damn cool fight, poor obito though.
Wonder why he dosen't use any wood release techs now though

I like the implication that Rin went rogue, since the Mist ninjas wanted to recover her body. Gives her some character development potential in the future (hopefully) and Kakashi some motivation.
"I can see why Madara chose you."
Well, that was pretty much the dumbest line of the whole chapter. Why the hell would Madara choose a talentless loser like Obito? For that matter, Obito was chosen?
And of course Kishi cleverly dodges making this chapter truly groteque by having all the enemies wear masks. They must be really strapped on there.
And it's looking more and more likely that Obito's just going to leave without even seeking an explanation.
Omg Kishi…how many times are you going to draw the same panel over and over to illustrate a point that was already made several hundred chapters ago. Stop drawing the split Kakashi and Tobito face panels. What point are you trying to make?! Overall, pretty uninteresting chapter. Just blood, blood, and more blood.
Btw Mangapanda sure loves those lameass filler pages.
I could be stupid, but I think he was illustrating a different, kind of cool point with the panels this time if you're referencing this page. http://www.mangapanda.com/naruto/605/4 The point is that they both lost their only, or most loved ones at the same time. Obito could only think about those two for months, and when he finally sees them, Kakashi is killing Rin, getting rid of her, and getting rid of any love he had for Kakashi. And Kakashi is getting rid of Rin for whatever reason while thinking Obito has been dead the same time, thus they both awaken it at the same time. (or Kakashi's only awoke because Obito's did, not sure.)
I like it, but I'm a fan of Naruto, I'm sure most of the posters here will think it's cheesy or not well done.
All I see are bloody branches. I felt this chapter is more grotesque than the whole current Ninja war we are having.

Hmm that is an interesting insight. That does make sense, but I am just tired of how he presented similar panels numerous times before (Kakashi/Tobito face split panel). It might have been cool if he did it only a few times, but I have seen this panel several times before. It lost its charm a long while ago. I wish he tried something different to present it, but what should I expect…it is Kishi. Should I expect something intuitive from him?
Cheesy? It's Naruto. Of course it's cheesy.

I agree, I really liked the art for this chapter, and that split screen scene also showed them first getting their MS which was pretty cool.
I liked this Naruto chapter, not much to say, very hard for it to go wrong. All I'm waiting for is the conclusion.
Bout Rin, the mist nins said they worked hard on getting 'it' and they needed Rin's body. I'm kinda thinking it could be some sort of demon thing that Rin trapped in her body which then Kakashi killed by going through Rin.
clorox is out: http://www.mangapanda.com/bleach/511
! I was surprised Kubo brings up the fact that Orohime could've just healed his left arm. The argument doesn't really make sense, but I was just surprised it was referenced at all.
poor yamamoto….. RIP
but isn't it a bit like whitebeard?? or its just kubo stealing stuffs from here and there >.<
Bleach was all sorts of terrible.
Orihime reference - really? Force? There would have been no forcing involved, Orihime does anything everyone wants willingly. A simple, "hey can you fix my arm?" would have sufficed.
Soul society as a bunch of bloodthirsty killers? What? Again, makes zero sense given that the main thing Shinigami even kill are hollows, and that isn't even killing - just purifying. There's not really a scenario you can conceive of in where they're a bunch of crazed psychos. Even if they were killing quincies, that's more or a less a "oh shit we have to do this or everything ends" type of thing more than anything else. There's nothing for a Shinigami to go crazed killer on with how the story has been written.
Ichigo coming out now is nothing more than a huge troll. Hey guys, the zero division might show… OH WAIT ITS ICHIGO. Proceed to Ichigo beating the big bad and the zero division having no reason to show up in the end. Ugh.
poor yamamoto….. RIP
but isn't it a bit like whitebeard?? or its just kubo stealing stuffs from here and there >.<
that's what I was thinking but then again I didn't feel sad or it wasn't as epic with Yama's death. I would laugh if he said "Bleach is real!!" before he died though.
Actually, I revise my prediction on the zero squad. Something will happen to delay Ichigo, and the zero squad will come out. There'll be an entire chapter dedicated to showing their character designs, and then in the next chapter they'll all die in one attack without being able to do anything. Trolling at its finest.
Bleach was horrible, so many things that didn't make any sense. Seriously wtf chapter. So confusing.
poor yamamoto….. RIP

It's yamamoto's poem in vol 45. "You may live bowing on your knees, but die standing on your feet."
Haha, I enjoyed Bleach. But that's with having started reading at the end of the Aizen stuff. I don't get half of the references and don't have to worry about continuity. It was so cliche and not too well done, but kind of cool. I don't think I'm ever going to read or watch the stuff in Bleach I haven't, works better that way it seems.
Wow Kubo really doesn't give a fuck. He went pretty far to pull the this enemy should be taken seriously cuz he took out the leader card. Nice speech at the end about them being weak since they found peace but I'm still not buying it. This guy's threat level was already suspect since he's a quincy but then trying to get Aizen as an ally and trapping Ichigo made me see how predictable this arc will be.
Maybe Kenpachi finally does something awesome.
@Mark:

Oh my god that would've been the most hilarious thing ever.
Someone should totally make a parody of this.
what…the....fuck
Tht was absolutely brutal on Yamamoto - to die in such a manner, cut in half...have his hand cut off....and then be vaporized like that. Kubo completely pissed all over his character...its disgraceful. He could have at least died with a bit more dignity than that.
I'm seriously pissed off at how Yamamoto has been killed. But at least it shows he means business...that he is infact killing off characters, which all but means Byakuya is definitely dead. ( I wonder if his granfather will turn up again)
Also, we knew this whole healing of the left arm thing long ago. I dunno why people are bitching about it.
@Zik:
Maybe Kenpachi finally does something awesome.
Did you forget he was defeated by the fake guy or are you thinking he'll get back up and do something awesome?
The entire fight is probably an illusion created by Aizen's bankai to fool the quincies leader that he defeated Soul Society. Now he will free Aizen who will kill the quincies leader in 1 hit and stealing Yamamoto's bankai. Then Ichigo shows up for the final battle :)
Did you forget he was defeated by the fake guy or are you thinking he'll get back up and do something awesome?
He was beaten, not killed. Which means we will see him again fighting one day soon.
I woulda prefered a flashback to a 1000 years ago and what exactly happenned between the 2 of them.
He was beaten, not killed. Which means we will see him again fighting one day soon.
I didn't say he died. I just wonder if Zik was thiinking that Kenpachi going to get back up during this arc and do something awesome or if he just forgot about him getting defeated this arc.

He's been beaten right now, but we are going to see him fight once again.
Thouhg i hate how Yamma-ji died like that…i suppose in a way, it was good. A far more realistic war, compared to the whole Espada debacle where no one died. Now the Shinigami are getting utterly raped, their leader killed in such brutal fashion...
I like it. It makes things more interesting.
Did you forget he was defeated by the fake guy or are you thinking he'll get back up and do something awesome?
Doesn't that always happen in Bleach though, character gets defeated comes back twice as strong defeats character that defeated him and repeat until enough time passes, and Kubo, comes up with a new arc?
Anyways, why is Obito not blind yet. Judging by how he has been spamming that dimension move without the "eternal version" of that eye, since it seems to be his only real defensive move, and I don't remember him having a brother to change eyes with or is that not really important anymore?
Jesus christ Kubo, abit mean spirited this week aren't we?
"I can see why Madara chose you."
Well, that was pretty much the dumbest line of the whole chapter. Why the hell would Madara choose a talentless loser like Obito? For that matter, Obito was chosen?

I completely agree. First Madara can not leave his cave, so Obito just randomly falls into his cave and Madara can reach him. Now Madara is supposed to have chosen Obito? Does not really make sense.
What i also did not understand was the awakening of Mangekyo. If it was awakened that early for Kakashi, why did he not use it before?
naruto was a wast of a chapter, we didn't really learn anything here!!!
and blaech was depressing!!!, so much i bet you needed anti-depression pills after that
and dont compare yama death to whitebreads, whitebeard die in dignity!!!!!!
i really want to know if there is more mangas old pepole that die in dignity!!!!
No worries. Yamamoto will be reincarnated into the human world, or in some ass pull - the Soul King with his god like powers will bring him back.
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
Oh look. Mohawk guy survived....how about that? I wonder if As Nodt and Nanana Nahjakoop survived as well? Though i bet Mohawk guy just got lucky probably...

Haha it was like the episode of south park where chef died it was so over the top!
So Yamamoto died after one attack. That's really underwhelming.
All the old men of the other 2 'big name' manga died heroically. Old Man WB went out in epic fashion, the 3rd Hokage & Jiraiya died heroically as well. Yamamoto died rather pointlessly. Went out with a whimper….
I'm surprised no one mentionned that Kakashi awakened the Mangekyou WAY before the first chapter in the timeline and actually NEVER used it.
Madara choosing Obito part I guess means that Madara saw the potential in Obito which is why he chose to rescue him and tell him of his plan. AS for Bleach, when did this manga become so dark that shoulder slashes kill?
i think it was from the fullbring saga….

Kakashi can use the Mangekyou only when Obito has activated his own. :ninja:

Just now obviously. This is the final arc. People are gonna die.
Wow, Bleach and Naruto really have gone down hill as of late. Not only did Kishi screw up what he did in the original series but its not really apart of the actual plot and did nothing for us.
Kubo freakin killed Bleach, good luck with getting your fans back pal.
! I was surprised Kubo brings up the fact that Orohime could've just healed his left arm. The argument doesn't really make sense, but I was just surprised it was referenced at all.
This is one of the cases where I think that mangaka do read fan mail. He probably felt the need to adress it after a zillion letters asking why he didn't get his arm back.
Anyway. Bleach was horrible, but it shows just how huge the difference is between Kubo and Kishi, not even speaking of Oda. Yama dying in such a manner is just shameful, and the attempt to make him look heroic and badass failed horribly. Comparing this to the death of Jiraya or Whitebeard is almost a crime, really.
As for Naruto, I really enjoyed it. I don't care about the plot anymore, it's fucked up anyway. So I will take what is left from this once great manga, namely great fighting scenes which will be animated at one point. Obito slaughtering the mist ninja's was brutal, but really well done.
Oh my,so now Kubo is trying to sell Grandpa Genocide as some sort of a kind jeezer who would'nt even bother Orihime to heal his arm?
Yeah,no.Kubo,it would be easier for me to buy this bullshit if you had atleast bothered to retcon Rukongai and other SS niceties out of existence.

Yeah, so he wanted to sacrifice his own men back at Fake Karakura merely for nostalgia's sake,eh?
As for Naruto,I'll have to admit that Obito's tree rampage was pretty darn cool.
cracks knuckles Let's review.
Bleach: Basicially, I agree with Jabra's above post. If Kubo was trying to emulate Oda's successful handling of Whitebeard's emotional death, then he failed. First off, what does the flashback teach us? Before the Gotei's conception, there were "divisions", or just thugs. Since these guy were the first Shinigami, I can see them being thugs in the sense of showboating their power and using it to bully others. It's probably where Seireitei's "we hate peasants" attitude came about.
Bach pretty much hit the nail on the head, Yama was too stubborn to ask Orihime to fix his arm. What exactly is the shame in it? She healed Hitsugaya and Kenpachi (not that I'm condoning Orihime just being a healing item). But wait, how does he know all about what when down?
…anyway, it's funny that Yamamoto became a faciliator of peace or what have you after committing Quincy genocide. Yeah, that's peaceful alright.
But this portrayal as "oh Yama cares for peace and his allies" is not some emotional climax, it's Kubo pulling a Byakuya. We're supposed to ignore the fact that Yamamoto tried to carry out Rukia's execution, attempted to nuke a town where his subordinates were fighting, declared Orihime as a traitor for no good reason, didn't pardon Urahara and the Vizards immediately after Aizen defected, etc. before all of this? WB's death was powerful, you know he cared for his crew and was willing to fight the Marines alone to let them get away.
Here…..I don't feel the same punch. Not at all. And isn't it funny Shunsui is in the flashback and reacted to Yama dying, but Ukitake is mysteriously absent from both situations?
Also, Kubo has hit the fast forward button on this arc. For months the pacing has been slow as all hell, and now the Vandereich has brought Seireitei to ruins and now plan to retreat in a span of moments?
Next chapter will probably go back to Ichigo…..
Naruto: Kishimoto tries to basicially mind-fuck the readers. Obito sees Rin's dead body, but then goes into a berserker rage and starts murdering shinobi after shinobi. Shouldn't Kakashi be his first target?
But then, oh wait! We see the fucking moon and Obito stand in a pool of blood, declaring that he's in Hell. What does that mean, Kishi? Why did Kakashi kill Rin?! I will say Obito attacking the ninja was well done, but c'mon, Kishi.
…....i'll go back to my "this is a massive genjutsu designed to drive Obito insane and lusting for revenge" theory now.
I found Tobi's mindless rampage kinda epic(ly entertaining).
Quincy genocide happen 200 years ago right? Yamas history with Bach was 1000 years ago right?
So…isn't it the Tobi suit that's shooting out all those deadly branches? Did Obito somehow take control or is the suit just being a troll and going along with his deadly rampage?
As for Bleach, this is what happens when you give shit development for your characters, Kubo. I guess we're supposed to feel sad about Yamamoto dying, but I can't help but feel this is sort of poetic justice and that Bach is right in stating that the Shinigami are bloodthirsty monsters. I'm just so underwhelmed by what is supposed to be a major and impactful death.
Anyway, we need a humorously dark thread title this week.
@Cyan:
Ten bucks says Kakashi killed Rin in incredibly stupid circumstances
_called it_ .
Wonder what was that explosion at the end of Bleach. Ichigo, Urahara, and Grimmjow arriving? Division 0 coming already? Something Aizen related?
Quincy genocide happen 200 years ago right? Yamas history with Bach was 1000 years ago right?
Something like that.
Anyway, we need a humorously dark thread title this week.
"Naruto and Bleach II: Bloody Moons and Bifurcations"?
….I'll go back to the drawing board.
On Bleach
