My god, where do I even begin with this chapter? It's almost like Oda heard all of our predictions following recent chapters and made them all come true. People were literally JUST discussing in the previous thread the likelihood that we'd finally see the king of Goa heading to the Reverie, and that Stelly could potentially return as well. Well, Stelly IS the king now.

Why, hello there familiar faces from Alabasta! Thrilled that Vivi and company got to come back in the very next chapter for a bit more exposition. And as expected, here comes everyone else! Wapol, Dalton, Dr. Kureha, Shirahoshi and company…AND HINA!!! <3 .....Awesome.

But the real show-stopper of this chapter was definitely Carrot. She has captured my heart almost instantaneously. She's both blood-thirsty and adorable at the same time. head pats

As good as One Piece is, and as wonderful as the Zou arc has been, this chapter had me grinning from ear to ear from beginning to end. I'm going to read it ten more times. And once the official Viz translation comes out on Monday, I'll read it 20 more times. The entire scene on the Sunny with Carrot and the others was hilarious and heart-warming at the same time.

Can't wait to see what sort of cliffhanger we're left with next week prior to Goldenweek!

She is more likely to join the mink alliance crew with other named minks she could be the cook but as saw in this chapter she only does carrot based foods pedro or pekoms would be the captain also you would have to be careful or she would bite your carrot off.

Sometimes there are even countries that have multiple KINGS let alone princes ruling different parts at the same time.
Ever heard of the United Arab Emirates?
But even going by the popular conception of what a prince is, as in "male children of a king" you can easily have more than one prince in any given kingdom by that definition, possibly dozens.

For starters the One Piece world has only one continent, otherwise it's mostly tiny islands and a few medium sized ones. Maybe one big one.
Most independent entities in One Piece would therefore be pretty damn small. Which of course ...I mean come on. Why are you attacking Oda on plausbility here when you don't really know much about the real world situation?
There's a real life independent country that is literally a few city blocks. And plenty of tiny island countries.

Another factor of the 'hundreds of princes' that wish to marry Vivi. IT doesn't have to be exactly 'hundreds'.
It can be an expression to say too many to count.
In other words, Cobra could be exaggerating. One can get a load of letters from 50-75, and be so bogged down by trying to answer them that when you talk to another person you say "I've got hundreds of letters to deal with."

MK is right, that isn't the same king of Lvneel as we saw before. That king lived during Norland's time, which was ..what? 400 years ago? This king is a descendant of the one shown before. The hairs the same because its likely a family trait but the face is different

And like I said those structures have nothing to do with the Chestnut hair thing, they're inspired by Russian church architecture. Lyneel when we saw parts of it looked like a cultural mix of Scandinavia and Russia.

Man, I see this meeting being an in-universe dynamic game changer. I think the biggest game changer will be tearing down the Warlord System after what happened in Dressrosa for a decade. I also have high hopes for Carrot, and sense she might be become a permanent party member or a guest party member. I actually see Carrot being a girl of sixteen, which if she joins the Strawhats would make her the youngest member which would unseat Chopper from that position.

Also the news of what happened to the Revolutionaries' base shows again foreshadowing that maybe Blackbeard will be the final antagonist of the series.

carrot being the cook on the future mink alliance crew would be funny since all the food would be carrot related just like in this chapter with pedro or pekoms as the captain of th mink crew like the dwarf and giant one lol.

Prove it then since every time Baltigo has been shown it has said Grand line which like i have already told you is both the first half of the grand line and the second half of the grand line it never said which part of the grand line it was in.

Blackbeard would have had a harder time going to paradise with his entire crew due to it leaving his islands he took from the whitebeards pirates open to attack plus it would take longer to get to as well than if it was not in the new world (2nd half of the grand line) blackbeard is already in the new world since that is where he rules from it did not take him very long to get there so it's most likely in the new world.

(Though it was combined with another statement about the number of countries fodderized by certain pirates, but I haven't seen much about that.)
Wonder if Luffy and Robin are going to find out about the Revolutionaries any time soon. I kind of hope the next chapter is an all-travel-related one; we haven't seen many of those in so long. This one does some of that, but a little more of it would take advantage of one of the few remaining chances for more lighthearted interactions while sailing. Even a sea battle would be nice, to satisfy some hunger for some true piratey action. (That's a little hard anyway with all the super powers, though.)

Sooo…top-left of the seventh page...the panels with the close-ups of some supposedly important faces. The same group as Mr. Clock Beard. The far left panel. At first I thought that left-most face with the slightly open mouth was the owner of that cigar, but now I'm thinking otherwise. On closer inspection, there's a thin blank bar separating the face from the cigar...the exact same bar that separates every other new character in this area.

Could the mystery person on the far left be so important that Oda only sees fit to show us the cigar for now? Is this a clue to someone we've already seen before?

People don't care about that just that you think that royal familys can only have one prince when the number of princes has no limit since the prince is not a king you can have more than one its very simple rich people can afford to have more than one kid the kids are a investment so they can marry into other royal familys.

some royal familys have over 10 kids each since they can afford them so you would only need 10 places in the world to get to 100 then lol.

Every time Oda has drawn a simplified map of the world it's only bothered to show the Red Line.
Some of the globes we've seen, namely this one, definitely show some really big islands? But at most we're talking Australia looking things at best. Which is sort of debateably a continent in the first place, and definitely a super small one. So maybe a couple Australias and Greenlands sitting around.

If you think there's any Eurasia/Africa/Americas sized continents on the OP globe aside from Red Line you're kidding yourself. Oda would have bothered to draw such a thing, and that one globe depicts absolutely nothing of the sort.

How does it make no sense? Oda has clearly drawn on multiple occasions that a simplified map of the OP world has the Red Line and ocean (part of which is the Grand Line).
More detailed maps have shown at best a couple really big islands, but otherwise mostly vast stretches of ocean dominate the OP earth wherein we have all our little islands we've spent virtually the whole series on.

Um, the Grand Line is shown to be pretty skinny compared to the four Blues. There's no way an Australia-sized land mass would fit there. Alabasta was definitely not that big.

They went around the whole Island, by foot, in a matter of days. And it's the largest island we saw in the entire series.

A pacing speed is like 2-3 km/h, so Alabasta is like, what, 100km in diameter at most? and I'm being generous here. That's nothing.
The reason why they get to places so fast, is because all those places are islands, and the world is littered by them.

That's kind of the miracle of using multiple pieces of evidence, they compliment one another.
Also "one map" from SBS is not what I posted. I posted the map from SBS, the little globe that showed up with Nami, and this thing here which isn't a simplified anything but an actual globe used in the series.

That was calculated using some harebrained nonsense as I recall. Something about the Sandora's width surely meaning it was gigantic. But 30 miles or so across is maybe…a bit farther than the distance from my state to Long Island at the biggest width. Which really doesn't suggest something all that big, like a small country size like Bosnia or something.

It's actually bigger than what you're saying loll. It's about 30 miles across, which is like 50 km.

But then we started gaining crew members who had been in the Grand Line for years, or who had even lived their entire lives there. You're perhaps overly obsessed with the sacredness of the thing.

Also this is Robin we're talking about. She's always sort of been the member of the crew who seemed to have been around the block before and knew tons of stuff casually about the Paradise half. So is it really breaking anything to have her experienced a bit in the New World?

Even Sabo need one week to arrive on Baltigo from Dresrossa thats why i think Baltigo is on Paradise. Theres no way BB arrive on Baltigo in one days since Burgess call.
My logic is Dragon destroyed his HQ because he know BB will coming.

It would be too convinient if half of his crew got from Dresrosa to Baltigo in less then a day, same as BB from whatever his location is. It must of been like half a day at most if in a day the news is already around the world.

Maybe they found Burgess and left to make sure he didn't call someone and tell them about Baltigo. They left their base in ruins to hide evidence.

He was offered a promotion and he told them to stick it. Only after Skypia (I think?) we get a new info box with his rank being commodore. It's not like all of their promotions to that point were simultaneous, someone had to go up first, and she was introduced as his equal, so him getting a promotion first doesn't mean she would stay one below for two years.
The way I see it, it's more about Smoker actively trying to gain ranks, and getting himself into G5 in the NW where all the fighting is, while Hina stayed in the Alabasta region.

He was given the promotion and the title of hero Alabasta. Him throwing a tantrum didn't chnage that.
Ever since Hina was intrduced she is always one rank below and this hold true even at the war. So her being a rear admiral while Smoker is VA is just continuing the trend that was there from the beginnig rather than her falling behind.

I'm not sure that's how he operates. They seem to focus on the small people, letting them decide their own fate. Goig to probably the most protected place in the world and fighting kings and WG (he wouldn't be able to avoid the fight) might actually bite him in the ass in the long term. Some people love WG and love their kings.

Really hope Oda doesn't take this route because it would most likely be another of those events that happen mostly off panel.

I'm finally doing another post.

It's refreshing to see some classic characters return alongside some new ones. That clockbeard is pretty cool.

Reverie is finally coming into view and there's going to be big bombshells revealed.
Some Issues will probably be:
1)Luffy(Obviously some kingdoms support Luffy, which will create division)
2) Revolutionaries
3)Cobra asking questions
4)The Yonkou

Now it's time to talk about Carrot, Pedro, and Pekoms.

Pedro doing Jaguar things, of course.
Pekom's backstabbing Luffy and Company is highly likely.

I feel like Oda just foreshadowed future development for Carrot. She's been told twice that this situation isn't a game and she's still naive about it. I think she is going to learn a hard lesson during Whole Cake Island. Is she crewmate material? I don't know, but she definitely is a hoot.

What are the Revolutionaries up to, I wonder?

Well this reverie will probably not be off panel after the revelations in this chapter. One can see a lot of important plot point will be discussed there. Also Dragon was the topic of the former reverie so it could be nice that he takes action at this one
