it seems someone 'quoting' a Ohana post…not the original post....

-
It's fake, Ohana has not yet appeared on 2ch, the trip code is different and also she post the ToC only in Naruto thread.

pretty much what i suspected….

Haha great cover, pretty cute.
-
That's one awesome cover zoro and sanji's stir down made it more hilarious.
-
I love how Luffy's drawing is so crappy.
I was initially surprised at that top 5, until I noticed One piece, Soma and Assclass were all having colour pages. Also lol at Bleach dropping further down the ranks into the bottom 5
-
haha , thats funny. at the bottom - Edison, that nobody likes, Cross Manage that is going to be axed very soon and Bleach. awesome work, Kubo Tite
-
Um oh whoa.
From the TOC page…. according to Kishimoto, Oda was drawing next chapters while he was bedridden in the hospital.
Kishi saw the pages at the hospital room... so I guess he went to check up on Oda at the hospital.Bakuman much?
-
That was probably the first thing I thought of when the news was posted.
-
Please let Toriko´s next color cover be the Bishokukai please let Toriko´s next color cover be the Bishokukai please let Toriko´s next color cover be the Bishokukai.
I need Limon´s colors so badly. -
So Bleach is bottom 4 again eh ?
Also I was under the impression Edison was already over ?
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
Also Oda is simply amazing.
-
Nah, Edison's got a ways to go before it's over yet. About 8 weeks, I'd say.
World Trigger's not doing bad this week, but… Man... C'mon... Do better....
-
Why isn't Naruto lower? Oh well, poor Bleach though, seems no matter what Kubo does can't be fixed in Japan's eyes.

Haha yeah, it's even funnier because that scene from Bakuman might be inspired by 17 years old Oda drawing his Wanted! one shot in the hospital room after he got into a car accident.

You make it sound like Bleach's been good as of late

@Devil:
You make it sound like Bleach's been good as of late
In my opinion, while it still has flaws it is much better and more enjoyable than naruto.
-
In my opinion, while it still has flaws it is much better and more enjoyable than naruto.
My head hurts everytime I see this, people who say it have to be Bleach fans, because it really isn't comparable, I can enjoy a Naruto chapter once in a while, Bleach I just can't.
Might be just personal opinion but the gap is so big in my mind in terms of awfulness that it doesn't seem so.
-
Honestly, neither Naruto or Bleach are that good.
I find Bleach to have too many forgettable/uninteresting side characters who seem to only show up once every year or 2.
As for Naruto, the side characters were actually interesting but they pretty much vanished after the time skip. For example,
! Kinda hard to care about Neji's death when the last time you seen him do anything more than just a one chapter cameo was like 4-5 years ago.
-
Bleach is all flash. If you pretend you don't know what happened in previous chapters, they're not half bad.
Naruto is just boring.
-

Naruto is just boring.
Exactly this. Bleach is decent as long as you NEVER re-read the series in bulk.
-
I'm actually enjoying Naruto right now. Bleach I'll pick up where I left off later.
-
Redundant comparison, but of the two I'm more into Naruto right now, just caus the team seven stuff is doing well to give a sense of finality to everything. Bleach is more like… ooh... metal gear slid 4? you know, all skittishly tying off loose ends whilst adding confusing stuff and junk.
-
Bah! I don't come here for Naruto and Bleach bashing!!!! I come here for pomeranian gifs!!!!!!

And so we're all cured of what ails us. Just in time too, because I've gotta sit here and drool about how much I'm liking Smoky B.B. again. Still nailing it this week.
-
With Sket Dance's volume 32 being the last (source), I guess we have 4-6 chapters left.
I wonder if Cross Manage and Edison may end around the same time so that we get another round of 3 new manga.
-
i'm pretty sure by climax they mean the final story, unless that lst volume is shaman king-esque in thickness
edit: oh waiit only 5 chapters are uncollected? yeah no this makes perfect sense as the actual last one hurray
-
wtf!! who would say Bleach is better than Naruto?? Naruto has great chibi drawn characters with hilarious dialogue and a fantastic Bruce Lee homage as the main character….. unless your talking about that other Naruto spin off series, then I guess there pretty much even

Looks like One Piece will have another short hiatus and be absent from issue 30.

I so agree with that first statement. But, am I being subconsciously influenced by the username? O.o

Compairing Naruto and Bleach nowadays is as productive as compairing shit you have stepped in. The colour and texture may be deifferent, but you can't escape the fact you will have to wash your shoes afterwards.

Beelzebub being so low, under Sket Dance, is very worrysome.
SD is ending very soon, so it should be towards the bottom.. anything below it is really struggling.Soma consistently being high up is awesomesauce. It fully deserves, it.
And wow, SAIKI on the lead CP!? Congrats Asou, man he's come a long way.–- Update From New Post Merge ---

Oda should take couple of months breaks at one go and back with full health….
he will definitely overexcite himself if they allow him to work...i doubt they can convince him 'take it easy' at this stage...so better force him off the work for sometimes and send him to a vacation....

Like every week, always great to see my favourite manga (OP, Souma and Kuroko) doing well.
About Sket Dance ending soon, I just hope a continuation of the anime is announced before it's over. Otherwise, I fear we will never get it.

I don't think you even understand how this works.
225k for first volume when there's only two out is freaking amazing.I mean like really amazing. Like Death Note level amazing.
In fact as far as I know, in all the comic releases in Japan in the past several years, AC and Silver Spoon is the only ones with such a high sale start. -
If Oda is really that sick, I would absolutely support taking a whole month off, or even more.
Just read this, though published on May 21st, it still made me sad:
In a previous interview, Oda once described his usual workday: "I get up at 5am, and I work until 2am. It's normal for me to sleep from 2am to 5am." He added, "I have no days off. If I had them, I'd want to go on vacation with my family. I just want to go outside, it doesn't matter where. See, I don't get out much."

Give this man a vacation

Why does Bleach rank so low?Sure our diagnose is that it sucks, but same is true for Naruto,bu it continues ending up in the top 5.
So what's the reason behind Bleach's fall in popularity?
-
Why does Bleach rank so low?Sure our diagnose is that it sucks, but same is true for Naruto,bu it continues ending up in the top 5.
So what's the reason behind Bleach's fall in popularity?
easy: naruto is at its climax and brought a lot of fan favorites back so more folks are paying attention to it. bleach has been a dragfest so it has been riding on the bottom.
-
Why does Bleach rank so low?Sure our diagnose is that it sucks, but same is true for Naruto,bu it continues ending up in the top 5.
So what's the reason behind Bleach's fall in popularity?
Because like I've been saying, contrary to popular belief around here that bunch them together, Bleach is 10x more awful than Naruto but then we have cool series like Beelzebub at he bottom for months.
-
Why does Bleach rank so low?Sure our diagnose is that it sucks, but same is true for Naruto,bu it continues ending up in the top 5.
So what's the reason behind Bleach's fall in popularity?
eh!Bleach is actually doing good….in 2011-2012 it regularly ranked in the bottom half, close to bottom 5...had Souma,AC,PSI debuted back then it would have been regular to bottom 5.....
Naruto only suffering in ranking now due to the popularity of new mangas...until 2012 it kept it's top 3 positions most of the weeks....Naruto never alienated it's core fan base...it's yearly sale remained more or less intact...in 2011 it sold 6.5m+,in 2012 6m+ and this year too it is close to 3m in half yearly estimation...while Bleah steadily lost it's fanbase...
my analyisis is Kubo's too frequent erratic plotlines went to the point of disgusting to the matured fan who had grown up with it...Naruto's main plotline(Naruto chasing Sasuke) remained same, though became silly more often than not...but Kishi always managed to introduced interesting new characters..like Raikage and Co.,old man Tsuchikage,Danzo, then trollkage(2nd mizukage) in the war arc, finally Madara....even he made great characterisation of Madara-Hashi friendship(some of which lost in bad translation)and Tobirama's maturity...so mediocre main-story was often shielded from great protagonists and antagonists(and their side stories).....so most of the older fans remain with..
Kubo lost in this ground heavily...his new characters have had very little to no attraction..... -
In fact as far as I know, in all the comic releases in Japan in the past several years, AC and Silver Spoon is the only ones with such a high sale start.
Didn't Bakuman start off with high sales too?
-
Why does Bleach rank so low?Sure our diagnose is that it sucks, but same is true for Naruto,bu it continues ending up in the top 5.
So what's the reason behind Bleach's fall in popularity?
Bleach has never reached the same popularity Naruto has. In fact, "the big three", this tired concept that western fandom tried to cling for some reason until today, is pretty much just a myth.
Bleach always stood at the upper middle tier of succesful Shueisha manga, let alone the whole manga industry. It reached its peak of popularity somewhere late 2008/early 2009 barely not making it over the 1 million sold copies with volumes 36 and 37. Never again has it reached such numbers and was on a gradual decline ever since up until the end of the Aizne fight were it had a local peak with volume 48. It was a logical point to finish the story but Noriaki-kun decided otherwise. The new Fullbring arc was received without any sort of excitement, and the decline of Bleach changed from gradual to an exponential one, reaching an all time low with volume 52. Afterwards, with the start of the new, supposedly last arc, its situation became more stable, but the lost part of the fandom was already gone for good - Bleach sales comfortably stopped somewhere around the 600 000 copies a volume.

The average sales numbers for its volumes reach 1 200 000 copies. There was a low point when it dropped below the million line with volume 58, but has recovered afterwards. Over the years, Kishimoto kept moving his story forward while keeping the attention of his fanbase - even if at the price of abandoning his earlier themes, characters and concepts.! ●NARUTO

Naruto has an ongoing series that doesn't catch up with the manga by doing lengthy filler arcs and gets decent rating. Bleach had a series for years as well, but it was much harder to maintain due to the density of its material - the chapter/episode ratio didn't allow to have a reasonable distance between the ongoing manga and anime. Its fillers wasn't as successful as well, and ratings were low as a result. So the anime series was cancelled, or stopped if you prefer, and it had some influence on the franchise popularity as a whole.Because like I've been saying, contrary to popular belief around here that bunch them together, Bleach is 10x more awful than Naruto but then we have cool series like Beelzebub at he bottom for months.
That's an elegant way to refute your own point.
