Dude, she's the ice queen.
From Frozen.
Edit: Damn, I've been ninja'd!
I haven't watch this movie yet.

It's a movie from Disney. The campaign for the movie was to send the continental US in a frozen hell. Well it worked.

Yeah I'm guessing Elsa would actually win this.
Hmm, now that I think about it, Aokiji was able to send half an island into eternal winter, but Elsa did it to the planet. She might have a case.
but Elsa did it to the planet. She might have a case.
She turned one Not-norwegian fjord city into eternal winter. I must have missed the whole planet part that wasn't in the movie.

Ah seems you are correct, my bad.
@Terry:
Damn, I startled Zephos.
Well everyone looks a bit messed up after Ursus Shock. So I thought, as it being AoE, it should have blasted Luffy as well. Really just a minor thought. Or was Luffy out of range?
whether it hit him or not, kuma removed the fatigue after the shock so "internally" (if thats even the best way to describe it) it was removed.
@Terry:
Damn, I startled Zephos.
That was a good one
He even mentioned it in his final words, so no.
you talking about this?
!
if so, it doesn't really imply either for or against. in this moment, he's talking about the incident of sabo's "death" yes, but in the manner of it molding him into actually being a brother figure. whether he found out he was alive later or not doesn't really change that thats the moment that changed him.

He was speaking about the letter.
And mentioning the letter did imply that he didn't know Sabo was alive. And again, if Ace knew, he would have told Luffy, but he didn't even when he was dying.
There should be obivious that Ace didn't know it
Maybe I'm missing something here but how does that even imply that? He's specifically talking about one of, if not only his reasons for living.
To me the conversation doesn't seem to imply either.
For example: (paraphrase)
He still thinks sabo is dead-
"Yea the sabo thing changed me"
The incident changed him and up until ace's death it kept him as such.
He knows he's alive-
"Yea the sabo thing changed me"
The incident changed him but he later found out he's alive but because it did change him it kept him as such up until ace's death.
Just seems ambiguous to me.
Now to be clear, I initially didn't think ace knew and if I was to gamble I'd bet on him not knowing but the possibility of him not knowing is pretty cruel and hence my doubt.
It would mean ace lived for another 10 years believing his other brother dead and died not even being able to hug his brother one more time. In fact, since ace did die, sabo showing up would have definitely made a difference emotionally for ace even if he still did end up dying as he would have died knowing his brothers had each other (even though luffy got his crew).
Either way as i said above if I was a gambling man I'd bet on ace not knowing but I could very well seeing him knowing also. I just wanted to See what the ap population thought.

In order for me to believe Ace knew I'd need a solid reason why Ace wouldn't tell Luffy either the first time the met or at the war itself. Seems pretty cruel of Ace to keep the fact that his other brother is still alive from him.
Ace didn't know Sabo was alive, he made that pretty clear with his dying words.
Had he known, he most certainly would have told Luffy.
There would be no reason not to tell him, and certainly not to reference Sabo at the very end and still not tell him.
Maybe I'm missing something here but how does that even imply that? He's specifically talking about one of, if not only his reasons for living.
If Ace knew Sabo was alive, he would have told Luffy when they met up in Alabasta like… three weeks earlier. It would have probably been one of the first things he'd mentioned.

That heartless bastard.
Keeping back news like that and just running off to char grill some baroque works ships.
Disgusting.
That was my impression as well, why not tell luffy? But then I thought it could be one of those live your life moments and discover it for yourself; you know one piece has those moments every now and then.
Oh well just a thought.

That's more for abstract ideas like what's really important in life or something.
Not a stone cold fact like your believed to be dead pseudo brother is actually alive and well.

I know you're being facetious but it doesn't really work in this case because the latter is basically:
"That heartless bastard sabo,
kept himself hidden for ten years leaving his brother to die believing as such.
Disgusting."
See what I mean?
Anyway this is NOT me saying he knew, just that the former seems really cruel.

No it's not, the very fact of luffy not wanting to know if the one piece exist disproves this.

Well Sabo is working for a clandestine and dangerous organisation.
I doubt he'd be allowed to go on a sojourn to either Luffy or Ace and say he was alive, or even send letters for fear of interception and discovery of the revolutionary army.
I doubt he sat there and didn't bother informing his brothers out of sheer laziness.
If Ace knew, then he had more than ample opportunity to tell Luffy.
Which he didn't because he clearly didn't.

Luffy didn't want to spoil his entire journey by hearing what One Piece is.
Being told Sabo is alive has no negative ramifications whatsoever.

I'm not arguing that he knew per say and everything you said above I've deduced as well so you're preaching to the choir, but even after all of that I have this slight uneasy feeling. The whys of the situation are particularly of what I seek. (Which I hope is sooner than later) Ace was in the new world for some time, a fairly strong pirate of great stature, even an envoy reaching him should have been possible. Rock star made it to the whitebeards ship, koala made it to sabo yet these two just never met. Dragon even met his son. And even Ivankov made a move ( granted she thought ace dragons son)
And yet the simplest answer to this is, he couldn't be found out about yet.
So yea I know ace actually knowing is slim to none but as I said it's just that slight itch I can't scratch.
In regards to the spoiling the adventure I understood that I was just disagreeing with it being an abstract idea

Maybe Sabo told Ace that Luffy should first be powerful enough to protect himself from the government before telling him. Because it is somehow dangerous to know that stuff.
Why did do Doflaming have a pointy chin when he was 17, but he doesn't have one now?

Closest I could think of on the spot was this: http://www.batoto.net/read/_/146320/one-piece_ch692_by_mangarule/18
I guess it really is a perspective thing
Sabo has been making it clear that he is intent on inheriting Ace's will. Based on what I read in the "Will of D." page on the One Piece Wiki, could this mean that Sabo could inherit the "D." from Ace as well?
I wonder how big the Revolutionary Army is. If they use a Rank system like the Marines. I can't wait to learn more about them.

To know that Sabo is alive at all?
It's not like Ace would have had to go into detail about the revolutionary army.

Something like"I gotta go and by the way Sabo is alive"?
Considering Luffy's emotional state after his death, Ace knowing but not telling would come off as incredibly heartless.
Now that we know that Doflamingo travels by using the clouds, am I correct in assuming that here: http://www.batoto.net/read/_/154527/one-piece_ch697_by_mangarule/13 when he says the ''sky road'' has been interrupted it simply means that there were no clouds in a straight line going to PH and he had to take a detour?

16 char of you are correct
I would like you guys to share your ideas and opinion with me 1. first question how strong do you guys think Nightmare Luffy was- was he at VA, Admiral or a Yanko commando level. 2. Do you think current Luffy is as strong or stronger than Nightmare Luffy 3. If luffy is as strong as nightmare luffy who overpowered oars with ease even able to bang him like bam bam in flint stone don't you think he should me a match for Don Flamingo. Excuse my grammer and can you guys please share your opinion
How many left handers can you name I've got 9 (Zoro, Vergo, Momonga,Doberman, Pell, Chaka, Borsalino, Sakazuki and Zambai) did I miss any.

He was certain his little bother would overcome his death and become the pirate king. It's not like he saw Luffy going Crazy in Amazon Lily.
Do you think Mihawk challenged Issho once he heard about Fujitora him, either after he became an admiral or before that if he had a great reputation?
In general, I'd say Hawk-Eye does challenge others by himself, at least that's what I would interpret from his appearance on the island and conversation with Shanks.

Fujitora is handicapped, just like Shanks. Mihawk doesn't like fighting those.

I assume he would have the same problem either way.

Not necessarily.
Fujitora still has a way to see in place of his eyes, his swordplay wouldn't be diminished.
Shanks having only 1 arm would be a much larger handicap for a duel.

True, but then, Fuji is already pretty old.

Very true. Maybe Mihawk fought him at some point on the way up.
Yeah I was wondering about Mihawk, him being the world's best swordsman and all, does that mean he has fought and beaten everyone of worh, or he just beat the previous best? What do you guys think?

But surely if shanks fought with one sword style losing an arm wouldn't handicap him?

I'm assuming he fought various powerful swordsman but only became the best in the world once he'd beaten his official predecessor who was recognised as the best.

He never fought Vista before the war, so I suppose it is number 2. After all the moment Mihawk is beaten by Zoro he becomes the new best.

Ok guys thanks! Yeah the second possibility sounds like the most accurate, but i guess we'll eventually find out when Zoro beats Mihawk :)

If Mihawk is alive long enough to be bested by him that is.

Yes true… I do hope that Zoro gets to fight him though, then maybe Shilliew swoops in and kills him... I really want to see the Zoro vs Mihawk fight! But I admit that from a narrative standpoint Zoro fighting Shiliew makes more sense
