This should be good. Can't go wrong with Otsuka and Miyamoto! I was hoping for a better animation director, but I'm hoping for some good sakuga.

Seems like all the Dwarves have cutesy voices.
EDIT: This was pretty well done.
-
That was good, I liked the filler.
-
it was an ok episode after all
-
Sanji was AWESOME.
-
Oh look, pre-timeskip Sanji is back!
Best part of the episode, definitely going to rewatch it with subs.
-
This was the best episode of 2014 so far, Animation, art and creativity all were handled good.
Original camera angles and nice design, like the filler boss with the beard.
9/10 this is almost perfect for a OP episode
EDIT: Party table ? that attack hasn't been used for years ! sugoiii.
(I hope they will bring back anti manner kick course too sometime soon)
-
Whoo, man what an episode. Everything was simply fantastic from start to finish and flowed very well, even the filler bits were great.
Awesome job this week, Toei.
-
Nothing too special animation wise, but everything looked nice and the direction made everything flow really well. Overall good episode.
I also really liked all the different camera angles. I hope that's something that continues -
This was soooooooooooo goooooooooooood. I would watch again!
This would have been a contender for ep of the year, if it had better animators.
-
Seeing the C Block characters made me very happy. :3
-
I really enjoyed the scenes with the tournament participants the art and animation there was great.
-
Man, everyone's saying it's great I'm so excited!
That picture of Jean Ango reminds me…
! has he ever made an appearance after he got K.Oed by Chinjao?
Also, any more screenshots you can share with us?? I'd be greatful.

Meanwhile, at Bizarro Toei
-
Great episode! It's filled with fantastic filler that actually provides atmosphere and actually expands the plot in some way. And the animation had good use of dynamic angles to get things done. Good on Toei for making Sanji such a boss too.
What I find amazing is that this episode is actually half a chapter!
A HALF A CHAPTER EPISODE WAS THIS GOOD!
-
That filler was amazing! Even better than the canon material.
-
Party table kick course <3
-
AMAZING EPISODE!! Why cant toei deliver this kind of episodes every week
-
@Medical:
Even better than the canon material.
16 chars of Ehhhh
-
By the way, anyone notice the episode was mistitled on Funimation and Crunchyroll's site?
"The Fishing Fish Attack!"
…?
-
Just finished watching, yep the praises are well-deserved.
Bridge-crossing was intense, C block contestants were nicely introduced and yes, Sanji is awesome. -
great episode! im not even sure which part was filler, its been so long ive read this chapter but the whole thing was fuckin awesome
-
Damn. Really good episode. The filler parts were nice. I was wondering what was the point of using Diable Jambe on that dude but it made me laugh so whatever.
-
This episode was awesome! Looks like they actually tried to make this episode look good
-
This episode should jump off of the top of a tall building with a giant S emblazoned on its chest. Really man, that directing, that storyboarding, that art, that animation! Just excellent all the way through.
-
great episode! im not even sure which part was filler, its been so long ive read this chapter but the whole thing was fuckin awesome
yeah same here, i just assumed it was all canon because its been way too long since i took a second look at that chapter. Either way nicely done, the way they handled sanji's attacks definitely gave him back some of his edge.
-

Pretty much all the sanji scenes in this episode were filler and I think the c block intros.
-
I enjoyed watching the episode. There was nothing that felt out of place to me and damn, that was an awesome Sanji filler right there. Other than that filler, I don't even know which parts are. Good episode.
-

Exactly this.
His filler in this episode was so amazing that I can take it as canon material
Manga made him look real bad and anime filled the gap and Sanjis awesomness was left untouched for me :happy:Whole episode was pretty amazing as it goes for art and pacing. Animation was eye-candy at quite a few moments. Next episode on preview doesnt look very good but after this ep I am sure they can deliver in crucial moments of this arc as some pretty awesome and short fights are comming.
All in All I enjoyed whole episode. Feels good after getting most of times downgraded stuff compared to manga.

Wow. The things a good director can do. Half a chapter made a great episode with about 1/3 of fun filler. The main thing I loved about this episode was the long scenes– there were three storylines that got focused on, and they didn't keep flashing back and forth between them all. That's my main issue with the manga this arc-- for some chapters he won't stick with anyone for more than a few pages and then go back to them within the same episode. Love how he kept with the scenes for a while.
Great animation and art, too. Sanji is pretty hilarious and the Law-focused scene was awesome. Music keeps you engaged.
-
So, it does say Corazon on his back…
!

:OOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Good find!
-
Great episode all around. Good animation/art/directing and quality filler.
I almost can't believe it was Yokoyama, his episodes really got a lot better. -
Dat Sanji… I love his fighting animated
-
Don Chinjao had a seizure when he was getting introduced lol :D
-
Oh God!!! what an epic ep we had today!!! non-stop fangitling!!! thatluffyxbellamy scene! that Barty's reaction to hearing Luffy's name! that Law's chest tattoo :3 that Corozon's name on his back ! these brilliant fights on the bridge (the biggest applauses belong to Ceasar because of his gastille)! these mysterious and cute voices! that freaking wild island! Ideoooooo !!! <3 <3 <3 these sanji's five minutes!!!
the art, EVEN THE PACE WERE ALSO INCREDIBLE!
PRICELESS !!!! hope to see next ep with such reactions! -
Good art and animation, but
! What was up with that Sanji filler? Why did Violet have those thugs beaten for no reason? Were they Doffy's men? Then how they dare to hold an officer at gunpoint?
-

Because she was using them?
If you're a manga reader, you know…
! …they're not exactly on good terms. Maybe the leader didn't hesitate to do that because they realized she could be betraying them.
-
Or maybe she underestimated Sanji and thought they would be able to defeat him by themselves (she even played the ostage to help the big guy)
-
@Monkey:
(she even played the ostage to help the big guy)
I think the guy was serious (it seems they were not expecting "that woman" to take him there), but yeah, she could take out the leader if she wanted. And she looked genuinely surprised when Sanji appeared right in front of them suddenly, as if she expected that would work out.

That's probably the best explanation.
