Not sure if this has been adressed (Still reading the thread lol), but I would like to point that this is wrong.
Supernovas were introduced in Sabaody because Oda's editors thougth the arc wasnt spicy enough and that he should add something more. That doesnt mean he didn't have them in mind: In fact, they are all characters that would make an impact in the New World and that Oda just decided to introduce earlier than expected.
So yes, expect important things from the rest of the SUpernovas: Not only Bonney or Drake (The 2 that will for sure get flashbacks since they already have an interesting story behinf them), others like Capone Bege will be geting their development.
If anything, you can use Sabaody to tell which supernovas will be more important, and it's pretty obvious that the 2 that are more important and are going to get more foccus are Kid and Law, since they were the ones who interacted with Luffy. I see Luffy fighting them just before the Blacbeard Pirates, since a triple captain fight would be awesome (LuffyvsLawvsKid) and Laws and Kids combined crews make just PERFECT match-ups for the rest of the Strawhats (Zoro vs Killer, Sanji vs Bepo, etc.)

i love how the flashback will affect my view of the upcoming battle. normally the enemies only have minimal background which makes me doesnt really care about them being defeated. for this arc however, it's gonna be hard to see baby 5 got KO'ed after we saw her cute, kind self as a kid and the other members after we saw them in their normal situation and their interaction with each other as a family.
make us remember that the enemies also have their own normal, daily life.

We've also forgotten Burgess, Fujitora (slightly), and Big Mum's ship appearing before the Sunny. Also, what's Sabo up to now? sooo many characters in the Dressrosa arc, it'll take 5-10 chapters just to wrap up each individual storyline, never mind the flashbacks.
Also, it's possible CP0 are still on the island.

Power that apparently Dofla or the good guys are GOONG TO NEED at some point in this arc. Also I'd like to bring up the fact that Dofla has his string powers by the time of this chapters flashback Oda showed him use his string slash to save Law and Baby5. I think we will see a birdcage situation coming in the flashback soon probably on a smaller scale than a whole island to help show how much stronger Doffy has developed his ability. I say that because Law seems to have seen the birdcage ability befor.

I still like how people got a fit, because how dare a character who's being held captive, in a place she couldn't tell time, and been in there God knows long is crying. Nope, the character has to fit their exact perception the first panel they are introduced, because a character earlier made her sound like a cold bitch, who takes shit from no one. (I'm exaggerating, but it still gets the point across). If she gets rescued and she only cries all the time, I'll be with you all on a waste of potential, but one panel does not mean that's what the character is going to be. I'll admit her having a special power adds more than we need for an arc full of stuff, but beyond that, I'm reserving judgment for later.

Law's "Water Law" is in fact "Waterloo" as in ワーテルロー I guess he took last part ロー (translated as Law) as his codename. So ワーテル that remains you can read as "wateru", but water would be written as ウォータ (woota). So… I think you can translate his name as both Water Law or Waterloo. In japanese it's both, but in english it's somehow better to call him Water Law, so that you know how his codename (Law) got invented. Correct me if Im wrong, it's kinda confusing, so sorry if I messed something up :P

Right from the first time Law got introduced I knew he was gonna be a friend of luffys, he won't be Luffy's enemy.
Then when Law, Kidd and Luffy came out to fight that scene sealed my speculation.
Law was talking to luffy with respect(probably respecting luffy for being a fellow "D") while at the same time he was telling Kidd he's gonna kill him. And yeah Kidd was arrogant to the two.

It's difficult to see Luffy & Law fighting seriously against one another from now on. Maybe a scuffle for fun at some point, but I don't see either fighting the other with the intent to do as much damage as possible.

Waterloo is a French word, and is pronounced "wahterloo", hence why it's ワーテル and not ウォータ. Everything is correct here.
Since his name was officially romanised as Law, it's safe to say that Waterloo is just a play on words in Japanese, and the actual name is Water Law. It also can be a case of Engrish and Oda just didn't know how Waterloo is written.
