I've quite enjoyed the debate about the 1080 years cicle phenomena.

I've been sigged.
….............
I... have no idea how to respond to this.
It's ok, it was just a premonition, but it wasn't really you. I was actually sensing Skull KnightLion Zephos.
Just started re-reading the series from volume 18.
Whats everyones opinion on the elemental lords that Schierke summons to protect that church from the trolls?
I'm kind of curious to see what role they're going to play in the story later on.

RICKERT!!! O.O
! Got some real balls to slap the leader of the (not-so) free world. Major props
! "So I killed Corkus. Who gives a shit, it was Corkus."
! Griffith probably let Rickert do that. But that doesn't change the incredibly awesome fact that SOMEONE finally managed to strike Griffith since his ascension. Even better yet, it was Rickert, the token child soldier and Griffith fanboy, of all people. Magnficent. I'm finding myself liking Rickert a lot more than before.
! welp, RIP Rickert

I've got an appropriate soundtrack for his act.
Thank you
! based Rickert
, thank you.
! Rickert: The leader of the band of the falcon isn't the Falcon of Light.
! Rickert, you are awesome.
! LOL at Griffith being bitchslapped.
! Its a good thing I dont take Berserk seriously anymore. Good laugh Miura, good laugh.

! You're probably really confused and forgetful if you think this is a joke or something
the falcon
I will never get used to the translations switching over to Falcon after it was "Hawk" for so many years.
I eventually got used to Gatzu being Guts given that there's a definite reason for that name, but the Falcon/Hawk switch seems so random and arbitrary, especially after it was even in official merchandising and the anime and such.
I guess "Falconia" sound better than "Hawknia".

! Oh, I know this is supossed to be serious.
But I cant help to laugh at Rickelt slapping Griffith like a hurt lover in a cheap soap opera.

! I too am surprised at the hyper masculine character of "Rickelt" choosing a slap as his gesture of symbolic casual disrespect toward the man who massacred his friends and comrades.

! He probably knew that a slap was the most he could get away with. He's not dumb enough to try and assassinate Griffith (although I guess he probably could've punched him and gotten away with it), plus he has to protect Erica.

It's weird for me as well. I'm used to calling them band of the hawks. But since Miura finally admitted in a interview with Skullknight.net that Hawk is actually a mistranslation. It should be Falcon since he named them after the Millenium Falcon from Star Wars. So finally after all these years the translators are using the correct translation. Dark Horse is still using "Hawks" though when refering to the Band of the Hawk's for the sake of consistency.
It actually makes sense to go with Falcon now though since we've gotten canon terms like the Falcon of Light/Darkness, Millennium Falcon Arc and Falconia. It's just going to take alot of getting used to.
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
More pics here and they seem to be in order.

! Griffith says something to Rickert and he then slaps him. Griffith holds his hand up so that Locus doesn't interfere. Rickert holds up the Band crest and then does the "You're not the Falcon of Light" panel and then the chapter ends when he leaves.
! That's the closest thing we'll ever see Griffith get from a character, so I'll take it, especially considering that Griffith's demonic legion bodyguards are hanging right behind him.
! Now back to elf island please?
More complete summary from skullknight.net
! Anyway, Rickert reflects on what he's seen in Falconia, and how grand it all is compared to him. Griffith asks him if he's found the answer to the question he asked on the Hill of Swords. If he still pursues the same dream. We all know Rickert's answer. Rickert seems ready to die as he does it, too. But Griffith stops Locus and the guards.
! Rickert talks about how he couldn't go rescue Griffith with the others on that day… How he wasn't able to share their fate.
Talks about how he assumed he couldn't be angry like Guts. But that he was the one who built their graveyard on the Hill of Swords.
! Rickert asks him if he's noticed that's the the shape of the wings on the new emblem of the Band of the Falcon is a little bit different from that of the original one. Then he tells him: "I am a member of the Band of the Falcon that Griffith the White Falcon led. But that leader is/was not the Falcon of Light." His last word as he departs: "Farewell."
Reading the spoilers makes me want to go back and re-read the entire series again .

Do it.
I did it last week.
Almost as good as the first time I read the series two years ago.
Berserk 337 released by evil genius
http://www.evil-genius.us/2014/10/berserk-337-and-challenging-the-manga-dojos-2/
I'm just happy that slap happened.
So I finally dipped in and purchased all the volumes through a Rightstuf Dark Horse sale, and I must say I find some of these back flap descriptions amusing.
"If you're looking for graphic fiction to take home to Grandma, this ain't it - unless Granny smokes cigars and rides a Harley!"
Well, they certainly had a demographic in mind when they picked this series up.
Am I a grandma who smokes cigars and rides a Harley?
I have a small theory, not sure if it's been predicted already but the skull knight is Gaiseric but not in a physical body anymore. He has died but his asteral body has been placed inside that special armor maybe given to him by the mistress keeping him on earth.

Looks like it will be monthly now instead of bi-weekly. Muira averages like 7-8 chapters a year. So a monthly schedule makes more sense.

ITS BACK!!

About time it became monthly. Hopefully now it'll be released more consistently.
Predictions?
Mine is Griffith orders his men to arrest Rickert then he gets raped?

ITS BACK!!
But for how long?
Finally. .<3
But for how long?
Hopefully the hiatuses stop because monthly schedule suits Miura.
Btw are u the same Satsuki from NF?
They should have moved him to monthly years ago, instead of the asinine "stockpile a handful and then release them in 2 months then have a 5 month hiatus again" nonsense. Did the editors finally realize "Hey, having Berserk every other issue is still better than not having it for 12 issues in a row"?
I imagine he can probably actually keep that pace, but chapters might be a little shorter on occasion.
But this is definitely a good thing.
Holy shit, best news I've heard in a while! I still maintain that Berserk is the best manga I've experienced but it's hard for it to stay relevant when it's been nine months since the last chapter.
No matter how long they take though Miura always delivers. Might be time for another reread to refresh myself on the series.

So wait Berserk wasn't a monthly manga ? I was always under the impression that it was until now .
@Doffy.:

Nope. Published in a bi-weekly mag, so it'd come out in large batches and then you'd get nothing.
For a long time.

@me:
An extremely common recurring question in regards to the manga series is "What is up with the hiatuses?" Berserk often seems to come out 4 chapters at a time, and then take a multi-month break.
Miura does not take 4 month vacations and then pump out 4 chapters in 4 weeks, followed by another 4 month vacation.
Miura draws four chapters, then YA publishes those four in a row, followed by hiatus. While those chapters are running, he is already working on the next one. Miura draws on a more or less monthly schedule and is constantly working, but YA is semi-monthly (2x/month) so we get the false impression when a backlog of Berserk appears at once.
He's monthly-ish, the publication isn't.
My guess would be his last long stint built up some buffer, and with it being released monthly rather than biweekly, they won't burn through it so fast… and maybe slightly smaller page counts.
It'll probably still amount to about a volume a year.
Hopefully the hiatuses stop because monthly schedule suits Miura.

I hope so.
NF? What's NF?
NarutoForums I'm guessing?
Oh. Then no, I'm not the Satsuki from Naruto Forums. I haven't been on there since . . . . . god, 10 years now.
I wonder how much story Berserk has left. I feel that a lot of time was wasted on those annoying pirates. @Satsuki:

That's great because NF is an absolute mess.

A ton. Couple hundred chapters minimum if there's any sort of satisfying conclusion to even a majority of the stuff already in play. Depends on if any of the godhand survive or if Griffith is the only one that gets killed and… stuff. ANother 10 years minimum.
And not that much time was spent on the pirates... that was largely to showcase the new world order withotu having to deal with the full blown worldwide reprecussions.
So, about 4 more chapters (okay, okay, "episodes") for this year, then another 6+ month break? Excuse me while I don't rush out and read each chapter the moment they are translated.
I just hope we get to see that Jill is okay. Every other side character made it to Falconia.
