Didn't she whine all the time that she has to take care of her chakra? (Though, of course, she never had an actual noticeable problem with it, didn't she?)

The Kaguya fight was boring enough as it is, and now you want to make it even longer? No thanks. All the choreography in the world couldn't make me care about that fight. I'd rather see that effort go to Naruto vs Sasuke, since it's guaranteed to be super rushed.
I agree the fight was horrible, thats why i want them to remake it and remove black zetsu completely, or atleast make madara the last villain and give him a good filler fight.
@superv:
remove black zetsu completely
Not going to happen, sadly enough.
make madara the last villain
Also not going to happen.
give him a good filler fight
This is probably the most we can hope for, but I'm not holding my breath.
It's especially funny if you consider kaguya got more than 10 chapters and was just a filler character contributing absolutely nothing to the series.^^
Too similar to how Majin Buu was revived from all the energy Goku and Majin Vegeta were giving off from their fight. Except "energy" can be replaced by "chakra" which can be replaced by "destiny vibes".
I was going for more of a "Kaguya was activated by Sasuke's desire to destroy the world, and by teaming up with his friends to defeat her, he learned the error of his ways, and would also bring an end to that whole Asura vs. Indra destiny crap".
I feel like that would flow a lot better than Fight Madara > Asura vs. Indra > Fight Kaguya > Save the world > "K bros, now I'm going to destroy the world myself" route Kishi took. I didn't even think about the DBZ thing, but given Kishi ripped some shit from DBZ anyways, it doesn't really matter at this point.

I think the she (actually her sleeve) complained about her chakra was when she made dimensions because apparently they took a lot of chakra to use.

I don't think it was stated she has an infinite amount of chakra though. I don't know if it was stated Naruto had an infinite amount of chakra either. My memory could be a little rusty but where are people getting Naruto and Kaguya have an infinite amount of chakra?
If people are joking around because they never seem to run out of it, ok. It'd just be explained that they have very vast pools of it anway.
@.access:
I actually think there is a chance we are not going to see this fight. The way the last chapter ended I could see Kishimoto following it with a "X years later…"
Although having 5 chapters showing the kids after the new timeskip would probably diminish the appeal of "Naruto: The Last".
"Special Booklet! Naruto Volume X Chronicles: The final battle! See the final showdown between Naruto and Sasuke, drawn by Kishimoto himself! Only available with the Naruto: The last Collectors Edition DVD set, because fuck you"
…
Yeah, I could see that happen

Yeah, I could see that happen
To be fair, does anyone here honestly want to see the final battle?
I so hoped there would be no final battle, or that it would be settled in not more than one chapter, that not showing it to us it'd be just perfect.
To be fair, does anyone here honestly want to see the final battle?
Honestly, yeah. If Kaguya was the final battle we saw in this manga I would be severely disappointed.
It didn't need to happen though, Naruto vs. Sasuke. They literally had no reason to fight until Kishi forced it through some contrived Sasuke logic. Whatever happens though I hope it's quick so we can get some semblance of a rewarding ending for the other characters.

Key word
Personally I'd like to see it just to get more stuff to mock, because I'm morbidly curious to how i would go, and because I'm saddened that a uniting force and source of so much comedy here on AP is coming to an end.
But beyond that, I could see a lot of fans feeling short-changed by this; "narutard" (Is that word still a thing? I don't think its a thing…) or no, if you wait for years on end for a promised showdown only to have it half-assed or omitted...Even if i think Naruto is utter garbage, I could emphatize with the unfairness of that.
I'm kinda in agreement. I mean…..Naruto caught my eye waaay back in like....2005 or so? The first run on Toonami, and I was hooked. Sure Naruto is....what it is now, but there's no denying that it's been there, in my eye, for a while. Kishi could've ended it right after Kaguya, but nope, had to make Sasuke the final bad guy.
I suppose my question is…..can this manga end with any shred of dignity left? Or has it been throw away with [insert list of stupid things here]? Something for even us APers to remark and say….."wow, okay. It's really over" instead "wow that was complete garbage"

Well yeah, obviously the Naruto fans would want to see it. I'm just saying, no sense in we who don't like the series complaining about something that many of us would gladly like to skip. And yes, I know from a structural/conventional perspective it would make sense to show the final battle, but the point's kind of gotten away from me, so forget it.
I won't be surprised if the movie ends up being to Naruto what End of Evangelion was Evangelion.
I'm not even kidding, there's only 5 chapters left to conclude this story. I can totally see Kishimoto ending Naruto with a perspective analysis based on bonds, the almost implausible idea of true peace, the concepts of betrayal, friendship, real love, etc.
And the New Naruto Era Project being it's own "Rebuild" - or rather "Naruto Kai".
I don't know, but it's fun to make things up like this.
I hope for a good ending, and Naruto getting over his sasuke love, then again I'm knowing that's probably not gonna happen. I hope kishi gives everyone a deserving ending, and not be ignored. The new movie seems like the aftermath/epilogue and I hope everyone is given worthy screen time. dreams

Naruto: (Do not) Believe it!
I can only imagine them fighting for days with no outcome while reminiscing the past, eventually getting too tired to continue and then fall asleep next to each other.
Btw does anyone care about having a new Naruto chapter released? Hmm, whatever.
as i feared, this last fight is not putting anything new on the table, either in the action department (same jutsu as usual) or in the theme one.
Five chapters huh?
This is kind of sudden but I like it .
This chapter felt so rushed like let me end this fight in 1 or 2 chapters
So 5 more chapters. A world without Naruto. Gonna be kinda weird, been 10 years now since i first picked it up, back when it was so good. Good times.
That was… boring. Same stuff, which we already know by heart, and nothing more. Let's just conclude this pointless fight, please, so that we can see how stupidly this manga will end, 'cause I don't believe there will be a good (or even decent, or passable) ending, not after all the crap we had to read.
If its ending in 5 chapters is splitting the thread necessary?
For a battle of two 'monsters' it feels…underwhelming? Their first battle in the valley was much better choreographed imo

Exactly my thoughts, all these allusions Kishimoto makes just show how much his skills degraded over the past 6 or 7 years. It's not even anything new, just spamming "overpowered" lame looking techniques in the most uninspired way.
Was the flashback really necessary?
Poorly choreographed as always and rehashing the first fight to boot. No wonder this series will end in a month, Kishimoto looks like he just wants to get this over with as quickly as possible.
Well this… sucked?
I was excited for first couple of panels but things became boring pretty soon. Throwing out those same flashback panels didn't do much to inspire awe in me, either. Don't know why Kishi feels like he needs to spoon feed us. We all know what's at stake here and we all know their history. Show us the goddamn fight.
Who am I kidding, I knew it would be like this.
Was the flashback really necessary?
of course but but I love the retcon of them secretly liking each other, blushing and giggling when the other isn't looking. Cause that's what friendship is. Liking someone for a long time but never letting them know and then constantly putting them down and trying to kill them.
it's almost over. it's almost over. it's almost over. it's almost over.
This felt like a clip show. Complete with copy-pasting an entire fucking scene from the first battle they had at the damn falls. Fight choreographt is lackluster as expected with two SIMULTANEOUS STRIIIIKES ZOMG FEEL THE CLASH OF THEIR EVEN MATCHEDNESS spreads.
And in the end, we go into Kishimotos favourite writing shortcut: The Mental Dimension removed from space and time.
Yep. its the finale to Naruto all right.
Yeesh.
wasn't the whole "we're not so different"-esque flashback supposed to be used a little later, or something? Felt unneccesary. Yes summons collide like they did back in part I, yes this whole situation is familiar, stop pointing it out, Kishi.
4 weeks left. But I'll be respectful. If Naruto can give me something - anything to make this finale…..memorable (and not in a bad way), I'll give credit. Not looking so good right now.
of course that right is forfeit if next chapter is just them talking and Sasuke doing more "i have to do this, etc.".
Felt like there was more at stake in the first fight even though now the world hangs in the balance on this one. Maybe it's because we didn't know what was going to happen in the first round or the outcome, but now the winner is obvious. Nothing feels like it might all go down the drain. There isn't any tension.
As for the fight itself, I could follow it. Lots of it was just a rehash of the first fight. You know…it's symbolic. Nothing major to complain about except Sasuke really is just fighting now to fight. His motivations are stupid. At least in Part 1 I could understand his reasons for leaving and for attempting to break his bond with Naruto. Now? He wants to be Hokage and the only way to do that is start a revolution and kill anyone who would stand in his way.
Get outta here.

Nah, that wasn't one of Kishi's famous retcons. That flashback actually appeared in their first fight couple of hundred chapters ago.

...Yamato's still stuck in a wall, btw.
and tenten won't get her time to use that sage's tool
Wait, is Anko still cursed/knocked out/whatever too?
And why hasn't Jiraiya shown up yet?
Yeesh.

I doubt it. And it doesn't help that we are promised a "shocking end"…
@Bartholemew:

A "shocking end"? What, are they gonna kiss? That's been foreshadowed since like chapter 2.
…but seriously, how can Kishi even reach a level of shocking? Hasn't he thrown out all of his "surprises" already?
still don't understand why both of them considers the other their best friend…
and can someone tell me how naruto can transform to the nine tail mode without the nine tails being sealed in him?
…but seriously, how can Kishi even reach a level of shocking? Hasn't he thrown out all of his "surprises" already?
Well, he may not be able to shock us with what his characters do, but he still can shock us with what he does by himself.

He has remnants of all the beasts chakra inside of him. Leftover from their game of duck duck goose that took place inside of Naruto. As for their friendship…it's complicated but genuine. Genuinely complicated.

There's supposed to be more off-screen interaction during some more missions prior to the chuunin exam, I think?
And Naruto still has the other half of the Kyuubi inside, I think?
@Cyan:
And why hasn't Jiraiya shown up yet?
He's busy writing the latest installment in the best-selling Icha Icha series.
so 16 panels of mirroring black and white followed by 1 line of "you will never understand me" or "you are a child"….......... not that i expected any better.
also damn it seems we wont be getting a hokage election arc, as per the tradition of ripping off hxh
if he's going for this kind of pacing i cant really see it ending in 5 chapters (4 now)
5 chapters left and he spends an entire chapter doing nothing, nothing was accomplished what a shitty chapter.
5 chapters left and he spends an entire chapter doing nothing, nothing was accomplished what a shitty chapter.
You mean them understanding each other meant nothing to you? Well I'm shocked!
Is there really 5 chapters left?
Well, that was even more dull, poorly-paced, and lazily-choreographed than expected, but…I honestly can't bring myself to be too bothered by it. Because now I know we'e got:
4 CHAPTERS LEFT!!!
This chapter was everything I thought it would be. Lazily choreoghraphed and boring clashes, flashbacks and them ending up in the talk no jutsu dimension, yippie. First couple pages of one piece were done better and had more impact than this entire chapter.
I understand.
YOU'LL NEVER UNDERSTAND.
No, I understand.
You understand me, don't you?
One whole chapter.
