Jill's platform and campaign consist of her tweeting every day that Hillary Clinton is a racist criminal.
Indecision 2016 - In Soviet Russia, we elect american president!

Ah, it's finally come to this. Here's hoping Hillary really tries to bring through as much of the program as she can. Her bobbing her head the whole time Sanders was speaking was hilarious though! Jill Stein the Green's nominee? How much percent do they usually get?
-
How much percent do they usually get?
Less than 1%. They've only ever beaten that threshold with 2.74% in 2000. And we all know how that turned out.
-
I switched to supporting Hillary months ago when it was clear that Bernie had the completely wrong temperament for the presidency, but I'm still a little nervous about some aspects of her foreign policy record, including her State Department's tacit approval of the 2009 coup in Honduras and the resulting disappearances, suppression of the media, and assassinations of leftist and environmental activists which continues to this day. This issue hits a little too close to home for me since a family friend of mine lost her brother in the post-coup violence. I also don't agree with her belief that Plan Colombia was anything other than a gigantic disaster, or how hawkish she'll likely be with Iran… I know that Clinton isn't responsible for realpolitik being so entrenched in the foreign policy of Washington leaders, that Stein would arguably be worse by being well-intentioned but completely lacking in understanding of international relations, and that Trump would be a million times worse than Clinton, but saying that opposition to her from the left only follows the GOP narrative of her alleged "moral failings", and not genuine disagreement with some of her policies and worldview (and by extension, most of Washington DC's) simplifies things a bit, though it doesn't make said opposition any less self-defeating.
-
The Left seems convinced that Reagan is still president and that the US still gives a damn about busitng heads Latin America. The truth is that the Obama administration looked at the Honduras coup, said "eh, what can you do?", and went back to focusing on places that actually matter these days. I'm not sure what people wanted Hillary to do, orchestrate a Cold War-style counter-coup?
-
TLDR version. She's statistically more honest than most politicians, most of the scandals have been hack jobs with no bearing in reality, the money she's earned is about normal for someone of her profile, and she is not in any way actually sold out to wall street, any more than she's sold out to Canada. And she's actually one of the most qualified people in history to go for the job.
Gotcha. Thanks. For the record, I was never concerned about the supposed "scandals" as long as you mean stuff like the email thing and other Silly Distractions, most of the stuff that I found most troubling came from Clinton herself during the campaign, like the whole "I don't know where Bernie Sanders was when I was trying to get healthcare reform in 93" thing and a lot of her vague non-answers that she's given when challenged. Things like that. But few if any of my concerns came from the standard nonsense points I've been hearing a lot of. Trust me, I've been just as annoyed with them as you, considering they've done nothing but take away from the actual conversations that we could be having. But I'm glad there's evidence that her Wall Street connections won't be too damaging, that puts me at ease a little.
I want to believe in Hillary. I want to trust that she'll be better at being a president than she is at running for president. I really do. But still, forgive me if I'm still a bit reluctant to proclaim my unconditional faith in her from the rooftops just yet. There's still a lot that I'm wondering about, but that can only really be answered by what she actually manages to do when she wins, and if they actually take us in a better direction or not… same as it would be for anyone, really.
-

That comes from being a trained politician who has a very public, very lengthy record. It's better for her, when on camera, to say "I'm not sure about that" than to say "I know for a fact…" or "I have always..." and then to get that thing fact checked and have a contrary statement from before the Berlin Wall fell haunt her. Middleground answers can be expanded upon later, have teams do fact checkign and research to get you an informed answer first... things that are wrong are just wrong. Especially when getting pelted with hundreds of out the blue questions a day from any given direction with no preparation. Its better for her to say "I don't know where Bernie was on the issue" than to say "Bernie wasn't there". One is her not remembering an event from 20 years ago in photographic detail, the other is just being wrong.
As opposed to Trump's tactic which is to go "No way, I never said that" and then have a clip show up saying he said exactly that.
On the other hand, if asked something like "do you accept support from the KKK" your immediate response should be "Hell no, they're an awful group." as opposed to "I'm not sure who that is, I don't want to upset my racist base by saying they're bad." It varies depending on the question being asked.
In the actual office she'd have advisors whose job it is to know these things cold and a huge staff to fact check and she can get answers to questions within 5 minutes... which is way better than just assuming you know and having to answer on the spot. (It IS good to have a working knowledge of a lot of areas, but you should get informed first before making decisions.) And off-camera she can be more decisive.
It's been said a lot she's not great on the campaign trail but that people like her when she's doing the actual job.

Benghazi Night!!! -
There will also be a presentation on Bill Clinton's sexual misconduct.

A full third of the listed speakers are Trump and his family. That alone speaks volumes about how willing people were to join their lineup.
Also, I notice that Christie and Pence aren't listed while Gringrich is.

Alright, thanks for addressing that. On the current topic, I'm very concerned that the speaker on the first night of the convention talking about his dead son is going to make things even worse for anybody who looks Hispanic in this country.

Why the fuck are the UFC president and Tim fucking Tebow speaking at the convention? Sad!
Seems like a strong clue Newt won't be the VP pick. He wouldn't really make two speeches on the same night, right?
-
What's the over/under on dark horse and haughty dipshit Mike Pence?
Pence as the Republican VP candidate? This has to be a joke, right? Edit:Indy Star says they have confirmed it, but I'm not trusting anything till tomorrow.
-
Time to call your election boards to tell them your not comfortable with voting in your local churches? http://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-36796493

Trump might well pick somebody else just because Pence was announced early.

Trump really helped the UFC stay afloat back in the day when it was struggling and losing money. Trump not only hosted events at his casinos when no one else would, but would even attend them himself. To this day he still purchases the pay-per-view events as well. Dana is just repaying a favor to a friend.

Pfffffft
Ok, not kidding in the slightest here.
Both their mothers' names are Dorothy.
! Guys, I found a transcript of the conversation between Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton that led to him endorsing her.
Sanders: I WILL take this all the way to the convention! It will be contested!! I WILL Beat you, or at least make sure you lose to Trump!!!
Hillary: But… I wanted to make Dorothy Proud...
Sanders: What does that mean? Why did you say that name?...
Hillary: Help me beat him.... Make Dorothy Proud...
Sanders: Why did you say that name? Dorothy? Why did you say that name? WHY DID YOU SAY THAT NAME?!?!
[Sanders goes into hysterics, about to attack Hillary]
[Bill Clinton rushes in between he and Hillary]
Bill: It's her mother's name!…. It's her Mother's name....
Hillary: She's in heaven now, but being the first female president... I just know in Heaven she'll be so proud... I wanted to give her that.
Bill: Trump is drawing support from the nation. He's gonna be president...
Sanders: We... need you as president instead of Trump. I'll help you. I'll make you a promise. Dorothy will be Proud this November. -
Pence is official. Trump made the offer last night and he accepted.

Seriously though nobody gives a flying fuck about this except that its hilariously sad and or hilariously bizarre to have some shmuck from UFC talk about Benghazi or whatever dumb crap this incoming mess will feature. And no amount of times you use totes casual first name basis cutesy talk will convince any of us you actually give a shit either.

Dunno what all of the hostilty is about, I was just explaining to Jabberwok Dana's reasons for supporting Trump since he seemed perplexed by it. There's nothing "cutesy" about my use of the mans first name, lol. I watch a ton of UFC and that's what a overwhelming majority of fans and fighters alike call him. I seldom see anyone refer to him as "White" or "Mr.White".

But "Shillary" is a no-no. Dunno why, he takes great care of his fighters. Seems like a swell guy to me, most boxing and other mma promotors really cut corners when it comes to fighter safety and financial well-being if you aren't a top top-level competitor.

There's also the deal with the UFC gobbling up other MMA promotions under Dana's tenure which was apparently bad but most have seem to have mostly forgotten about.

That's how competition works, lol. That being said, there's still plenty of viable market options availavle to fighters besides the UFC. WSOF, Bellator, ONE FC etc

You know, while counting the Trumps earlier, I completely overlooked the fact that Pam Bondi was on that list of RNC speakers. She's the Attorney General of Florida that opted out of investigating Trump University after requesting and receiving a campaign donation from Trump.

I hear Pam Bondi and the only thing I see, is her smoldering corpse after Anderson Cooper was done with her.

Seems though that Teblow is out.
Apparently there's some miscommunication going on between Trump's campaign and who exactly was invited. Well Tebow can take solace in the fact that he wasn't cut from something do to sucking.
You take that back. You take that back right now.
What I already edited in the fact he's a washed up director too:ninja:.

He's won two Oscars for directing, the same number as Steven Spielberg, Oliver Stone, Ang Lee and Alejandro Iñárritu. This is compared to the zero that Stanley Kubrick, Quentin Tarantino, David Lynch, David Fincher and Christopher Nolan have won and the one that Martin Scorsese, Roman Polanski and Woody Allen have won.

But what has he done recently of note besides show up to the last RNC and take part in a skit that made him look crazy?
Oh and give Bradley Cooper another opportunity to get nominated for an Oscar he wouldn't win.

Hillary gave Pence a fifteen minute grace period.
Also the GOP is hitting up donors to cover a convention shortfall; so many sponsors pulled out because of Trump that they didn't meet their target. The Party of Fiscal Responsibility everyone.

So, just to recap, we have a Republican Presidential nominee the Republicans themselves don't want, who in turn has a Vice President on his ticket that HE doesn't want.
On top of that, I've yet to do any checking up on it myself, but word is Pence is an Evangelical. That alone, if true, biases my against him since this are the last people who should be in power.
-
So Trump actually did try to back out on Pence.
I had a feeling Manafort basically forced him on Il Douche.

I'm laughing my ass at the logo. It almost looks like the "T" is penetrating the "P". Get it?
