So I managed to beat Snowhead in last night…here I felt a little more pressure, because even though I did this dungeon before, it took me over a day and a half on inverted time to clear it. Felt great to get all the fairies in one go, in the N64 version, I didn't do that!
....not so great to forget the bring the fairies back before going back in time, forcing me to gather them again....
anyways, the Goht fight. Ramming the heck out of it is still as fun as ever, but now I certainly see where the disappointment lies. You gotta take off the mask quickly and fire the arrows at the eye, whereas in the original, you could stay Goron and still punch it when it was down.
Now...with the touch screen fluidity in item control and me just using the Bunny Hood in general, I did it fast enough to still maintain some of the momentum, but again, I totally get it.
other adventures include:
-getting the powder keg
-clearing the Goron Races (holy cow, I won on the first try, the two guys ahead of me bumped into each other, took me like 20 tries in the original)
-saving the ranch and getting Epona
-protecting the milk and getting Romani's Mask
-getting the Glided Sword (YES)
-obtaining the Zora mask
I played around a bit in the water.....hmmm, this is definitely going to take time getting used to. Might annoy me more than constantly hitting my head in Great Bay, but who knows. I assume the irritating fish skeletons drop more magic then?
Next time I'll get the hookshot and Giant's Wallet, maybe finally figure out the Rosa sisters sidequest.
And another thought I had, this time on a certain pairing...

I personally find the tale of Mikau and Lulu to be really heartbreaking
Because even though you can rescue all of her eggs and get her voice back, Mikau…implied to be her lover....dies either way. Each time you go back, he's doomed to die each time.
Granted I didn't complete Anju and Kafei, and I know their reunion scene can tug at the heartstrings too - as well as the immediate undoing of their love when you reset time - but at least Kafei doesn't die! At least you can give him a happy ending.
Mikau, you can't. Same with Darmani or the Deku Butler's son.
....I dunno, maybe it's just the Song of Healing playing during the flashback that makes it all the more poignant. ;_;[/hide]
