I really usually stay out of battle arguments since I don't like talking about it much but let me just correct some things.
@DollarScholar:
shanks was hanging out in east blue, fighting fodderlevel mountainbandits and losing a limb to a weak sea king.
Moriah was also considered a rival of a future yonkou…
Jinbe is considered the "First son of the Sea". Since we have seen about as many fishmen as swordsmen so far, does that mean that Jinbe is also on a whole other level?
We don't actually know yet what Shanks was doing in East Blue, it could very well be related to why he never gone after the One Piece. Shanks didn't fight the mountain bandits, Benn Beckman did and he only swung his gun a few times. Shanks definitely gave that arm up so Luffy would be more inclined to become a pirate or he bet it on the new age (Luffy) - choose one or both. Moriah and his crew was massacred by Kaido though… I honestly don't think that's the same thing.
@DollarScholar:
How do you know Mihawk wouldnt be scared shitless of Kaidou aswell? Or do you think he could face him equally as a sort of "5th Yonkou"? a 5th Yonkou who couldnt get past vista or Jozu. Yeah right…
I'm pretty sure Oda stated himself all of the Whitebeard commanders are on the same level, right? Adding to that, seem like you're not understanding "the breath of all things", I posted a bunch about it in the 'Haki' thread but anyway, do you recall Zoro's master?

Basically, I'll just give you the gist of it and make it easier to understand. You cannot use the same frequency to CUT - say iron with the same frequency to cut leaves (but I'm starting to interpret that if you use the frequency to cut iron, anything lower like rocks or human skin could be cut as well or maybe it's just the force of it.. well I'll leave you to interpret that part on your own). This definitely applies for diamond, course that's obviously in a whole different frequency and a much higher one at that. Now we don't know if Mihawk could cut Diamond, but we know he knows something as simple as the breath.
Just for a little more example, here's some evidence to what I'm talking about.
The "Flying slash attacks" that swordsmen uses I believe are their 'Ki' but that's not important, what is important is that it's been shown that they can apply the breath to it.
Here's Zoro applying the breath to his flying slash. As you can see he conveniently waited for Ohm to penetrate the rocks (and give his location away) so it's not quite clear if he was able to cut rocks with the same frequency that he used to cut the iron clouds but we do know the force of it push some of the rocks back.

Now you might be wondering why this even matters to Mihawk?

See how it applies?
@DollarScholar:
And im sorry to break it to you, but i dont think the swordsman title means as much as you think it does, because frankly in a world full of crazy overpowered devilfruits we dont see that many swordsmen nor do they look very frightening in comparison. It has story value to Zoro but i wouldnt put too much weight on it. Jinbei is like the world champion of fishman karate, using your logic shouldnt that put him on the same kinda weird pediestal?
I actually find that logic flawed, swordsman are like jobs/classes. There's many of them in the world, from different races and all over the world. Fishman Karate is a fighting style which are generally used by Fishmen (not counting Koala) but I do think Jinbei is strong in his own right but that's like saying the users of Black Leg style or Hasshoken should also be World Champions.
