Chapter 730: "3 Cards"
-
maybe.
-
For all the naysayers, here is proof that big mum isnt on that ship. Do you see that Den Den mushi?
And is that an onion in the background? O_o
-
-
Already past 40 pages in just 2 days (well less ta that considering its just evening)? o.O
That's a lot of pages I've missed!
Anyone commented on how the Big Mom Pirates ship looks similar to the Bonney Pirates ship? Thy both got the 'ship's decks are shaped like cake' thing going on. -
Law's cr3w probably have a Vivre card of their captain with them. By this time they should know Law is dying. I think it wouldn't be crazy at all the Hearth Pirates showing up soon in Dressrosa.
-
And is that an onion in the background? O_o
It better not be Onion, Usopp left him on Gecko islands with Carrot and Pepper ;)
-
-
Wait, so if Law's getting rescued, then does that make him a girl? Cuz you know, only girls get to get rescued from their deep, dark pasts in this series… XP
Seriously though, the whole "mission start" thing with this chapter made me very happy! Lots of things going on with different groups, Fujitora stuff and more battered Law. You can never had enough battered Law... ducks Zachri
-
Was it really 2 days? Didn't the whole BM incident happen during the next morning, after the banquet?
Before the party.
BM –> Banquet --> departure (the day after)

No. Pretty sure Luffy met Pekoms and Tamago after the banquet.
I just don't know if a night passed after chapter 652. Fishman Island was never show at nighttime (does it even have nighttime?).

ya that's where luffy gave them the bomb and treasure

This is a good point. Unless specifically instructed by Law, you would imagine his crew looks at the card, jumps on the ship and begins their rescue mission.

Oh shit you're right, they ate the candies for BM at the banquet after all.
It should have night time as the roots of the Eve tree are catching the sunlight (no sunlight = nighttime on FI) but probably that time remark was intentionally left vague to give Oda a bit of freedom in future time management, I suppose?
-
why does Dofla say i ll give you these brats heads … like fujitora himself cant go after them if he wants to....
-
Big Mom was 3 days away from Fishman Island and only 1 day had passed since.
I really doubt she's there. It would cause a plothole.
hm i reread that, and can we be sure that the teaparty is held at whole cake island?
because so she wouldnt have to be that far away (just in case she really is on board) -

because so she wouldnt have to be that far away (just in case she really is on board)The sweets and crewmembers seemed to be gathering all over there. It wouldn't really make sense to be anywhere else.
I guess it's safe to say that Whole Cake is BM's hideout.
-
why does Dofla say i ll give you these brats heads … like fujitora himself cant go after them if he wants to....
probably because the marines can't enter the coliseum
-

hm well i thought too that its her hideout, but if shes hosting it, it would be normal to assume the party is at her "home" so yeah i think you're right
-
Teach has no reason to turn up as well ri-oh wait D:
Now that we see it Big mom's ship does remind you of Bonney's these two really must be linked.
No idea whether there is a Den Den Mushi or not in that panel with pekom and egg kill us with the suspense Oda. -
why does Dofla say i ll give you these brats heads … like fujitora himself cant go after them if he wants to....
He probably also means all the Pirates that have been turned into toys underground, he may mention that.
-
That's one hell of a huge ship. It's likely Big Mom's flagship, as it certainly appears large enough to carry her with ease.
I wonder why they'd be traveling without her. Perhaps their intent all along was to bring a large fleet of forces to forcibly take Caesar? I'm all goosebumpy.
Not sure why people are still calling her Big Mam, though….
-

Doflamingo holds a lot of influence within the WG. Fujitora is a good guy, it seems, but he is trapped in a corrupted organization and he will have to make a lot of moral decisions from here on

Hopefully we get a part where he makes the moral decision and lets the SH's go at some point.

I was about to mention about Sanji rescuing -err freeing, that is it sounds more manly;) - Usopp & Franky on the sea train when CP9 arrested them .BUUUUT I re-read your comment of " get rescued from their deep, dark pasts in this series… " and knew that scene didn't fit.... but how about when Luffy & Co convince Franky to join the Strawhats? He wouldn't leave due to feeling guilty about Tom so wanted to stay in Water 7. So in way, convincing Franky to join the crew, saying its okay to go follow his dream, had saved Franky from his past.
why does Dofla say i ll give you these brats heads … like fujitora himself cant go after them if he wants to....
Because with the revelation that Doflo is still a shichbukai and ruler of Dressrosa, it means Dressrosa is Doflo's turf.
We saw back in Arbastra that the marines can't just ignore the ruler of the island.
By that I a referring to the scene after the battle, some marines are trying to get the guards to let them search the Royal Palace for the wanted criminals = the Strawhat Pirates. The guards refuse to let the MArines into the palace. This shows that MArines have to show deference to the ruler when that country is still a member of the World Government.
As the Strawhats are on Dressrosa, the ruler there, Doflo, has first dibs on the criminals that caused trouble in his kingdom. -

That's probably what's going to happen. There's no way they can avoid both doflamingo and fujitora. Zoro can hold him but not beat him, fujitora will do as aokiji did in the past and let them go. He already has a lot of pirates in dressrosa that can be brought to impel down.

Doflamingo does not want the Strawhats involved. So i guess there may be a way out with something having to do with that.
-
I think Fujitora will turn towards the end of this arc when he sees that the true evil is coming from Doflamingo. Once the secrets of him being a broker come out with the experiments on kids and artifical fruits and human trafficking and the whole king riku thing, his Shichibukai status won't hold off Fujitora anymore.

It's funny. I always say to myself "Why does the WG even put up with him anymore? With all the shit he's done and does." Then I remember they don't know.

Yeah, I agree. Everything seems to point to Luffy or Luffy and someone else beating Doflamingo and then Fujitora cleaning up the mess.

I think people are forgetting that there are multiple types of Justice. Just like Lazy Justice(aokiji), Absolute Justice(akainu), and Unclear Justice(kizaru). It's likely that Fujitoro has his own personal brand of Justice. Maybe Moral Justice? I dunno but I don't think Fujitoro will "turn" in any way. Like the other Admirals he clearly has his own way of handling things and we'll simply see how his way plays out over the course of the arc. His opening attack of a meteor on both Law and Doflamingo shows that he doesn't consider Doflamingo a true ally anyway, his dealings with him and the SHs are just part of his job.
-
So…...what's gonna happen to the tournament? Is somebody gonna get the Mera Mera fruit? Well, there goes BB with another powerful fruit lol
-
I just want some instructions on how to cook some delicious turtle meat.
First of all you need to figure out a way to force the meat out of the shell, this means a way to separate the turtle from his shell then you cook it or you pound on it for awhile to make it nice and soft, then you good to fry it…
--- Update From New Post Merge ---
If Big Mom's crew follows Sanji and co., I have a feeling they could meet up with the Heart Pirates and then it turns into two crews against one, with BM's ships leaving unless they have a lot more commanders than just 3-4 (or two).
But this will make Big mom to send her beasts to destroy/burn Zou…

He's got Blind Justice.
Lady Justice is often depicted with a blindfold so as not to taint her opinion of legal matters with prior notions of suspects/convicts. In this way justice can truly be impartial, and without bias. Justice is duled out without fear/favour or any consideration of status/wealth/power.
Fujitora has demonstrated this objectivity by the fact that he treated the SH's as people who aided a blind man, without gain for themselves, and not as notorious pirates with bounties. That is why Fujitora decided for neither of them to learn each other's name, so that he wouldn't be obligated to deal with them, because in his blind eyes the SH's were kind hearted people who selflessly helped him out.
Fujitora just might be my favorite Admiral.
As for mysteries, one I'm eager to discover is the status of Law's crew, and why they were separated in the first place.

-
mine too. he's really awesome.
Mainly because of the idea that he judges people based on his own personal experiences with them, and not based on how society/other people define them.
His lack of sight truly is liberating.
-
Haha Zoro fanboys are hilarious. Zoro would be lucky to get out of this arc with a win against Bastille or Pica, the fact that Fujitora was holding back and still managed to make Zoro useless should tell you Zoro has no shot of even fighting him on even terms, let alone beat him this arc.
In other news, a Sanji+Bepo vs Tamago+Pekoms 2v2 please.
Mainly because of the idea that he judges people based on his own personal experiences with them, and not based on how society/other people define them.
His lack of sight truly is liberating.
In a way, even though Fujitora is physically blind, his judgement makes him the least blind character on the island. Definitely has the most depth among the elite fighters so far.

@krule274:
No way in hell are the WB pirates showing up.
Were you expecting the Big mom pirates to show up?
-
I really wish whoever did the mangastream translations sourced their art instead of blatantly stealing it, that last piece is incredible.
not to mention the chapter itself was amazing. It's time to kick some ass, yeah!!
-
I wonder if the treasure with the hidden bomb, that Baron Tamago took from fishman island, is still with him in his ship…
-
Were you expecting the Big mom pirates to show up?
The novelty starts to wear off if more big shots kept appearing left and right.
The plot would become hard to keep track of and unnecessarily overloaded with characters (in fact, it already is).
-
Can't Sanji just pull a Mr. Prince, activate the bomb and blow up the ship easily? Does he know about the bomb?
-
Can't Sanji just pull a Mr. Prince, activate the bomb and blow up the ship easily? Does he know about the bomb?
He doesn't. Only Minister of the Right and King Neptune.
-
Can't Sanji just pull a Mr. Prince, activate the bomb and blow up the ship easily? Does he know about the bomb?
I'm pretty sure Neptune and whatshisface didn't tell any of the SHs. Thought it would be too much bad news for one day or something idiotic like that.
-
Well… It could still happen on accident... Or something...
-
Luffy should have try to break the wall.
i have the same thought but this crossed my mind.
sorry for my bad sketchup skills. haven't used sketchup for over a year -.-

blind justice :ninja:
-
The Sanji and co already used Coup d burst when they escaped from Doflamingo, that's 3 barrels of cola and Franky and Usopp is the only ones who fills up those cola barrels. So unless there are another 3 full barrels of cola then the Sanji and co shouldn't be able to use coup d burst again…
-
maybe the wall is built like this?
That would be smart planning on Dofla's part, but if that much of it is readily available to underworld pirates then there is really no excuse for the marines who invented the stuff to not be spamming seastone bullets all over the damn place.

It's actually really hard to get "your hands on seastone". This was mentioned already.
