Bart Simpson Thread XI: The Movie - The Manga Adaption - The Animation

Speaking of which, I guess I'll rate this chapter as Yellow Flash.
Nothing horrendously stupid in it, but the art and story are still crap.
-
I don't know if I love or hate this chapter.
Its dumb….but something about a giant moth stopping the war just appeals to me.
-
Any guesses on when this series is going to end?
-
Any guesses on when this series is going to end?
Around 50 chapters from now. The war will draaaaaaag, then we'll have some Naruto/ Madara show down, then we'll have an overly drawn Naruto/ Sasuke showdown, then everything will wrap up.
-
My Level 70 RDM/SUM Mithra has entered the Chat.
LOL Natruto. I bet it ends in about 40-50 chapters.
Or at least I hope it does :( If this is not the last arc, I don't know what is.
-
Just a couple chapters ago, Chouji was a sniveling idiot, now he's gonna end the war. As a giant butterfly. I've gotta give Kishi credit for writing such a phenomenal rags to rage story.
-
What everyone doesn't know is that this is only part one of Naruto. it's the war of the summit in ninja world. Naruto will have another time skip and there will be a new hero. konohamamuru!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BELIEVE IT
-
Don't even joke about that.
Bleach already pulled that gag.
-
I haven't actually read the manga since the "Great Ninja Zombie War" started, but judging from the responses here…
Yeah.
Time to take Old Yeller out back...
Yeah, the last time I read it I think the Zabuza and Haku zombies were fighting were fighting someone.
How long ago was that?
I'll probably catch up this weekend at some point, especially if the series is coming to an end.

Whoa, seriously?
Tell me Kishi isn't ripping off Kubo.
Why is it that knowing this makes me want to catch up just so I can facepalm when it happens?

oh lawd. it makes me laugh with deep deep sadness. :[

Aww, I missed the end of the old Naruto thread.
-
I still don't understand how this series is ending. I mean, I'm not that familiar with Part II, but it seems that Naruto has made NO progress towards becoming Hokage.
P.S. I'm aware that Naruto is bad and that Kishi is bad. But still.
-
It doesn't need buildup or anything. It'll just happen.
-
Unless Naruto and Sasuke die in each other's arms, which I almost see happening.
-
I would agree that this chapter wasn't half bad. But it still feels like it could be better. I mean wasn't butterfly mode supposed to make you so strong you didn't need to grow for the power. Let's not even get into how him going butterfly really doesn't make any sense. So why did Choji grow? By that I mean it would've been cooler if Choji had punched Asuma into a mountain causing it to be destroyed along with the surrounding area with the force of an explosion just like with the Jirobo fight. But I would imagine that would require effort on Kishi's part to draw something like that. I mean who would want to try to draw good art in your final battle of your long running extremely popular series, that's just ridiculous. I'm sorry it just seems it would be easier to draw Choji becoming a giant and punching then having him destroy the landscape at normal size like in the Jirobo fight. Kishi just doesn't care anymore. Although I guess the simple answer to this would be he doesn't want to harm Asuma but Asuma's dead so why should Choji care, I mean he's over harming his former mentor because he's realized it doesn't matter if you harm a corpse. I just felt that while Choji was somewhat cool this chapter he could have been much more impressive.
Overall the Asuma fight was a bit disappointing considering what could be done. Just like with Haku and Zabuza. All in all it feels like Kishi is resolving everything too quickly or just not in a satisfying way. Once again he doesn't care anymore, I really feel that way I'm not just saying that. I used to not really believe the whole "Kishi doesn't care anymore" belief but then I saw the art in some of these chapters and I finally realized that he's burn out and doesn't care anymore. If he refuses to try, I refuse to care. That's my motto for current Naruto chapters.
-
ending of nay-roo-to
! - Sasuke is redeemed via sin-cleansing ritual that involves eloping in a shitty koi pond
- Madara loses by tripping on a bug
- Naruto becomes Hokage thanks to destiny saying so, hard work be damned
- That random blue-haired girl with the white eyes is killed offscreen by a sammich-making accident
- The zombies? TALKED TO A HIGHER PLANE OF EXISTENCE
- The side characters? FUCK 'EM
- Raikage? See Raoh's death
- Killer Bee? Bullsquid gets extracted; he dies and is never mentioned again
-

These recent chapters is basically Kishi knowing he can't cut it anymore, and is trying to bring stuff back from Part I to get people back in and failing at it.
-
Kakashi vs Swordsmen was forgotten along with Onoki preparing to fight against Second Tsuchikage and Raikage forced to sit on a chair only giving orders instead of kicking the shit out of all the zombies. This is so sad…

Dear God. That is horrible. And some of it I honestly see happening, sadly enough. In fact all of it could happen. That's my biggest problem with Naruto, honestly. I have no idea what Kishi will do next. I used to think I knew what to expect from him and he wouldn't do anything extremely stupid. Then Pain brought everyone back to life and I believed Kishi wouldn't do that because that would be the stupidest thing ever. If he did it. Which he did. After that I completely lost all faith in the man knowing what he is doing. If this were Part 1 or even the early part 2, I would laugh at the idea of Kishi offscreening the 7 Swordsman or bringing Jiraiya back. There's no way he'd do something that stupid. But after Pain's resurrection there is no limit to the man's stupidity.
And that's the saddest part of Naruto for me. Anything can happen, and not in a good way.
So everything Cyan said is possible, some more so than others. Purposely bad theories that weren't meant to be taken seriously are concievable to be canon. We were actually joking about that moon thing and it came true. Although the Madara dying by a bug thing I highly doubt would happen, but it's very possible he'll die in a lame way since he's a lame villain as it is. -

Actually, the end of the Pain arc showed that he is officially the strongest person in the village and that everyone instantly loves him, despite having no onscreen build up.

But… but... I didn't think they knew about his past before then did they?
I stopped reading Naruto during the Orochimaru fight after the Chunin exam, but I know the gist of what happens after (I plan on reading from the beginning this summer as after I stopped reading (for One Piece I might add) he picked it up).

Don't worry about those years of prejudice, Naruto, we really never meant it. And the attempting stoning? Just a joke, man!

Don't bother. It just gets worse from there.
-
Am I The only one that doesn't remember what Orochimaru was planning to do? Like, did he have a plan or something besides turning young teenagers into disgusting monsters?
-
he wanted to take over sasuke's body as his new vessel after helping him acheive a certain level of his potential.
unfortunately for oro, sasuke got too strong too quickly and oro was the one who got absorbed. -
Team asuma's side story wrapped up. Next.

-
Hmm, does anyone else think the zombies are kinda metaphorical for how Kishi is resurrecting these old completed character storylines that didn't need any continuation or resolution just so he can stall for time?
-
Hm, I guess he didn't make enough bad guys…
-
@Sonic:

It's not that he didn't make enough. It's that he just killed them all off and then BAM! final arc.
-
"From 20th Century Fox
And the director of DB: Evolution…
Justin Bieber as Naruto Usmak (lewl)
Zac Effron as Samuel Uchiha
'Naruto World'"
Who will play Gary Sandstorm?
-
wow so there is even a sealing squad now… talk about convenient stuff... now they can walk around sealing all the zombies easily... this war is way to easy for the united nation side... its getting annoying
-
Don't bother. It just gets worse from there.
But I want to. You can't make fun of it if you haven't read it (which is why I subjected myself to Bleach and Twilight).

I certainly agree with you but seeing bad mangas or movies is a way to enlarge your vision and your standards.
I think Oda must be learning a lot from Kishi's current epic fail. -
Hey, anyone else remember how Kakashi was about to fight Zabuza, like 10 chapters ago, and everybody was pumped for the next chapter to see it go down? Kishi doesn't.
-
I stand by my previous comment, when that happened: we will cut to Kakahi, returning from battle after having defeated the 7 swordsmen off-panel. They'll ask him how the fight went. "Fucking boring", he'll reply.

Well seeing how Kishi is trying to finish the secondary characters' side stories quickly, i can say he'll give one or two chapter where he uses his white chakra and stops relying completely to the sharingan.
But teah what you said has higher chance to happen

So how does Chouji plan to end the war?
1. Take the head off the snake and go for Madara or Kabuchimaru himself?
or
2. Enlarge himself and fart evacuating the entire area?
–----------------------------------------------------
Ok seriosuly though, Chouji is also taking Shikamaru and Ino along with him in this plan of his so we'll see more of the team. While they're growing up quick I still think they're naive in believing they alone can stop any of this. They should just be satisfied with doing their part in pushing back and hopefully defeating the enemy.

The Outerspec Rangers will be summoned.

Dammit Kaze! -_- Talk about Naruto!

Choji thinks he's Shanks.
Haw!

I said summoned, isn't that close enough?

Ohhh, lol. Yeah, Kuchiyose no Jutsu. The rangers will end the war and fortunately…I guess...they're ever multiplying. No matter what the resistance of the original ranger. >_>

lol, I really hated that episode, the road runner/rockersurfer-no-jutsu was just awful.
On topic: I recently asked this on another forum, but what exactly is stopping Madara from taking KB? I mean, I understand with Naruto he has something planned for him (That and he can't take the 9 tails without taking the 8 tails, or Gedo Mazo will be destroyed), but what is preventing him from taking KB?
Think about it:
-
Madara was able to find out when Kushina is gonna give birth, found out where Kushina was at, took out the guards and was able to get Kushina away from Minato and summon the kyubi.
-
Madara was also able to control the Mizukage through his sharingan while in the shadows.
If Madara is capable of stuff like this, what is stoppiong him from taking KB? Couldn't he sneak up and warp KB away to his own dimension and keep him there, and then go back to HQ and suck out the 8 tailed ox?
