@zeff:
Urouge has the D. as well as CoC
No offense, but Urouge bearing the "D" initial, and having the ability to get larger, sounds disgusting to me.

Especially considering he only seems to be able to use his powers if he gets slapped around first.
Mad Monk? More like Mental Masochist.

Now, that explains a lot…..... xD
I'm really curious about the whole "first Corazon", "second Corazon" thing. Is it a code name? I guess it makes sense since all the names are pretty weird and Baby 5 and Buffalo were asking Law about real names and stuff.
I love how this flashback is probably setting up for more twists and turns in the battles.
Still awaiting Robin's fight.

Indeed it does!
You really don't want to know what the stone pillar is for though.:ninja:
D and Coc. What are you insinuating? :ninja:
Was he talking about Law's White Monster? :ninja:
Why does Kidd have to be a D ?
Being a D does in no way put you above or so I thought?
Whitebeard, the Admirals, so for we have 5 admirals non D's, Big mom, Shanks. You don't have to be a D to reach the top.
Actually furthermore, it seems that jaguar D , portgas D, Waterlaw D. were nothing special

Yeah, the top executives all have code names, namely the 4 suits in a game of cards (in spanish).
Diamante - Diamond
Trebol - Clover
Pica - Pike
Corazon - Heart
This fits in with Doffy's alias of "Joker".

It was just a joke because Luffy, Law and Kid are the 3 most prominent members of the eleven supernovas and 2 of them are D's.
Indeed it does!

Tut tut, Hero, you're so vulgar.
…but also spot on.
That's the key, sometimes vulgarity is humorous, if used correctly. With great power, comes great responsibility.
@Light:
Then why was he shown having a commander rank?
he was probably a marine ,but in the past, since he himself said that he is not a marine and he was able to leave the surveillance of the family without any advice or permit from sengoku..if he was on a official mission, "personal reasons" wouldn't be enough to leave the position and go around the world with a kid.
Regarding Dofla's call, he could've assumed that Cora-san will write and Law will read it out loud.
While I've really enjoy this flashback so far, I can't say I liked the brevity of the exposition of Law and Corazon's relationship; it was too short, to say the least, to fully elucidate Law's fixation towards Corazon. In my eyes, Oda could've used a chapter or two to fully develop their relation. Aside from that one minor complaint, and I don't mean to be banal, but this flashback has been the best thing to happen in One Piece since the timeskip, hands down.
What is written on the sail of Tsuru's ship in the chapter?

They spent 6 months together. Not everything needs to be shown and I'm thankful to Oda for that. And the flashback is not even over yet.

Tsuru.

So am I the only one who finds this kinda hilarious?
My telescope is in the basement.
EDIT: Finally opened. Yeah, didn't take note of that, but it's a funny detail. Like how Oda jokes around with family similarities like that.
I completely forgot we had a chapter this week!!
Was pretty good, this flashback is getting interesting I love the double undercover agent situation. I'm surprised Cora wasn't told vergo was going undercover, doflamingo would never think he would tell someone. But ope ope no mi probably just got into the hands of doffy. Next two chapters should be very interesting and hopefully we'll be ba k to dressrosa for the finale.

Oh my those are some horrible puns… and insinuations. I'm not really good there but I hear Usopp's got a nose for it

Censorship makes anything vulgar, good reference, lol.
really hoping Kidd isn't a D just because he definitely wasn't revealed as one when we first met him and that pretty much means he's been keeping it secret. that would be just a repeat of the Law situation, probably with a flashback to boot where Kidd gets egged into revealing his full name "my name is Eustass D William Kid, but that's a secret okay!!" pretty lame if u ask me. Oda would have to have a pretty good reason to have Kidd keep that a secret, especially given his personality.
though I will admit that Kidd has always struck me as much more of a D than Law. just based off the trend w/r/t personality traits at least.. though I guess we've yet to see Dragon be goofy, so he's closer in character to Law. I'm still banking on Dragon being a very dumb and stubborn narcolept, though just as much a motivated and highly compassionate politician
I was expecting they cross with Kureha in this chapter.
If Kid was a D than I can imagine he would've been loud and proud of being one if he knew what it means now . I just don't want him to be revealed as one.
I have a feeling that Kid has had a bad encounter with a Celestial Dragon before Saboady and I'm still hoping that Kid's past is going to be revealed. Nothing to dramatic, just something that'll explain why He's like that.
Law still isn't my favorite character in the manga, but I've started to change my opinion of him.
nice guy rocinante… boring df though!
I hope Luffy one punches Kidd
nice guy rocinante… boring df though!
Better use the boring DFs on a dead guy that we only get to see in a flashback, rather then some important and present character in the story.
A funny thing I've noticed about flashbacks is that Luffy almost never actually hears the flashback, haha.

true… still kinda lame :P

Which brings the question, when this flashback is over, will Luffy be laying on the floor sleeping?
I have to join the bandwagon. This flashback is the best thing Oda has done since the timeskip, easily. I was starting to think that Oda's recent attempts at emotional weight and sad flashbacks weren't up to his pre-skip standards, but this? This is classic One Piece, the one I fell for.
Rosinante is Hiluluk tier.
Law has gained much much much greater depth than before.
The context of Doflamingo's childhood has made him into the most developed villain so far.
The entirety of Dressrosa was worth this single flashback.
Which brings the question, when this flashback is over, will Luffy be laying on the floor sleeping?
I don't think so. This flashback isn't being told by anybody else, and seems to just be inside Law's head (with some secondary flashbacks from Doflamingo since it's Oda telling the story, along with a few things that Law wasn't around for). The previous times that he fell asleep were when Nojiko was telling the crew about Nami, and when Jinbe was telling the crew about Otohime and Tiger.
Oda's been on a roll these past few weeks and I feel like the flashback is the best part of this arc till now. I'm digging Rosinante and I kind of feel pity that he'll be killed.
Also, this info about the D, gives me Gray-man feels. Certainly with the 'fated clan' and 'enemy of the gods' thingy, it sounds a lot like the Noah's there.
I was expecting they cross with Kureha in this chapter.
My heart raced when I saw them going through snow. Pity.
nice guy rocinante… boring df though!
It could still have applications in battle. Maybe he can control the sound to an extent and create soundwaves to attack with.
Nice nick. I started watching OP on RTL 2 almost 15 years ago and thought Lorenor was his real name for quite a while.
Rosinante has the nagi nagi no mi, we seen him create a soundless barrier. Just imagine how effective it is against Doffy's string fruit. I think we should expect an interesting application of it.

Or he can punch you and completely leave you soundless, there are so many possibilities to a devil Fruit ability that every time those comment shows up I just feel like they're lacking creativity
Blueno still has the most overpowered espionage fruit ever. Even Violet's pales in comparison.

We have, yet to see how it's used(Besides the sound barrier). Hopefully it's used in some way.

I had to think on that one, because I was also thinking of the invisibility DF was also good for espionage, though not as good as Violet's … but that's just being unseen, people can still hear Absa and feel him when they hit. So nope Absa is still out of the running. Bleuno, with his door DF, ...he could see the space even when he's gone through a 'door' right?
So that would cover hiding seeing, hearing and feeling him. Yeah that trumps others, heck he could spy on someone and they never know he's 'there'

Air door, huh? It makes me wonder, since the nagi nagi fruit is associated with calm wind. I wonder if Rosinante could somehow tell if there's a disturbance within his calm, per say.
Rosinante could put on quite the mime show

maybe… maybe not... in any case, nothing fancy :P
thank you :)
the german voice of zoro sounds really cool too...
I finally came to the conclusion that Doflamingo has one eye or something is wrong with his left eye.
Oda keeps showing Doflamingo eyes like something is there we should take notice of, Doflamingo always wearing glasses, or cloth wrapped over his eye, but then Oda revealed Dofla right eye but close up. I came to 3 conclusions
1- Doflmaingo has a eye problem where his eyes is weak to light, this explain why he wore sunglasses all the time even when he was a kid.
2- something is wrong with Doflmaingo left eye or he's missing his left eye. I came to this conclusion with Dofla Jolly Roger which has it's left eye crossed out.
!
3- it may be nothing, just me overthinking cuz I'm bored.
Not Bellamy in the flashback, that alone already makes it the best FB so far.
Among the information we got, I noticed that the word "clan" has been used multiple times this arc. I don't how significant that is, but it's interesting that "clan" associates with main family scenario this time.

no bellamy made me happy too but i fear hell show up at some point.

Anyways I don't beleive D means devil.

What kind of animal is that?
It's body looks like a dragon, it's head looks like camel head, it's eyes looks like dogs eye, it's nose look like a human nose, it's ear and mouth look like a dogs ear and goat mouth.
