No Naruto? Kishimoto missed a week of serialization no less than a month or so ago. Who does he think he is, Togashi?
not even close…..

Kishi went over to Togashi's house to ask him to take HxH from hiatus. He never returned.
Ryuuken pinning the maid to the wall was weird. I've only ever seen that pose followed up with making out so I wasn't sure where that was going lol.

WHY DID YOU SELL MASAKI OUT?!SMOOCH SMOOCH
…and this arc is still only quarter as abominably slow as Nardo's war!

It's kishi's policy to steal "borrow" from hxh whenever he's lost. e.g. Hunter exams, nen system and the nen affinity water test.

LOL. That was a good one.

Porn logic.
"I sell Masaki - FUCK ME RIGHT?"
Kubo Becaming an EroMangaka
Huh, it looked like he was about to punch her really hard from my end. I blame my lack of kissing experience.
The serious answer for no Naruto this week is that Kishi mentioned in last week's ToC comment that he was working on a one shot for Jump SQ.

kishi and serious should not be uttered in same breath And as for bleach this week: if i wanted to watch days of our lives I'd watch days of our lives
It's a shame there were no walls around, for I'm sure that Ryuuken would furiously pin Isshin against it just like that.
uh guys when did this HAPPEN in the anime?
Seriously i'm curious.

That would mean dropping Masaki on the ground….Which would be hilarious.

Its from the final episode of the Rock Lee anime, and its fuckin beautiful. Not just the whole final episode, but the series as a whole lol
Naruto was really good this week. I hope this keeps up.

Why is Sasuke shining in that situation? And does Lee kick his ass?
It's probably been discussed before, but if Ryuuken marries his cousin to keep up the quincian pure bloodline kickin', then that means there are no quincy women present. And that means their kids would be forced to marry each other.
Looks like Ichigo piercing Ishida with his sword back then is some sort of mix between teenage rebellion againts adults' will and subliminal courting. Like pulling the braids and ass slapping. You bet Kubo will try to somehow write these innuendos in his interviews.
And that means Buckbeard is Aizen's father. Man, what a twist!
Why is Sasuke shining in that situation? And does Lee kick his ass?
I can only assume Sasuke turned into a Vampire and Lee is trying to slay him.

It was some silly jutsu that causes anyone who touches him with chakra to explode so only taijutsu could be used
So about the bleach it was really slow paced and it's obvious that the condition is to heal the wound using all of your power. So isshin gives up his shinigami abiltiy to save her.

I don't get how you just stop being a Shinigami and revert to being human. Kubo really needs to just come out and say that theres two types of Shinigami.
Good Story goes bad? are you talking about naruto or bleach
Blah, boring Bleach. But, I'm generally confused as to why Ryuken was angry at Isshin. "Oh, she tried to save you on her own and got hurt because of it. If I had the chance, I'd totally kill you and completely negate the purpose for which she was hurt in the first place.."
…Yeah, anyway, off to read Glib's blog post.

I think he was more mad at Isshin for being bad enough at his job that he had to get get saved by her. Resulting in her injury. Although I'm inclined to agree. A captain with hundreds of years worth of experience failing so terribly? And for some reason this human girl with a spirit bow can take down this monster? Makes him look even worse.
Although everyone was to blame. She should have not used such a stupid strategy. Isshin was sucking. And Ryuuken just stood there watching.
So yeah… Naruto's Opening 13 is pretty awesome.
Riruka was actually the only Fullbringer not to have been born of a human mother, instead forming within the bowels of Lucifer himself.
I can't help myself imagining this being written by Robert E.O Speedwagon himself.
Did anyone see Road to Ninja?
It was pretty standard and meh-ful.

So….not nearly as much humor is brought out of the personality swaps as we'd hoped?
I saw it with my friends on the cinema just last week.
Aaand it's a complete waste of good money. Aside from the plotholes, like why should the Akatsuki even exist on the first place, the movie was a bore. Sakura and the whole Konoha being useless again, and the climax fight was just two Kyuubis firing big balls of destruction at each other. The only thing I kinda liked were the reversed personalities of the Konoha 11 (Shino being talkative was the best), and those were just like spent on what 10 minutes?
Oh well, I did have a good time shouting Sasuke-kun at the theater haha.

He's not blaming Isshin for incompetence, he's just displacing his blame towards himself and generally irrationally reacting to Masaki's condition. It's not logical, it's just human.
So yeah… Naruto's Opening 13 is pretty awesome.
Oh, this is rich. Please, do tell, why is the opening "awesome"? Because it shows character who do nothing in the series standing and doing nothing in the opening? It's just the same artistic bullshit that really doesn't add anything, I spend about one minute of the opening watching hands in the air, characters standing, not animated at all, or just someone walking. Maybe I don't watch enough weeboo stuff, but is this really considered an "awesome" opening for a shonen title?
I quit Naruto and Bleach. I can't stand to see once good series be degraded this badly. We wll have more flashbacks in Naruto, Sasuke will be manipulated by Madara again and as for Bleach Ichigo will save the day instead of Ishida, who will be beaten by some crappy "quinshie". That is all. I refuse to be the tortured partially nostalgic fan but nor will I transformed into a monstrous anti-fan.
@Friend:

That's why I only read Rock Lee's Springtime of Youth
Too bad no one ever bothered to make a proper Don Kanonji spin-off.

Are we talking about the same opening with the 5 hokage fighting madara?
The animation and song is pretty awesome.
Which opening are you talking about?
So, which do you all think is doing better, Naruto or Bleach?

and the producer made sakura more useless than usual, considering there is no another personality of her in that world.
I think naruto should be helped by konoha 11 in the final fight, but they choose akatsuki instead.

and also a decent singer too (the one who sing 2nd opening of FMA:B)
So, which do you all think is doing better, Naruto or Bleach?
Naruto. At least it has the occasional good moments mixed in with the bad ones (not so much lately, though) - Bleach is just so bland that I've become completely apathetic towards it.

Sigh, and Bleach used to be my favorite too :(
Looks like Shonen's enjoying the new One Piece, Naruto, and Toriko as the big three.
Man Bleach sucks. The chapter this week was so boring and I'm pretty sure Kubo just gives up. If I were him I'd do some craaaazy shit with Bleach now. He doesn't have much to lose.
Naruto's better. With Naruto I at least sort of care about what's going to happen to the characters and how it will all be resolved.
Bleach could end tomorrow and I could care less.
A bit more expanded:
Are we talking about the same opening with the 5 hokage fighting madara?
The animation and song is pretty awesome.
Which opening are you talking about?
I love this and how visually inspired it is.
@Retro: I think I will watch the Rock Lee anime just because of those 33 seconds. Was that Gundam versions of Kakashi and Gai I saw? That was nearly Frankie Supaaaaaa! levels of cool! Also if I can see Rock Lee kick the shit out of Sasuke the series would be worth it and possibly heal the hurt of reading Naruto for the past like 3 years (from the exact point Itachi and Jiraiya died pretty much, more or less excluding some Raikage and co awesomeness).
I dropped the Rock Lee manga yesterday alongside other manga not becuse it was bad because it's amazing I just think I would prefer the anime.

This is what happens when I believe YouTube and watch "Naruto opening 13" and it turns out to be an ending. Yeah, I fucked up, sorry for the rant.
@Friend:

You dropped the manga? As anyone in this thread will tell you, that's a bad call. The only advantage that the anime has over the manga is that it's, well, animated (and voiced). Other than that, some of the original episodes were not up to par with the writing that the manga offers and they didn't even faithfully adapt some of the chapters that they did get around to animating.
There's also the fact that the anime keeps reminding you that this is a NARUTO spin-off, by constantly shoving his royal "Dattebayo"-ness is your face (though it does lessen as time goes on). This is painfully apparent in some of the chapter-based episodes where Guy played a major part (like training Lee to fight Neji), because they have Naruto take his place in the plot; I don't think I need to go into detail as to why those were irksome changes. Now, this isn't a "the anime sucks!" post, because I definitely enjoyed it and miss it, but dropping the manga in favor of the anime is not a good move. If you can have your cake and eat it too, then why not do so?
Basically: Manga>Anime, but you should enjoy both…
So…why are people harping on the Bleach chapter? Interesting stuff happened. The only complaint I hear is about the pacing, but it was actually much better than Bleach usually is. This is what I mean when I say you guys are only looking for flaws.
@Aru:

It's cool, I was just really confused.
That tree thing Naruto's carrying is like a tree of souls or something like that right?
I know the lanterns are for honoring ancestors. Which I guess makes sense in this case because of the rinnegan?

Whatever, it looks dope. I kinda want a gif of Gaara surfing through the fireballs and Raikage punching Susanoo, but it'll be a long while until I see a creditless version.
I like the part with the Mizukage blowing.
Really good animation.
I will give the anime a try because I wanna see flowing action, and I am busy with other manga so yeah that's me done. From the naruto and bleach manga, but I might come in here to see what's happening now and again.
