Naruto and Bleach IV- Sexy time

I'm 26 years old. What does a join date have to do with this?
Sometimes you can draw interferences from the join date, as a lot of people who joined in 2013 or 2014 or probably a bit younger than the peopel who joined in 2006 or 2007. At least in most anime forums I encountered this is the case, anime is a medium with a lot of teenagers and therefore fluctuation. It also means they often lack exposure and tend to overrate the execution of - to them unfamiliar - tropes.
Other than that, maybe you are just not accustomed enough to the fun daily Kubo/Kishi trashtalks we have here. In any case, it was more about experience and less about age.Let's just agree to disagree. If it annoys you that we trashtalk Kishi and Kubo you should probably not visit this thread, though. I can't picture us praising them here.
-
Now now, let's not do the join date thing.
Look, if Propaans liked the chapter, he liked the chapter. Similarly, Propaans, if we didn't like the chapter, we didn't like the chapter. We don't need to be tearing each other's heads off in a war of superiority of taste.

Yeah, I'm a pretty cool guy and very tolerant and all. But it just keeps building up when all I see in this topic is people taking out their anger on Kubo. Well, I let it out, so I hope I will be able to bear with those comments for a while once again.

Well everyone knows people who spearhead invasions that will change the face of the cosmos forever ought to have the same expression as a person reading a Harper's while waiting for a dermatology appointment
Fixed, because dentistry involves actual dread.

It's not our fault Kubo's making himself suh an incredibly easy target.
And then there's Bleach too :ninja:.

We derive perverse hedonistic pleasures from bashing on Bleach.

Theres no anger involved. Since late Hueco Mondo it was just accepted that the most legit entertainment bleach could provide was by providing material for satire and ridicule.
You can either try and accept the room for what Tommy Wiseau intended it to be, for a total enjoyment of "eeeehhh"
Or you can mock it and have a blast.–- Update From New Post Merge ---
Note how only the villains express emotions
Expressing emotions is the Bleach equivalent of losing the Akatsuki cloak.
Show anything beyond Arrogant Smugness, and your defeat is sealed; just compare Ichigo and Aizens final battle to their first. -
No Naruto this week?! But I gots to know if Saskay and Narudo are really dead!!! The tension is killing me.

dude, if you have something nice or bad to say about the chapter then say it, discuss it but be prepare to rationally defending whatever your point.. you don't need to complain about others complaining/discussing (what ever you prefer) about the chapter or the direction the story are going. that's not cool at all..

no chapter because Kishi's father pass away last week i think..

This chapter:
Renji fell asleep
Racist cartoon used Glare
Racist cartoon used Glare
Racist cartoon used Glare
Renji woke up
Renji fledAs Nodt used Fear
It had no effect -
I guess I'm a real "silver-lining" kind of guys, cause this is how I feel about this chapter. Rukia fighting fear-Quincy and countering his ability by…not having emotions? Sure why not, good for you. When does Rukia ever get anything.
-
Another fantastic bleach chapter that could have been covered in 4 pages max.
-
Knowing Kubo, I'm sure the Quincy that follows Renji will be named something like "Negro Coconut". I mean, come on, what's up with the lips, man?
And I'm still waiting to hear what was good about this weeks Bleach chapter, pRopaaNS. No need to hurry, think about it deeply, we'll gladly talk about it.
-

I'm not trying to portray or become into a cool person, therefore sorry for your advice being useless. It's not like I completely don't care what other people think about me in internet, but if I'm honest then I at least sometimes can find something with value when people responds to my opinions.
I think that Bleach is interesting in its own way, while most of people in this topic seems to judge it from stereotypical standpoints, hence resulting in people not being able to enjoy this series. Everything in this world is relative, meaning that emotional and rational reactions and opinions depends on what kind of standards and expectations any person creates on his own will for comparisons. That's my point of view and this is reason why I tend to express openly my dislike towards using standartized ways of thinking, which in this case seems to result in a lot people not being able to enjoy Bleach.
Well, whatever, because I'm unable to enjoy Naruto, but it isn't because I'm refusing to adapt to its unique story and style, but because it contradicts itself and throws away it's own good traits whose I enjoyed long time ago. It's just too much when all ninjutsu and characters we've seen being developed through story are cast aside as useless when confronting those OP final opponents. 10 tails and Madara literally makes most of built up things during all previous arcs meaningless. It's like Kishi himself spits on his own work and effort he have put in his manga.
-
but because it contradicts itself and throws away it's own good traits whose I enjoyed long time ago.
You don't like Naruto for this reason, but you ENJOY Bleach….......?
WHAT?

He has already been named, his name is NaNaNa Najahkoop, one of the most ridiculous names I've ever heard. Seriously, the parents of Sternritter aren't very good at naming. Who the heck names his child BG9?
Äs Nödt is the Kishin of Bleach.

The "not cool" was referring to "generally considered unnaceptable". Not to you trying to brand yourself as a cool person.

So you are saying that we're unable to enjoy Bleach because of our "conventional" assesment of it? We're moving into "Required IQ level" territory here.
The only approach to make Bleach seem good is to lower your standards enormously and ignore all objective writing flaws.
Which is not a stereotypical approach, I'll grant you that.Well, whatever, because I'm unable to enjoy Naruto, but it isn't because I'm refusing to adapt to its unique story and style, but because it contradicts itself and throws away it's own good traits whose I enjoyed long time ago. Guess what other manga does all those things.
Unless having terrible writing and story coherency is the "unique story and style" of Bleach, and therefore excused. -

Anyway that doesn't mean lowering your IQ and making yourself dumber, but to shift your focus on other things whose deserves more attention than just paying attention to "flaws" and ignoring everything good about subject.

Theres no anger involved.
That's true for me, except for the Fullbring arc and the level of Chad (and Orihime)'s involvement, due to it both having been several years since they did anything in the story at the time and Kubo told his fans the arc was going to be "Chad's arc".
I hate being lied to ya know ?
-
This Bleach Chapter:
FEAR ABLOOGY WOOGY WOO FEAR!
-
So… Just like the Deicide chapters, the Qunzi war is just another turn-based battle bonanza where the fighters have to play hide and seek. And what's the reason for showing those Arranquizis at the very start of all this mess if they are not being used to fight in this "war"?
-
Bleach is about cool characters with fighting with swords and different abilities, fine enough concept for me to enjoy reading it.
How can you say a character is cool if every character acts the same and has the same expression? A character is cool only when he does something that jumps him above the characters around him, if he brakes the mold. Ichigo was cool with his bankai, because it was the first time anyone got one so quickly and it was unheard of of such a small bankai. Ichigo was cool when he went half-hollow fighting Byakuya and full-hollow fighting that other dude later in Huenco Mundo. A character doing a smug face isn't cool, it's boring. And lately - a lot in Bleach was boring, because of how Kubo tries everything to look cool.
And different abilities? How can we like the new chapter, where that one Quincy attacks Rukia with fear if we never saw this attacks in motion and Rukia isn't affected by it? How can I gauge if what Rukia did, defending this attack, was cool if I didn't see if it affects someone? It's like if Perona in Thriller Back started fighting with Usopp from the start and was angry her ghosts don't work on him because he's a loser - it wouldn't have ANY coolness in it because we wouldn't see how it affects someone. But Oda showed us that people think of themselves as not worthy of living and that Usopp was the only one who could fight her - it was perfect exposition, unlike what Kubo did here.
-

People do point out when Kubo does something right. Did you miss everyone here being fans of Mask de Masculine? He'll I'll gladly say that Roboquincy and As Nödt have some good designs as far as Spirit Nazis go. But a few grains of Quality doesn't outweigh the sheer mountain of Terrible. If Bleach had more Good than Bad stuff then the thread would be singing a wholly different tune, but as is, its absolutely justified to call it a crap-tier series.
And if you believe that Bleach is not crap, that it in fact has more good than bad, then - as Hisoga pointed out - make a case for it. Don't just tell us "you're wrong, look at it differently and its much better" and leave it at that.
Bleach is about cool characters with fighting with swords and different abilities, fine enough concept for me to enjoy reading it.
But wheres the difference from
"Naruto is about tortured ninjas fighting with jutsus and different abilities, fine enough concept for me to enjoy reading it"?
Why is it acceptable for Bleach to have the very same flaws you sneer at Naruto for? -
Being an emotionless badass worked for Sesshoumaru. Who was basically one character who acted that way in Inuyasha. Having 99% of the cast in Bleach giving "cold" blank stares and douchey smirks is boring for me.
The fights in Bleach come off as really uninspired. Mask was great for a bit. But it's always battles of I have the upper hand, oh no wait I losing. New person shows up. They have the upper hand…Or did they?! Kubi really has done some of the worst choreographed fights. Staging rarely makes sense or flows right. People have terrible battle strategies...Most it's just a mishmash of trying out the latest power up with little thought to what makes sense. The Quincies should have decimated SS with their absorb all spirit particles ability alone. The pointlessness of using someone elses Bankai...Just so many throw away ideas and half formed plans.
It's a big disappointment since this should be getting people amped for the end.

To be fair, we did see the Fear Spikes freak out Byakuya during the second Quinzy invasion.

If compared with normal people then yes, but it's a fictional story where shinigamy are spirits whose have lived for hundreds of years. I'd say it would be more suprising if those assasins whose trains for purpose of killing their enemies acted like normal people.
Rukia certainly was affected by it, that was just a superficial phrase. I think she acting that way indicates that she's probably grown through fear and used to it, or that she expected for it's effects to be some grave injury and was prepared to die but all it did was just scare her a bit.

Why is it acceptable for Bleach to have the very same flaws you sneer at Naruto for?I already stated my reason why I'm unable to enjoy Naruto. Ninjutsu doesn't work on neither Madara nor TenTails. All techniques are useless. All comes down to talk no jutsu or some lame ass "hope" which isn't reasonable in any way, since there is nothing we know about which could be capable of stopping Madara, except for that justu Saskue was entrusted with. Which would be nothing more than out of blue anticlimatic cliffchanger if he used it and it worked.
-

Does this honestly not remind you of, say, the Aizen fight, even a tiny little bit?
Or will you at least cop to having found that particular part of Bleach poorly done and unenjoyable?

All I could think about during the Blergh chapter:

Arrancar saga indeed was long and tedious, but fights against Aizen weren't nearly as long, he took out his opponents swiftly without messing around, unlike this last arc of Naruto goes for years by entire ninja populaton fighting against just 2 major enemies.
-
All I could think about during the Blergh chapter:
I won't be surprised if As Nodt explodes releasing ink blots as a last resource.

Not all Gotei 13 members are the second division. For most shinigami their job entails sending regular people to the afterlife and yes, defending regular people from monsters. Shinigami also have normal social networks with friends, even families, whom they care for. Things they like, things they hate. In short, they should have emotional ranges comparable to that of humans, and indeed, once upon a time in the series, they had.
And even if there was a canon reason for everyone being blassé and annoyingly, insufferably smug and "Cool" all the time, that doesn't change that to the readers, the characters are blassé and annoyingly, insufferably smug and "Cool" all the time.

Is that so? My opinion is different.
I'm not sure how did you made a stereotype that a killer would act just like normal person, except if you really believe that they're not killers and that their kills are justified as killing "things", not real alive beings. Warriors, fighters, allies or justices or whatever- all that imo is just sugarcoating when that someone kills someone.
Anyway it doesn't take to be killer to lose emotions. Irl work in police deprives inspectors from emotions for having to work in that kind of environment where the real degenerates does the dirty shit. I've been taught that during elementary school from policeman teaching about what's like to work in police.Well, although it doesn't matter for different people have different opinions, but I can try to explain how this works. Basicially the thing is that psychophat is someone who's deprived from ability to empathise with others. To kill someone you have to set up a barieer or other reason which allows for a person to justify killing another person, because otherwise empathy kicks in and makes to feel horrible and responsible for his actions.
Question, don't you feel sick in stomach when seeing a picture of a corpse? Perhabs when that corpse is brutally cut up or even worms have started eating it? Imo answer to this is again empathy, because it's instinct to try to empathise another person when you interact with him. But in case of seeing corpse that causes for you to imagine how to be in such terrible state, making you sick of stomach.
In essence, be in one way or another, but it takes to deprive yourself of empathy and emotions and to become more into a psychopath in order to improve your capability to handle killer's job. -

You seem to have an extremely selective memory.
Hinamori pincushion shenanigans? Chasing around Ichigos friends for the luls? Ring any bells?

I've been taught that during elementary school from policeman teaching about what's like to work in police. The shinigami aren't "killers". Hell, they're not even fulltime "soldiers". Their chief job (soul burial) is more public service than anything, and taking care of Soul Society is administration. And the things they kill? They are tortured abominations, living a painful and wretched existence. By killing hollows the shinigami are doing as good a deed as can be done: Purifying them, ending their hellish time as a family-eating monster and sending them off to soul society.
Like hell anyone in their right mind would lose sleep over cutting down a hollow. And again, you seem to ignore that shinigami have shown perfectly human responses to things; If friends die, they get sad. If someone is an ass, they can get pissed off. Etc.
Bleach isn't Hunter X Hunter; Shinigami aren't emotionally stunted, Kubo is just a shit writer. -

there is no SS characters ever shown to a a PTSD because of their job like a soldier who went to war.. its funny now that somebody actually claimed that they are some sociopathic killers so thats why they don't act like normal human..
-
Great. Now the sociopath discussion is leaking into the Nardo/Bleh thread.
Anyway, not to put a damper on things, but the seiyuu who voiced Yamamoto died today.
He also voiced Toto on One Piece.

Rukia is always on the verge of doing something.
Just like Zeno's paradox.
-
Rukia needs a win really badly, even compared to Renji.
I mean, Rukias track record goes as follows- D. Roy
- Big sand hollow thing
- Tie with Aaroniero
-
No doubt she'll pull off a win against As Nodt with her newly found bankai thanks to the name rater of Bleach. She has to avenge big bro Byakuya who would come to rescue her at a moment's whim if anyone beheaded his precious sis!

Lol at name rater.
Normally, I would say that Rukia won't be able to beat this guy and Byakuya will have to intervene but with all these power spikes and irregularities, who knows. She even wanted to attack fucking Quincy base with Renji alone. How retarded is that? Let's wait for Ichigo maybe? Play it safe? Naaaaaa…
Btw, did Naruto get cancelled or something?

You don't like Naruto for this reason, but you ENJOY Bleach….......?
WHAT?
Perhaps he's saying bleach never had any good points to begin with and thus it couldn't degrade in quality. If he enjoyed bleach chapter 1 or so he'd still enjoy it now. It had some potential up to 30 but that was never utilized.

Some potential? Man, I'm seriously following Bleach from chapter one. Yes, I am probably one of the few people here who reads Bleach weekly in its entire run. Heck, the first series I translated for a polish manga group was Bleach. This series started out GREAT. Say what you want about Naruto and Bleach now, but back in the day? Both of these series kicked serious ass.
To tell the truth? Maybe the beginning of Bleach and Naruto is the reason why these series were more popular than One Piece in other countries. I mean, One Piece is great, but it does have a very different taste to it, it's not a very standard shonen with a lot of cool factor for some time. And don't get me wrong - I love One Piece, I'm just trying to think why some younger people might have a hard time getting into OP. On the other hand - Bleach from chapter one gives us a scary monster and a huge ass sword and Naruto gives us a great kid, the under dog, who suddenly knows one of these legendary techniques and can multiply himself (funny how Kishi dropped the one thing that made Naruto stand out and now everyone and their mother can create multiple real bodies).
I can understand why someone enjoyED Naruto and Bleach. I can't understand why someone tells me now that it's good because everyone has different opinions. Yes, you can like something, but don't try to tell me at the same time that everything is logical and well played. I can get over opinions, but I can't get over bullshit facts.
-

He's also the husband of Masako Nozawa.
As for the chapter, I'm indifferent (except for the stereotypical Quincy). The whole "what is fear" thing has been done multiple times already, and it's worse because this is probably just another throwaway fight; whatever Rukia will learn from this won't matter later on as Kubo will most likely forget about it.
