A fantastic chapter! :)
And omg, its so freaking hilarious to see Robin doing another face fault! XD

If Pica vs Franky is a thing, then I might just die. Like that.
Also, Burgess showing his skills. I want to see Blackbeard's crewmembers using their abilities, I really can't agree with the ones who prefer them being completely misterious, it wouldn't take any emotion away for me to see them showcase them before their clash with the Strawhats.
@.access:
I think that yes, you are.
I mean, look how big his crew is: Doffy, Diamante, Trébol, Pica, Senor Pink, Dellinger, Machvise, Lao G, Jora, Baby 5, Buffalo, Violet, Monet, Vergo, eyepatch girl.
Ignoring the nameless fodder and allies who are not actually part of the crew (like Ceasar and Bellamy), we have a group of 15!
Even for upcoming fights that's a lot. Monet and Vergo are out, Violet left the group, I doubt Jora will fight again and knowing Oda I don't think the eyepatch kid will do any fight. We are still left with 11 enemies.
the fights alone aren't even the reason im disappointed….Doflamingo is a big underground broker, supplying weapons and other things to other pirates, countries and whoever else for a possibility of little less than 10 years or so. Monet is on punk hazard, vergo in the marines, diamante in charge of the Colosseum, whoever in charge of the weapons factory, and what other business he has going on.
some of these things ofcourse can be done by the low ranking lackeys but then some will need stronger enforcers and the likes of baby 5 and buffalo dont seem all that powerful(could be too early an assumption). I was just of the thought he'd have more powerful officers and if not officers powerful allies similar to maybe Ceasar.
p.s. im not implying he doesnt have strong officers, just that this number seems to be stretching the network thin.
robins face <- was the best part for me xD
yes.
i mean, there are 9 of them, plus the 3 seats + doflamingo..there are more than enough bad guys in this arc
as i said above, its not just about the arc but the network doflamingo's apparently built.
Two Robin Face-Faults in the same chapter? And on the same page, no less. I don't think that's ever happened before…
After seeing the eyepatch girl being part of the original arrival crew, I'm thoroughly convinced that she is the toymaker. Why else would he have a kid around in his operation?
Chapter is out.
thank you!
also those creepy kids haven't aged one bit and Lao-G's outfit…it's horrendously fabulous
It seems like the only person who hasn't changed since the flashback is that little girl with the fruit on Dofla's knee in PH. I'm thinking she is the toy user, Trebol's weird body also turning people to toys makes me think he is a logia. I think Dofla keeps this girl's power hidden, a little girl (who seemingly doesn't age) that makes toys makes a lot of sense imho.
That not true other than dellinger and baby 5 all the others look the same none of them appear to have aged a bit.
@kuma:

They've obviously aged dude. It's just adults don't change as much….this is like kindergarten level human biology.
thank you!

Horrendously fabulous? More like fabulously fabulous :I
EDIT: Never got to say it, but I have gotten to like Coribou with this cover story. That's a good brother right there.

Lao is clearly younger. Jora looks way different.

I don't see that much change either, aside from Jora. Also no need to mock everything you disagree with!
The little girl is the only one who hasn't aged. Dellinger is obviously older, his hair is different and he has an earring and older face.
this is such a great double page
!
My prediction is that the kids of doflamingos crew are the toy makers

Dellinger is clearly a young adult or older now, not a kid.
Best crew ever,
I like all of them and everything about them designs, lunacy and on top of that probably almost every member has a devil fruit,
but I miss snow woman and burgerface they have to be alive
Hope I am the first for the following theory:
Monosuke vs Eyepatch girl
Nah Bellamy is gonna turn sides in next chapter from DD to SH. He is gonna tell DD's plans to Luffy.
i don't think he'll switch that easily. He might have changed (personality) but not change sides. Remember, even if Doflamingo thrashed him at Jaya, he still went to sky island and gave Doffy gold just to take him back (or something like that). And now, he joined the tournament so he can be an officer. Pretty sure he'll try to assassinate Luffy first.

Momonosuke is a 8-year old kid, I don't think he can do much in battle…
This chapter was epic
I don't know which was better.
The spreads of Doflamingo and his minions strolling through, taking the country up for grabs
Or Usopp, Franky, AND Robin all looking completely horrified. Seriously, I can laugh at that panel all day.
Holy shit that power is scary, people will be left king-less in one country without knowing they ever had a king, if a strawhat is hit with that power the crew will forget he ever existed, flamingo have the power to simply erase someone from existence/history ;_; the quest is, does HE remember?

Yeah but is he dumb enough to try to attack Luffy and Zoro?
I'm hoping he fights with Luffy though.
What are we going to see next? I'm so bored now block D haha it just doesn't compare to all the other action going on.
Rebecca suuuuuuux
I'm pretty sure we're just going to end up seeing a beat up and bloodied law with Doflamingo standing over him saying something condescending. Someone said something about having law turned into a toy, that would be really interesting.
What if Fuji himself stops the dwarf rebellion? He could do it if he wanted to.
Damn, Pica is huuuuuuge.
Seeing all of the Donquixote Pirates lined up makes me anxious for their upcoming fights.
Nice to see Monet make an appearance and Vergo got name dropped. Doflamingo must have planned this takeover for months, if not longer.
And Bellamy's trying to creep up on Luffy. Looks like we're about to see a repeat of that famous Jaya one-hit KO scene. lol
The Robin moment is not the face fault. Which was good, of course. It was the pannel with the thought bubble. That has the potential to be HUGE.
Right now I think I have a prediction: We'll have (finally!!!) a chapter named "The sixth" during this arc.
Oda won't add a fucking thought bubble comprised of nothing but "….." and a "!" at the end. Nothing more. That, coming from the character who was part of a similar scheme done by an equaly terrible villain (Crocodile), that almost overthrow an entire kingdom, and that, so far, hasn't had any redemption for that particularly evil period of her life (she freaking pinned King Cobra to a door. She didn't hold any fucking guns back then).
If this doesn't give us a huge Nico Robin scene after not one, but TWO moments where she's given the spotlight (the second being the super very obvious "I won't forgive Doflamingo!" pannel), then I surrender.
Again, I'm doing my bet here: "the sixth" is coming. (Last arc I said "The Fifth" was coming when Chopper would cure all the children of their deseases, but it was all done by Law off-screen, so I did fuck that up. . .)
The chapter, good stuff. Super hyped for next week (Bellamy!).

This is otherwise a really good prediction, but you're forgetting the fact that Oda doesn't do character development for existing characters anymore.

They both looked the same age and were together
Epic chapter.i loved robins expression.i hope this arc is getting to its climax,im curious about the next island

A bet is a bet, Mr. Toraish, meaning I could perfectly screw up. But I think I have semi-solid "evidence" (¿?¿?¿?)
Oda purposedly left Robin (and Chopper) out of the numbered chapters. He did Nami's like 80 chapters after she entered the crew. Usopp, like 300+ chapters after he entered the crew. When Usopp and Franky got finally "numbered" in the same chapter ("The 3rd and the 7th"), Oda left Robin out, who got through the same situation as Usopp at the same exact time.
We've been all wondering why Dofla's scheme and Croco's scheme is so similar. Robin, part of Croco's coup d'etat, has 1 pannel where she's wondering something we don't know; and another where, if we take it from Usopp's reaction, she acted in a surprising way, or at least in a way Usopp didn't expect. Robin doesn't have a "numbered" chapter yet.
I'm betting Oda is setting somehing with Robin with BOTH the aforementioned points. If you wanna bet on the opposite, let's do this. Think of something embarrasing for the loser, and we're set!
They both looked the same age and were together
What? Loli looks the same either because she's a midget or some DF effect but Dellinger the Shota Cow certainly looks like he's gotten older in the face to me.

Which suggests something about the little girl.
Dellinger is undeniably a young man in that one panel we saw.
Y'know, just like Rebecca.

Keep this pedophile shit out of AP. Thanks.
No we don't care if it's ironic or not.

Why would I bet against something that I really hope happens? :P
I'm just saying, I don't trust Oda with anything that is not directly related to the final confrontation anymore. He's gotten too sloppy with his main cast recently and it's hurting the overall quality of the arcs they feature in pretty bad. It's like he spent so long writing other world building related stuff with ID and Marineford that he completely forgot how to handle the small scale adventures that he excelled at earlier on.

Huh.
The fish on his hat changed from Goldfish to Fighting Fish, and the pattern on his shirt slowly but surely crept up all the way up to his neck over 10 years.

There's no ill intent and I think I'll type what I please.
Huh.

Probably no connection at all but I just realized he has that same pattern Law seems to be fond of.
The toy thing is really huge. Considering Dofla could have done tournaments or events like this in the past, I'm hoping that when the toy situation is reversed, some big names could come up from the victims, like well known pirates/marines/bounty hunters that people had forgotten about.
Its almost touching to see Caribou do something admirable for once in his life. I knew that Little Girl in DD's crew was not a child; I really hope to see her het a fight against a Strawhat and get her ass kicked. That is messed up that Chinjao forgot his own Grankinds; that ability is messed up. It is awesome to see Robin make an actual face fault for once; the res of the crew is starting to rub off on her…...finally. Lastly, its a miracle that Bartolomeo actually came through and Bellamy is sneaking up.......cant wait to see where that goes.
Kinda funny how Pica looks more fitting to be a Colosseum hero than Diamante.
Hmmm Doflamingo's crew certainly has one of the most diverse looks among most organization within the OP universe that has been shown as of so far (heck even strictly based on scale/height/age). My gripe with it though is there has been remarkably VERY little interaction so far between the members together which is quite a shame. There has been a lot of Baby 5 moments where she interacts with other crew members where we get some grasp of their personalities, but it is a shame we only got very little of that (YET).
I am really crossing my fingers that we'll eventually get those great Baroque-Works esque moments where we learn who has gripes against whom, how their personalities rub off against each other, and ultimately give them an life as an overall crew (which Oda is generally good at). Though I'm going to assume he is holding this off due to the overall setup of this arc (Considering how we recently learned Gladius's name, saw what Pica looks like, and still don't know the small girl's name).
Well I will give my opinion on the chapter.
About that Violet is the daughter of King Riku surprised me, that means that Rebecca is his niece and that was the reason because Violet hit a shot to the screen.
Doflamingo all a psychopath and a genius at once. He acts how Tenryuubito and Pirate to he nevermind nothing, while he (only cares about his nakamas).
Was very sad about Violet had to go to a band where she didn't want stay, just to protect his family, a little bit similar to Vivi and Crocodile. Don Chinjao that part talking to the King the truth gave me a chill, have grandchildren and not be able remember why they were turned into toys, there is nothing stronger than that. What is happening in Dressrosa is too strong, it is a country that conceals the trash and people just look at the good there is in him.
Now i understand better because user turns people into toys is the key character for confrontation with Doflamingo and no doubt that Luffy and the others will help to defeat Doflamingo. Finally showed to Pica, had a hunch what he had a armor, but now we know his shoulders are so, really well Oda drawing the villains in this arc good bestial designs. Bellamy not think it's so foolish as to to attack Luffy. If before the two years, he lost against Luffy for a K.O i cannot imagine what would happen now.
Surely the next chapter we will see fight Doflamingo and Law.
Greetings.
Heck, where is Pica this entire time?
Diamante is keeping Luffy busy, Trebol is turning the loser into toys, Doflamingo is taking care of Law, and….
Pica is probably in some office somewhere doing accountant work and managing all the paperwork on Smiles, slaves, weapons, country data, etc...
Hm Pica looks different than he did in 700
he's wearing an armor now and his arms look way smaller…

That happens all the time; characters only shown as silhouettes change design before they're actually shown.

Factory head, most likely. Especially if that's where Franky is heading.

well at least for the armor and the new spike on his shoulder, it could just be his change over the last 10 years
Damn, Pica is huuuuuuge.
I tried to ignore it, but after this sentence, I think I need to say this: Pica is a slang for penis in Brazil
Think he's a cybrog like Franky or he was just born with those shoulders?
Think he's a cybrog like Franky or he was just born with those shoulders?
my first thoughts on this were implants^^
but for real
i dont think he's a cyborg
apart from the pacifistas franky always seemed unique and way ahead of their time like vegapunk
I don't understand the reaction faces…
