well, true but i think he's a mole, because he know he can't beat Luffy. He said he did everything for his country so I think he will do anything to save his own life so he infiltrated this team . Everything in his characterization making him a "bad guy", specially he faced Rebecca "the good girl" in the tournament. In the last two chapters, he's the only one who doesn't had devellopement.
I say that because I don't think last movement of Doffy won't give anything. For me Rebbeca will have a big devellopment. Her sword was broke, Her group is weaker( Sabo and Koala are gone) and Barto will have a fight.
I think she will hurt a bad guy for trying to protect his grand-father or ViolaIt seemed like Suleiman was a fallen angel type of character, to me. He did everything he could for his country and they branded him a criminal. He was betrayed. Now he's just a criminal. But the fact that he's with the guys who are going against Dofla, and not with the guys who are trying to collect star bounty, shows he still holds some moral values. Don't think he will turn into a bad guy. Not more than he is anyway.
As for Rebecca, I could live without her having a relevant battle. Maybe fighting together with someone. This arc spent way too much time on her as it is.

Even without Ribery I expect France to perform well. Back in 2006 they REALLY would've deserved the title (oh man how sad I was when Zidane had to leave the field) while what happened in 2010 was just embarrassing for both the trainer and the team. That is why I want to see the new and improved 2014 players show us what France's football is like.
Pretty sure this is a better topic than Vergo's d*ck being made out of metal.
Talking about that 2006 cup, I was in Cesenatico Italy when that match was played out, I was literally there when Italy won the world cup. One of the most epic moment of my whole life :p
The sound we heard in the city when Zizou tanked Materasi, I won't ever forget hahaha omg, not even talking about when the game ended, the whole country yelled and started running to the streets. It was amazing.
(P.S. Sorry for flaming the off topic)

I don't think Brazil will do much, they couldn't even qualify for the last European Championship.
Brazil is not in europe.

-
Razh, for what it's worth, I got that you were joking.
-
Yeah, thanks captain.
Thanks for thinking I'm stupid.
Mhm yea I was a bit slow on this one :p
I've already heard it in real life tho so we never know :D

I was wondering if anyone would correct me.
Anyway, the cup opens with Brazil playing against Croatia. Gonna be honest, not expecting much, lol. If we could get out with even result, that would be awesome.
Not that I care about football much, i play rugby. I always laugh when I see football players rolling on the grass, holding their heads in pain. I'll never forget Rivaldo getting hit with a ball in the knee when he was about to shoot corner, and then falling on the floor holding his head. The poor opposing player that passed him the ball got a red card, lol.

Oh my memories are letting me down, I always though Rivaldo got the red card lol
-
If you enjoyed Rivaldo Razh, try looking up Dida being "struck" by a fan when Celtic played AC Milan.

I remember now, it was against Turkey. It ended 2-1 for Brazil. And Rivaldo got fined with less than 10 000 USD.
Just imagine that Korean referee trying to mantain poker face and sweating while observing replay on the stadium monitor, lol.

While I still believe that Italy's victory in '06 was undeserved, I can understand your sentiment. It must've been freakin magical to be in Italy when they won the finals. All the euphoria, all the happiness, all the wine… yup, definitely a sight to behold.
Now imagine what it would be like if Brazil won the tournament.OT: Zidane probably wore a metal hat when he knocked out the Italian. Now back to football.

Yes I don't wanna get into the ''they shouldn't of and they should of'' topic, but it was incredible, and btw Zidane is my idol so it was a huge shocker when I saw that on the huge screen, I couldn't believe it, but since I was in Italy, I was hoping for them to win…
Too bad I was only 16 so we didn't really get to party this much, but I can tell ya 1 thing, shit was going down big time lol
Zidane put all his heart into that headbutt, looked pretty powerful hahaha
-
No we've already seen it and it was shit.
That's good. For a second i thought people genuinely thought Law had a chance.

sorry but, after going to Italy every year from the mid 90's I can tell you that you can party effing hard in Italy, even when you're 14. Like in most European countries.
Also, football is SO boring… Why is AP infested with this crap?
-
no op discussion here? I'm bored
-
Now imagine what it would be like if Brazil won the tournament.
I imagine all the problems and the loss of money WC caused would be forgotten for at least a day or two
Btw, I just watched that Dida clip, lmao.
Hanauta Sancho: Yahazu Giri!!!
!
Bonus: Higan!!!

Yeah, Zoro's the oldest crew member and he'll be fighting Shiliew though. I don't think seniority will play much of a part in the matchups.
Don't know if majorly uninformed or…
Yoo, he ain't the oldest.
He has like. Three crew members older than him dawg. -
Ok it was "fun" youvguys but lets get to something on toic…. like power discussion..... or vergo metal df xd
-
Can't wait to see Donquixote Corazón, how sexy a man called "heart" could be?
-
2 more weeks of waiting?
-
What would Abdullah and Jeet do?
I think their role would be just get controlled by Doflamingo and slash each other to unconsciousness.
Just to show Luffy what Doffy can do with his powers. -
That's what Law is broght there for. To become a puppet and receive a faceful of Luffy's fist.
Meanwhile Abdullah and Jeet will ride around on Ucy shouting obscenities at Doflamingo.
-

Watch him be almost identical -except the hair- to his brother that has a name that brings flamingos to mind.:ninja:
-
That would be the laziest way to introduce a new character that has been mentioned for 50 chapters.
-
I was curious, does anyone else find the situation of Zoro's fight a little strange? Back when the Strawhats had regular 1 v 1 fights Zoro was almost always forced to fight with a handicap for some portion of the fight. Here he (so far) appears to be fighting on perfectly fine footing. I have to believe that Pica's use of his DF will be the deciding factor in putting Zoro at a disadvantage, I don't know exactly how though. If it's the fact that he'll be forced to locate where Pica's body is, or otherwise.
And I will be thoroughly disappointed if Abdullah, Jeet, and the bull aren't actively involved in the beginning of the Doflamingo fight.

noice
as much as i love oda's colorspreads i would sort of like to see what the next coverstory is going to beYour not the only one buddy, my expectations keeps getting higher and higher just because whatever is coming has to be related to the chaos that's about to engulf the New World
-
I think Oda will still do a couple more weeks of requests after color spread.
Anyways I hope for a Football themed color page? Hopefully xD -
I hope the colorspread involves Doflamingo.

@Pk:
That's good. For a second i thought people genuinely thought Law had a chance.
I bet there's a few Law fan boys who think this he has a chance. For what it's worth I don't think he has a chance, but I do hope he tries just so I can see him get beat up again.

Donquixote Dontflamingo?
-
Is Donquixote his first name or ls it his family name?

It's the family name. Donquixote family was said to be one of 20 that founded WG.

So in One Piece does everyone have their family name first and given name last?
-
Thanks so what about Kuma is that his given name or his family name?
Oda seems to use the traditional Japanese order of naming -family/can name first, then personal name. There hasn't been a case where he has shown to use the western system of personal name first, the family name last. Many people point to characters that have names that sound like traditional western given names first like =
Bartholomew Kuma,
Edward Newgate
Caterina Devon
Even some say Trafalgar Law's given name is Trafalgar and not Law. (I disagree there and say Law is it)
And say "this is proof!" … no its not. Oda has not said that Bartholomew, Edward, and Caterina are their first names. What he's shown is that when he did made clear which is the family and which is given name, its always first name that is the family name. (in cases of Monkey, Gol and Boa families)So I am inclined to say that Kuma is his given name, Bartholomew is the family name.
-
So in One Piece does everyone have their family name first and given name last?
i don't think that applies to "trafalgar law" for example , his name is trafalgar and law is just a nickname for his fruit ! or that's what i assume
-

Some are like that and some aren't.
Donquixote Doflamingo, Monkey D. Luffy, Roronoa Zoro, Nico Robin…
But then there's also Edward Newgate, Catarina Devon...

There's nothing even remotely suggesting that Law is a nickname for his fruit.

That would be boss, I read somewhere that Oda does like his football.
