100 episodes would be worth 2-3 arcs.
Toei has to be smart have Bardock finally meet Goku, for Bardock it would be a huge moment seeing his son again and how strong he has gotten.

The source for that "news", though, is this fansite where the guy goes on a baseless and stupid rambling wishing for god-Broly or something.
I swear, these Broly fanboys are the worst. Toriyama can forget even characters he comes up with, how would he remember Broly exists?
Not even Toei would want to bring him back, after his creator was so butthurt by Battle of Gods and Beerus.
First pic of Goku from the Super manga:

! Looks too young and skinny to me and I don't really like the boots. I like that his shirt is longer like at the end of Z, though.
! And since this is for the manga and not the anime, I'm also not a fan of the digital coloring. I'd have preferred something more akin to Toriyama's DB cover coloring.
! Also, I think that symbol confirms it takes place after at least Battle of Gods. I recall seeing it in a trailer for RoF.
That's exactly the same design that he has in the last movie.
That's just a recycled promo shot from the Resurrection F manga. There's no guarantee that he'll still be wearing that outfit in Super.
It looks like a shark bit off a chunk of his left arm.

At a guess, the arm originally covered too much of the symbol and there was a half-assed redraw to "fix" it.

Oh. I didn't know that. Sorry for the mistake.

Before posting things like that look that the image is taken from the Movie Manga. The sources are WRONG.
On the subject of checking before posting, you should probably check the replies to my post and see that someone already told me and I apologized.

Interesting? Has he ever talked about doing more of the anime outside of the usual video games? And if they are 12 universes, does Broly exist in one? Not saying this cause "Broly is best pony." But if they were to retcon his Origin story and pull a Dragon ball Multiverse will akira toriyama try something as desperate as possible? Probably not. LOL
July? That soon? Crazy.
What I find strange is that Kazuhiko Torishima looks nothing like Mashirito. I wonder if there are some older pictures showing more of a resemblance, but I couldn't find anything.
seeing as kai only has like 2 episodes left it makes sense. There will be one week of no dragon ball (unless they stretch the last episodes) and then bam, new series
It's right after 4th of July. That'll be a fun weekend for me.
I hope this means Gohan will be relevant again.

Based on what? The voice actor returning? lol

The facial resemblance is uncanny. It's just that he changed his hairstyle after the ’80s.

I didn't, or plan to, see it lol
I don't like that Goten and Trunks still look like they did in the Buu saga. One thing I always liked about DB is that you got to see characters grow and change and yet here we are with Goten and Trunks stuck as 7 and 8 year olds.

This has been bothering me as well. They shouldn't look or act 7 or 8 still. In BoG they were being treated like small kids as well. They're 13 and 14 by the time FnF takes place. This is clearly inconsistent since Future Trunks grew normally, was much bigger, and looked like a regular teenager when he was also 14.
Yeah I wanted to see an older Goten and Trunks too, that was one of the things I was looking forward to the most
In reality, this is pretty consistent with Jaco's saiyan race description, where he says they have a prolonged youth and then they suddenly came adult, as happened with Goku.

This only happens to those who are full-blooded. Goten and trunks are half human. This doesn't apply to them. As I mentioned earlier, Future Trunks looked like a regular teenager when he was the same age as current Trunks. Gohan and Future Trunks grew like regular humans. This is clearly a fuck up like with Marron. She was still a toddler in BoG even though she was 7 years old.
Hell, 10 year old Gohan looked older than they do.

If I well understood DBSuper Trunks is 13 years old, while Future Trunks was 14teen, so this would explain the gap as they mature between the 13 and 14 years. Also, we don't know if this apply only for full-blooded saiyan. Question, how old was Gohan when he fought Cell?
Should be 10.
He was 4 at the beginning of DBZ, trained for a year and turned 5. Goku was off-world for another year making him 6. They then trained for 3 years making him 9. Adding the year from the Time Chamber brings him to 10. Which is kind of funny, since that Gohan is generally called Teen Gohan.
lol what's up with hipster Goku?
Goku was 12 when Dragonball started and he was pretty damn squatty… and despite the several years that passed in the early part of the series, still looked the same when he beat Piccollo Sr. and he was 16 or so. It wasn't till somewhere between there and 19 he had his growth spurt.
Yeah, it varies if you throw in half humans or whatever, and Gohan had a much more deliberate and visible growth rate (but also a much more brutal childhood of training), and obviously the production has a history of doing badly in keeping ages straight of characters between the Buu arc and the epilogue (Marron, Pan and Bra especially) but its pretty much fine for Goten and Trunks to be more or less the same.
As is I don't think Future Trunks story (and the death of Gohan) really synch up until around the point the new series should be anyway, and it covers a pretty good chunk of time.
Also, we have absolutely no idea how this new series is going to work, given that even if they ignore GT entirely (with it being set what, 7 years later?) they're still at least a little bound by the manga's epilogue and meeting up with Uub. Long as Pan is 4 by that point and Goten and Trunks look like they did there at that point, its not much of an issue..

Goku actually did have a (really) small growth spurt between the Red Ribbon Army arc and Piccolo arc. The characters even mentioned it.
It would've been nice if at least Goten had his epilogue hair or something. Just something to show some changes in them.
Surely it would mean more toys for these characters and more money for Toei and co.?

Dragon ball Super is supposed to take place after FnF which means that Trunks is 14 at least. BoG was nearly 5 years after Boo which would have made Trunks around the age of 13 then. FnF takes place 1 year after BoG made trunks around the age of 14. We do know this doesn't apply to the half breeds since Gohan and Future Trunks clearly contradicted the notion. Gohan was 9 years old, but physically 10 or 11( I can't remember how long he was in The Room of Spirit and Time). The problem I have is that they refuse to change them even a little bit. I seriously think that production thinks they're still 7 and 8 since everyone treated them that way in BoG. I just hope that this is a flashback or something and they'd gradually progress towards wherever the series is supposed to be.
Yeah, gotta admit that Goten and Trunks not visibly aging at all has been bugging me considering Gohan seems to have grown normally and looks older than them at age 9. I don't know if this is just a matter of not having any other young children to market at this point in the story or plain forgetfulness.
I do like seeing that Gokuh is wearing the same farmer's outfit from the Tarble special meaning maybe, somehow he is actually making good on his promise to do real work? That would be pretty impressive.
Why is Goku's right arm posed in such a weird position and nope don't care how they style it Krillin still looks weird with hair.
Fat Beerus and girl Whis?
Hrm. If they're really gonna go the alternate universes route, makes you wonder why they went to such absurd lengths to bring Frieza back, when we coulda just gotten alt Frieza.
If they go with the alternate universe route, i hope to not see an "evil goku" saga or something like that.

Why go with evil Goku when you can go with Evil Vegetto instead?
