Jinbei is good at exploiting loopholes in other people's logic (hoping I make sense).
Why is the chapter called Goat overload here? Just checked MS and they used a different term but it matches viz' title. So which idiot called it goat overload? I don't get it all
For the 100th time (seriously that question was just answered on the last page:getlost:), Goat Overlord is the name of the Mangastream guy who translated this chapter, the guy who created this thread made a mistake and used the translators name for the chapter title.

Try the Jaimini Box version.
RIP Goat Overlord. You will be missed (mostly by Wagomu).
No time is too late for moderator action!
So nobody believes that Jinbe actually gave up on leaving Big Mom's crew and thus paid nothing to her?
Except if his crew had to pray the price I seriously hope not. After Big Mom throwing away his usual pattern of marriage I don't need Jimbei throwing away his usual code of honor.

Well, after the first explanations I got it. Nice catch, that about Sanji trying to relight his "Dog-End" this chapter and not a new cigarette. And yeah, Goat Overlord was MS's translator or something, which was mistaken for the chapter's title by the time the thread was created. Still the best title though!
And since the next chapter comes out in ~2 days, might as well leave it as Goat Overlord, now!
Goat Overlord sounds like a villain in The Tick or something silly like that. Well, Oda's made some silly characters too, so it wouldn't have been surprising.
Next character will have the chair-for-a-head fruit!

Actually a Japanese girl translates OP for MS
It didn't really help that the translator name was right where the title usually is, plus it was early in the morning and I just got out of bed

You only have to focus on the next chapter's title, dude.
Things like this makes me recall of the golden age of scanlations/fansubs, when Mototronko no Fansub was out there making the best for nothing.

just wondering. will there be a chapter this week?

I cracked up reading that, who would have thought that he would actually have been Apoo's worst enemy like the above post mentioned.
Xusasu Basasu omg
