Pretty sure "Vearth" refers more to outright soil than rocks.

You don't really get world building if you think "all told by" and "shown" are what counts.
A successful fantasy world breathes even where you can't see it. It's so vivid we can imagine a whole world functioning off screen and elsewhere then where events are going on. And in many cases Oda will mention islands and other elements that we never see, all to make the world seem even more real and large. Explicitely not showing everything is part of this strategy. So our imaginations vaguely filling in gaps and unseen portions of the world is how a story like One Piece is by design.
Something as simple as imagining Vivi probably has cousins somewhere or other is hardly a strain of the system lol.

Honestly, I think both of what you guys said combined is a pretty good description of the similarities and differences between Crocodile and Doflamingo in general.
There are a lot of parallels between them: Warlords of the Sea who looked, dressed, and acted like Mafia bosses; did quite a few cruel and evil things just to be petty and/or assholes; hated the World Government; had a very strong, shadowy, loyal group of underlings working for them (Baroque Works/Donquixote Family); were bad bosses to the lower mooks in the organization and didn't care about disposing of them; had a goal of taking over and ruling a country through manipulation and deceit of both the citizens and the royal family; and their plan also involved blackmailing the World Government/World Nobles (Crocodile would have used Pluton for blackmail if he'd found it, and Doflamingo used the World Nobles' treasure for blackmail to become a Warlord of the Sea and for other favors like tricking the Straw Hats at the start of Dressrosa). They were also easily the most difficult and dangerous opponents Luffy had fought so far on each of their respective seas (Crocodile for Paradise, Doflamingo for New World), and ultimately lost as a result of underestimating him.
At the same time, they're different in key ways, too: Crocodile underestimated Luffy and co. from the beginning, while Doflamingo initially tried to avoid doing so (which is pretty much shown in those pictures). Doflamingo succeeded where Crocodile failed in taking over the country, since Doflamingo started his plan sooner, succeeded more quickly, and fought Luffy at a later point. Doflamingo's inner circle of executives and officers considered themselves family with Doffy, while Baroque Works didn't even know who they were working for until the end. Doflamingo did at least somewhat genuinely care for said inner circle (even if it was in a self-centered, superficial way) and forgave them for their mistakes, while Crocodile was even willing to get rid of upper Baroque Works officers who failed at their duties. Crocodile was implied to have been like Luffy when he was younger and only became jaded and evil thanks to the world's harshness, while Doflamingo was never like Luffy and was evil from the start.

what i also really liked about those panels is, that they exactly show what you two just commented, that allthough they seem identical, they are also the exact opposite of each other if you put luffy in focus,
instead of the whole situation.
they start with the exact same panel-layout and the same lines.
then they both doubt the report they got, but crocodile does this wrongly and dolfa rightly,
so its on the one hand the same reaction, but on the other hand the opposite, concerning luffys involvment, respectively the real course of events.

Royal extended family rarely live together bro. Like maybe she has an uncle who's duke of whatever. It's not like they all hang out together and have barbeques or whatever you folks do in Alsace on the weekend.

It's not really realism. It's both plausibility, and part of how legit and three-dimensioned Oda's world is. You can easily imagine outside the panels, it's encouraged, it's part of the point. Not to make really important random theories effecting the plot, just to feel immersed in a real fantasy world.

Frozen is a small self-contained little story that is riffing off the real world (taking place in NotNorway).
One Piece is an expansive vast fantasy world full to brim with lush detail that exists only to be awesome scenery and flavor.
You should be comparing OP to Lord of the Rings or Star Wars, not rando Disney movies and fairy tales.

The series is full of details that are never fully explored, but only hinted at or assumed. THat's one of it's strengths. Like the lightning island in the new world that Urogue visited. Or the gravity thing that sucked up Capone. That's probably all we're ever going to see of those places…. but it grows the world, leaves more to your imagination.
Same goes with assuming people have extended family, even if they aren't shown or mentioned much. It matters to the plot if the princess has a sister or aunt for royal line reasons sure. But it doesn't matter so much if its not a direct line to the throne, so its exess information that doesn't need to explicitly be told.
For instance, and both of these facts are true.
1-I have a sister. But I never talk about her, because different fathers and she's lived with her dad my entire life, I hardly know her. So its not relevant to my daily life and never comes up in anything
2-My mother comes from England and if you trace things back far enough, has some sort of extremely loose relation to Queen Victoria. But even that was a whole bunch of steps removed, and in the 200 years since Victoria's time, so that I'm so far removed from the line that it might as well be an imaginary fact, it has no bearing on anything and never will. But Victoria still had lots of relatives, who over generations spread out to be thousands, and then hundreds of thousands, getting more and more distant.
So, unless the family is very, VERY specifically only breeding with other royalty and only having one or two children a generation, you're not going to whittle things down to the last two at all. Even if each royal only has two children, and then they have two children, and then so on, you're still talking 2,000+ decendants in ten generations (or roughly 200 years). Even if you assume some of those only have one child, or none, that's balanced out by others having three or four. ANd when you get 20 generations (400 years) deep? In the millions. And then after 1,000 years? So far removed from the main line that it doesn't count for squat... but the bloodline is going to endure. The very specific royal head of it, of three or four specific figures may die, and if someone is really trying to eliminate the royals might get their siblings and first cousins and those most closely related... but they're going to have family, aunts, uncles, cousins... even if they aren't relevant to the plot, any family by default is just going to have some brances.
Now, world nobles like Charlos might be an exception, it looks like there's inbreeding going on there, and the bubbles and refusal to mix with commoners and all. THat family line might be thing.

The anime didn't 'correct it', they censored it. I figured it wasn't a stone of verth but a chunk of whatever they use to construct their buildings. So wasn't like a thrown rock but more like a piece of brick. Which is why it got censored, ya know a lil kid throwing a brick they didn't want to show that, better a veggie

It is coincidence, and yes as I said its a classic expression for Kokoro, so it does date back to Water 7 arc. Just look below. That recent cover is almost identical to an image dating from the arc

That would be a pretty cool connection. Similar to Kuro using Shave long before we met CP9 only he couldn't control it like they did.
Even if these claw weapons have no intended connection, Oda could easily add it into the story without it feeling forced. People travel all over the world and bring back ideas and/or tools that inspire similar things that are adopted in other cultures.

Enel is the best thing that ever happened to Skypiea. After 400 years of war between Skypieans and the Shandia over some unnaturally located dirt, Enel usurped the Island in the sky, exiled the incompetent former ruler (all he did was drink pumpkin juice and fail at finding a truce). He was there, 6 years, building up a reputation as a fearsome and vengeful god until he decides to leave. So hebecame the comon foe of everyone, destroys all island clouds and leaves. Now the Skypieans and Shandia got rid of their comon foe and are forced to live together on the holy ground both people longed for centuries.
If Enel never happened, there would never be peace between both tribes.
Enel will become a legend in the history books on stories of the sky people.
SH would still go there and look for that bell. Unhindered by Enel's side.

Sorry if this has been mentioned, but I got to thinking: If Cavendish turns into Hakuba when he sleeps, and Hakuba kills everyone indiscriminately, how does he even have a crew? How has Hakuba not killed them all yet? Yeah, they could probably chain him up when he's sleeping, but seeing how Hakuba took over midday in mid-battle in Dressrosa multiple times, you'd have to think that he would have unexpectedly transformed before they could stop him at least once, and killed everybody.

Yes, but with someone who can theoretically move at the speed of light, the only way to land a hit is to catch him off guard, or with a trap. And one hit from him- and you're done. A kick like that should pass through an opponent like butter. Far harder than what it takes to defeat the other admirals- including Sakazuki. You should pretty much be able to have a one-sided battle against an admiral.

So basically just because Luffy and Zoro were hungry and started fishing in the deep sea shortly after the SHs left Fishman Island Luffy is closer to Raftel now as everyone imagined. The unlikeliness of finding this particular person, the Kouzuki heir, on that time and place is staggering.
Just wanted to point that out because it's silly and awesome at the same time. Feels really Odaish.
I find it kind of amusing how BigMum and Kaidou are each so introduced that they will let a member of the monster trio(Sanji or Zoro) shine.
Big Mum will be all about Sanji (year of Sanji), having him there in the trouble.
Also she is a glutton on a cake island and he is a chef.
Sanji will be the key player for Luffy to overcome Big Mum in the end. (may guess so far would be defeating her by being able to capture a map of the road poneglyph and rescueing Sanji, while making a havoc there)
On the other hand we have Kaidou, the main antagonist of Wanu Kuni.
Perfect place to shine for Zoro with all those samurai and Kaidou will be the best to overcome.
It wouldn´t surprise me when Zoro is left on Zou against Jack and will be the one creating the way for Luffy later on Wano. (but the first 1 billion guy not vs. Luffy…damn)
I just noticed that sun(probably a moon) on Franky's shirt also appears on the crest from Wano. I wonder if Kinemon made that clothing for Franky back at Dressrosa?
