What if one of the other reasons that Garp doesn't like to talk about the God Valley incident was a begrudgng team up of Roger and Garp with Rocks against someone else first or some other purpose.

Say they team up to fight Garland (who somehow says he enjoyed fighting Garp enough or some warrior pride to not let him speak out against Garp), then maybe at the end, Rocks swicthes goes for Garp, Roger saves him and Garp feels shame at having his life saved by a pirate - also wouldn't want to publicise that he fought a CD as it would upend the world? So he doesn't bring it up.

Just think it could be intriguing having there be some twist to Rocks, rather than just simply have him be bad - why would Whitebeard be on a ship with him otherwise

Yep, regardless of her relationship with Momo, can't completely deny the possibility of Yamato partially getting more invested in Luffy's story because of Joy Boy, seeing as how Oden was waiting for him.

Yeah Yamato's desire to be Oden is mirroring Oden's early desire of leaving Wano and exploring the world - rather than the older wiser Oden who cared for his family and Wano.

With the most recent chapter, 1,045 and Kaido mentioning Luffy having both properties of a paramethia and a Zoan, would you guys have liked it more to see Kaidos comments first and then jump to the 5 Elders to get the information dump? So change the order and create some suspension? Kaidos comments in Chapter 1,044 and 5 Elder reveal in Chapter 1,045. Or are most of you, who voted for Hate it, in general disappointed with the retcon?

I think I would've liked to have just seen Kaido's comments (he mirrored so much of the 5 elders exposition) for this arc, then at a later arc have Zunesha appear and do the Joy Boy reveal along with the 5 elder exposition.

I'm thinking more like Yu Yu Hakusho, Yusuke fighting Sensui gets the power up, only elaborated upon in the next arc.

I don't think it makes sense to have Tama and Moria's fruits share the same weakness.

The zombies being weak to salt is based on spirit-purifying practices certain Shinto monks in Japan once performed.

Oh i get the old spirit purification legends of salt. But I think considering Oda has made a point of it specifically being Seawater that dampens DF users, not other bodies of water then. Its been a while since I watched any of TB so can't recall if Usopp specifically says seasalt.

But it's not just Moriah's and Tama's fruits having the same weakness…... it's all DF fruit users. I was just wondering whether sea water would negate the effects of the ranged prolonged effect DFs. I mean now that I think of it I wonder if Sugar's toys would revert if flooded with Sea Water.

Saw a comment about all the water and all the DF users and smiles, it got me thinking actually.

Surely the sea water flooding everywhere should negate the effects of all the Kibidango. We know for a fact that salt negated the ranged lasing effects of Moriahs zombies when they ingested it.

Oda wouldn't do this, but flooding the arena should flip all the chess pieces back to Kaido, especially when he is annoyed about the loss of his men, and it's not like he's been a dick to his men - yes I know Queen was with the virus. But really theres no reason that if they got purified from effects of kibidango they would still decide to help against him.

Also is there a time limit on the control or number of people Tama can affect. as really it's been a while since I've thought about how op she is.

Luffy is going to ride Zunesha into battle.
We now know Gear 5th allows Luffy to turn into a giant. It's also practically confirmed Joy Boy had the same devil fruit as Luffy, and therefore, the same abilities, based on what Zunesha is saying. Finally, we know Zunesha was Joy Boy's crewmate.

So Joy Boy could have become huge enough to ride Zunesha, and therefore, so can Luffy. I predict we will see that at some point, likely at the final war.

The only issue is Luffy's ass would crush the mink tribe to death, but I'm gonna guess they will probably build some kind of machine that hides their city safely inside Zunesha's saddle or something. Franky can probably build it in a weekend.

I think we will see Luffy's awakening affect Zunesha and turn him into a zany cartoony elephant as some major contrast to the old sad sunken eyed elephant he currently is. I also don't think that would mean Luffy will ride him as a giant, but maybe a combo of bigger luffy and a bit of a smaller Zunesha (humour in this luffy grabs his tale and like a car jack in reverse his legs fall lower).

Zunesha is many miles and miles away from Onigashima though, just look at the first page of the chapter. And I doubt Zunesha can walk on land considering his legs. It just happens that Zunesha's hearing is that good, LOL.

And I think it's a good moment to start revealing these big pieces of the puzzle.

I mean the size of Zunesha likely means he can spray water quite far since his bathing himself was going up against gravity, where it would presumably be more horizontal against Onigashima. or his size means he can probably cover ground quite quickly, if requested by Momo or Luffy.

Also Zunesha will be able to do anything in the story pretty soon. Animals in OP have always seemed so lively and colourful. Pre Zou arc if Oda said he was doing an arc on a giant elephant I don't think anyone envisioned it to be so decrepit, sunken eyes and frail looking and depressed.

But the reason for this I'm fairly certain now, since his reveal he's joyboy's partner in crime is that Luffy will use his awakened powers and make Zunesha a lively animated elephant

I can't help but feel Zunesha's arrival in this arc shouldn't have really happened yet. The joy boy reveal from him should've come later on as his presence kinda takes away from Raizo's plan.

Zunesha's bath water is just water…. since he's always travelling. What was to stop Zunesha just spraying Onigashima himself.

Without him here we could've just thought this was Luffy's awakening, keep some mystery about his cartoonish powers.
