Now that Aokiji isn't a marine anymore, he might be just wandering about with his belongings. Now that is goal isn't "absolute justice" he might sway his direction to the SHs. If you want someone to save the alliance from Donflamingo itd be Aokiji, so that he gets to see his Robin prediction played out. He might want to challenge the gov't with Saul's version of justice. I think there's a lot to Aokiji so I wouldn't be suprised if that silhouette is him going back to Punk Hazard for some reason or another.
Mihawk? Aokiji? A new character?
Those two are the first ones that popped into my head. Idk why I would thihnk of Mihawk though, it really looks nothing like him.
@The:
My personal opinion is that none of SH (except Luffy) have the bounty that deserve and not just cause the time skip
Robin's bounty should go way up, at least, for what she learned about Joy Boy on Fishman Island. I'd say at least 200,000,000. Knowledge is a dangerous thing.

It's not like the marines know that she knows about it.

I know. This would be assuming if they did. You'd think they would have installed Den Den Mushi Surveillance cams in those Poneglyphs.

Oh right, well, we know how competent they are coughWARcough

I do not know the reasons for all of them but it certainly must pick up soon.
And because i'm from those that they believe a Reverie arc will come (personally after the Big Mom arc) and that we will have some action and new bountys there hope you do not wait until then
For the first time, I actually liked the attack Usopp used this chapter since the time-skip. We saw Usopp use something from the island and turn it into a weapon. Not just some random seed that does something random or convenient for any situation. The only drawback to the scene was that he was facing off a retreating enemy… Although the sea-stone handcuffs in the end was unexpected and convenient, but I'll let that go.
So Franky's Shogun robot can withstand the pressure of shooting a Gaon-Cannon level attack, without needing some sort of propulsion from the back to keep it from having the "kickback"?
Overall the chapter was okay, borderline good. Nami's attack was alright. A little confusing where the egg came from or what it is, how it flew so far and so fast, and how it opened up or cracked when she wanted it to. I mean she said "crack", but whatever I guess... I mean she's been wearing tight jeans, and a bikini... Where did the egg-thing come from? Inside the rod, and it expanded? I don't know... I liked it better when things were a little more understood. Before the time-skip, she used the rod Usopp customized with skypeia technology and it just made things work. Now they just do things. Doesn't matter how or why. It doesn't even need a huge explanation. Something simple so we can understand what they did over the last two years.
Last thoughts... A little confusing where Ceaser was picked up and how he woke up from Luffy's hit, enough to fly to Dresrosa? And Baby 5 and Buffalo were largely beaten by the SH's without much trouble. Makes me wonder if Doflamingo's crew is just not really all that powerful or they're all getting lazy. And there are still crew members left on Dresrosa to be dealt with possibly in the future. And lastly, I guess the Poison Gas is not a problem or an issue for the time-being?
You're saying it like its hard for Logia's to fly. Caesar clearly said that he's paralysed but flying away shouldn't be that much of a problem and it wasn't going to be until he got hit by the sea stone handcuffs

Robin will definitly always have one of the highest bounties in the Straw Hat Crew because of her ability to read Poneglyphs. Even though the current bounties are outdated she is still ahead of Sanji, which will probably change with the next set of bounties.
Still she is not even close to Sanji's strength -fact-

No more when WG see the Monster Trio as Monster Trio

I agree, but she is still more dangerous than him and that's how the WG will always see it, but I hope Sanji gets a higher bounty than her.
I'm calling it, the old lady just gave Caribou a bomb or something similar.

This is the bottomline. The reason Luffy and Zoro have such high bounties in comparison is their impact on the world government. Luffy destroyed the strongest CP9 member, two schibukai, destroyed enies lobby, before he punched a Royal, participated in the marine war, AND his relationships with his family announced. Zoro was recognized for defeating mr1 (correct me if I'm wrong) and Tbone, a marine captain. Sanji is pretty unknown and abuses it. Although with of course his bounty introduction, they'll recognize him as a threat for his power rather than association. Robin by far is a greater threat than sanji to the government specifically because she can read the polygraphs, luffy and zoro demonstrated at least a vice admiral power comparison, while sanji really hasn't been given the opportunity to give the government a proper scaling of his power.
That's my take on it anyway

So let Sanji to kick-ass a Vice Admiral :ninja:
When Buffalo talked about the Donquixote family, what did he mean by that? That the whole crew is a family like WB's crew was(unlikely), or there are more Donquixote's around?

I'm a little sad that the granny didn't obliterate Caribou. But at least we will get to see "you know who" one installment sooner. The thing I don't get, just what is Caribou asking the old lady? I can't make anything out of this. Is it the Japanese symbol for harbour? A doodle of a ship with a question mark on top? I mean, there is already a sign which points to the direction of the harbour, so it can't be harbour related. Or is that the joke? To show what an idiot he is?Chapter Franky basically just destroyed 2 of Doflamingo's crew. Blood flows out of Buffalo's mouth and Baby 5's face looks seriously damaged. I used to believe that beautiful women don't get hurt in One Piece, and after all this did happen offpanel, but I stand corrected. Anyway, General Cannon is impressive shit and I love how Franky represents the Sunny with it. What does all this badassery tell us? Robin had no freaking idea how powerful the Robot was. Or she knew that Franky is even more super when he leaves the cockpit? Whatever, all in all a great show which shows us again that Zoro & Sanji are not the only Straw Hat's who can mess things up.
Speaking of Straw Hats, Team Counter Hazard arrives at the scene and intimidates the crap out of everyone. The moment I saw this panel I seriously felt sorry for Doflamingo. There is no way he could believable piss on this lineup, controlling people or not. I simply can't see him overpowering them all just like that.Alright, now comes the part where things get weird. I like that Usopp and Nami get the badly needed time in the sun, but everything about it screams forced. Nami even uses the words I bet most had in mind there "damn she did nothing so far, she needs a fight". Sorry, but these alibi-performances are a real letdown and insulting to the characters involved. I can't believe I'm going to say this, but at this point I would prefer Robin (who was no better than a lifeless doll during the whole arc) to stay back and watch the show till Punk Hazard is over. Give her a real role in the next arc and I will forget about it Oda, but please stop this forced crap. I understand that he loves his characters and wants them to do something fancy, but there is nothing wrong with keeping them low till their time comes.
As for the silhouette, I don't think it's a character we know. Aokiji & Mihawk make no sense to me, while Bobbins body structure is too different if we compare it with the closeup. Jack is a good guess, maybe he will be the badly needed reinforcement for Doflamingo.
All in all it was an okay chapter with ups and downs, and hey we got the confirmation that Logia's like Caesar can travel over the ocean (since that's what he was trying to do).
Sorry to be late again. I really like your reviews; (I should have to add a favorite tag to my navigator with your latest posts :-).)
Here two comments you make me thought about your review:
I think Ussop beating Caesar in the end it's not forced: simply because he has the member entrusted with the mission to get the sea stones chains. So, image for a moment, you are Oda: then how would you draw the panel in which Ussop chain Caesar? If you keep the patter you suggest for Robin, the scene would be something like: "a stronger member beat him, and Ussop jump out of the curtain to chain CC.". I honestly prefer the scene chosen by Oda, with the seastone being spit out for the Kabuto allien. :-)
About beautiful women been hurt in OP, maybe you should feel better if you keep in mind that in this chapter a beautiful woman was hurt and beaten in the end by another beautiful woman. :-) works?
• I can honestly say I don't care about Caribou's Kehihihi. I have a feeling it's not really going to be important until the last panel or so where he'll (hopefully) meet up with "that person".
• I love it when Franky has that old-hairstyle/goggles combo. General Franky put the beatdown on those guys. I know a few girls who would be totally impressed with General Cannon.
• Glad to see that the other group of kids made it. I don't think it was ever shown that the second group (including Momo's totes girlfriend) made it out ok. I know Brook and Kinemon ran into them when they found out about Momo's transformation, so it's nice to know they got there in time.
• When Law first sees Dofla's subordinates, he exclaims "Buffalo!! And you're… Baby 5?!" Why does he seem so genuinely surprised to see Baby 5, but not Buffalo? It may be a mistranslation, but perhaps Law and Baby 5 had a unique relationship in the past (not a romantic one, obviously). I don't know, probably a stretch.
• "They're enemies." That's a fun panel. Everyone looking really menacing. Fen Bock of the Gourd looks like a badass. I love that Sanji is blushing; you can tell who HE'S looking at. I have a feeling they'll interact next chapter.
• I liked the joke that Usopp and Nami were perfectly fine taking on enemies in retreat. I especially liked that Usopp kept repeating that they were his specialty. When Law was about to take action, he seemed genuinely worried that they might escape. Then Nami steps in and points out their alliance and to let them handle it. I think this whole exchange was not to make Law look like a badass who could do everything by himself, but to restore faith in his decision to ally with the Straw Hats.
• The entire process with Usopp's new Kabuto was really confusing. The Mangastream version helps a bit, though. Does the plant eat the ammo and spit it out after he shoots it? And does it fire multiple shots at once, or was Usopp just shooting it a bunch?
• I've seen a lot of speculation about the mystery silhouette at the end. Apparently, to a lot of you, it HAS to be someone we've seen before for some reason. I would LOVE for it to be Kuzan, and I think that from what little we know about him/her/it, he seems like the most likely candidate, IF it were to be an already-known character. However, that face does not look like him at all. It is more than likely a new character.
• I'm really excited to see what's going to happen next. We're completely in-the-dark about everything past step 1 of Law's plan. There are so many things to be resolved and/or clarified: Kinemon's petrification, Momo's permanent(?) Zoan form, the giant children, Mocha's condition, the whereabouts of Law's crew, the fate of Monet and Vergo ('cause you know they aren't dead), and Doflamingo's trip to Punk Hazard. Oh the suspense.
• When Law first sees Dofla's subordinates, he exclaims "Buffalo!! And you're… Baby 5?!" Why does he seem so genuinely surprised to see Baby 5, but not Buffalo? Maybe when Law left the crew she has not part of the crew
@The:
Post-timeskip Buggy the Clown!!!!
i thought that too
Still she is not even close to Sanji's strength -fact-
Most likely she is not as strong as him(well more like not as tough as him) but she is a far bigger danger to the general population. Sanji is a powerhouse but his abilities limit the damage he can make to certain areas and ranges. Nico Robin on the other hand can slaughter thousands in mere seconds. She infiltrate almost any fortress without being seen, she is a perfect assassin and so on and so on. If it came to an all out war Nico Robin is one of the biggest threats there is to the general population and when it comes to exploiting strategic weakness
And that's not even taking the ancient weapons into account
@The:
Maybe when Law left the crew she has not part of the crew
Or maybe, since Baby 5, as how we already have seen, "hates" Doflamingo, Law thought she would end leaving the crew. There are all sort of possibilities for this.
@Foxy:
And we saw the prominent Vice-Admirals in Film Z and none of them were promoted, but I guess it remains to be seen.
All but one Vice-Admiral were shown in the movie (even Mozambia and Cancer, the two really bland ones).
Bastille got left out:

Haahahahahaa
So it's actually a huge dump of trash that can talk? Yeah, Oda might do that.

I honestly prefer the scene chosen by Oda, with the seastone being spit out for the Kabuto allien. :-)
In my scenario Nami and Usopp wouldn't do anything, unless Oda creates a situation where their abilities are truly needed. Situations where you get the impression "wow nice, that's something only Usopp or Nami can pull off! That's their value apart from being Luffy's Nakama!".
Chaining Caesar with seastone has no value at all. Even if we ignore Law, demi-god of Punk Hazard, there are still Sanji and Smoker (characters with immense strength and the ability to fly). All three of them would have zero problems getting the job done. Oda just decided to give Usopp and Nami a moment to shine, and it backfired horribly if we consider that they were treated like children who'd like a hit or two on a pinata.
But hey, maybe I'm reading too much into it and this wasn't supposed to be a shining moment, but a mere reminder that Usopp & Nami are material for the leftovers.

I'm cool with it really, it was just an observation. I can't remember another incident where a protagonist smashed the face of a "beautiful" female, so I think it is a first (not counting Miss Valentine getting Team Rocket-punched).

Well, to be honest they are nothing like the ones on Glorious Island :ninja:
Great chapter but one thing i have a problem with, well two. first general frankys legs are to short,twig like, the tank treads on his back should be the legs. course that could be a future up grade. second the tease at the end of these recent chapters is seemingly more important then the chapter itself
But hey, maybe I'm reading too much into it and this wasn't supposed to be a shining moment, but a mere reminder that Usopp & Nami are material for the leftovers.

Luffy did deck Vivi back in the desert, if that counts.
why everyone is looking at the silhouette to decide it'is kuzan when we have a close-up on his face in the next panel where he doesn't seem like aokiji at all?
That sillhoutte is not a closup of his face, probably oda drew the side of his jacket to keep everyone guessing, but that is definitely not a face.
It's kuzan or aokiji wichever you like, and i think that thing he is on is a pheasant made of ice, maybe he brought his bike with him and wanted to sleep so he created that pheasant.
Doesn't his name mean pheasant?

Are you impying that the Robin with everyone else is a clone made using her fruit and the real Robin decided to go offshore and take a nap?
Also, Vivi is kinda busy getting ready to go to the Reverie. Pretty sure it's not her.
Speaking of Robin, did we ever find out what Luffy wanted her to do? Was it just to go with Usopp and Co?

Aha, I've managed to remember my years-old user name and password at last! Now, to conquer Earth! … Or perhaps I'll just start by joining in some conversation, and work my way up to that.

I'm a bit confused with what you're saying here, to be honest. I mean on the one hand, I do see where it is you're coming from. Certainly, I don't think I would say this was exactly a sniping Spandam from the Tower of Justice moment, for example. I don't think I'm as sure as you seem to be that the people you mentioned could have handled the situation with no trouble – for one thing, it would involve them having to catch up with the retreating enemies, and I got the impression that that would be difficult to do with Buffalo having 'reached his top speed' -- but leaving that aside, I can see how Oda could have easily written it so that, for example, Sanji handled the situation without trouble.
Here is where I run into my confusion. Let's say that was what he had done, and Sanji chased down and defeated them instead of Usopp and Nami pitching in. No problem. The thing is, I can think of someone else other than Sanji who we know for a fact could handle the situation without any trouble... Usopp and Nami. So I guess my question is, if Oda had had someone else handle the situation, let's simply say Sanji, would that have upset you for the same reason? If not, why the double standard, that Usopp and Nami are only allowed to have their moment that is tailored to them and them alone, while others are allowed to step in whenever they wish, even if others could have done so just as well? On the other hand, if you would have been just as upset in that hypothetical scenario, then are you honestly saying that you would want every single problem the Strawhats ever come across to be specifically tailored to one and only one of them? Wouldn't that end up seeming more than a bit contrived?
As I said, I do see where you're coming from, and I think I agree with you to a point. It's simply how offensive the situation seems to you, I suppose, that gives me pause to think of what I've mentioned above.
You're saying it like its hard for Logia's to fly. Caesar clearly said that he's paralysed but flying away shouldn't be that much of a problem and it wasn't going to be until he got hit by the sea stone handcuffs
I may have worded my post wrong. I meant, having enough energy to fly to Dresrosa after awakening Luffy's hit. He looked passed out that's why I said that. I don't think a gas logia would have a problem crossing the seas.
Even if we ignore Law, demi-god of Punk Hazard, there are still Sanji and Smoker (characters with immense strength and the ability to fly). All three of them would have zero problems getting the job done.
Well, considering Baby 5 was in possession of Ceasar at the time, I would argue there would be plenty of problems with Sanji getting the job done. And Smoker isn't technically part of their alliance, so he isn't obligated to help them in this situation.
this is pretty cool, only quarry i have is that nami's boobs are immensely(hyperbole, just incase someone took this literally ) small in comparison to how they actually look
Its artistic style difference. Garth never does the impossible big boobs. He draws boobs as they would look like in real life, big or small. The only time he does the unrealistic is when he does a humor pic to poke fun at something specific, like the amaizing bouncing boobs of movie 7. Even then the size is realistic, it was the movement that wasn't.

LAw would certainly be able to do somethign agaisnt them. Are we sure they were still in Luffy's reach? I dunno…
But Sanji would not be able to do what Usopp and Nami did for one reason= Baby 5.
Its already established that Sanji is useless against beautiful ladies. He will not hit them.
We don't know if he could catch up with Bufallo but lets say he can. Then what? Buffalo isn't the one fighting, he's focused on flying out, he can't make the same moves he did as he & Baby 5 did as they first approached Franky since CC is on his back and out of it. Buffalo says he needed Baby 5 to watch his back, that means she would be the one to fight.
We saw how useful Sanji is in that situation back in Eneis Lobby, he was able to defend himself until Kalifa used her DF powers but he was not able to do anything offensive against her. Same situation woudl play out with Baby 5.
@Foxy:

I think he means this page.

I'm betting he just wanted her to go with them, figuring that he can take on CC by himself. She wasn't going to be very useful against a Logia anyway.

Love this so much! Reading the comments, though, someone mentioned the mystery silhouette could be Jean Bart, which made me hope that maybe it's somehow Bepo and/or the rest of the Heart Pirates. And….they've just been floating in the ocean, waiting....for two years.....sleeping..........uh. yeah.
In all seriousness, though, after seeing the HQ Raw version of the silhouette, I can't get Kuzan out of my mind....the pose, the snoozing, the icy island. And it would make sense for him to debut post-timeskip in the series since he was just in Film Z. I also love the the talking pile of garbage theory though :wub: Dang, now I do care about it.
Neither Luffy, nor Zoro, nor Sanji, nor Frankie can…
! hide like Ussop,
That is an exclusive part of his shining value for ever and ever.
Now, when do we see those kind of situation in which no other member can solve a problem but Ussop or Nami or Robin? Mostly when they are alone, with no other member there, in a isolate event. That was not the case in this chapter. And someone had to do the job. So, why not them, so that Ussop could do the…
! pointing to the sky celebration…
What I mean is that, after Luffy's decisive punch, to catch CC was just an small job. Nobody would shine with it, in terms of having a big fight. So they don't have to be judged searching there if they are good figthers or not, on that situation. The scene is more like an epilogue that tries to be nice, and it got it on my view.
I just noticed, it seems like Robin and Tashigi forgot about what happen between them in Alabasta.
@Mark:
I just noticed, it seems like Robin and Tashigi forgot about what happen between them in Alabasta.
Well, I think they just have bigger priorities right now. Give it a few chapters and they might mention it when they aren't in immediate danger of dying.
