Well, this is pretty crazy.
Gotta hand it to 'em. At least they're trying something new.

Agreed it isn't the same bland cycle they always do where we guess the next game (like we thought we guessed Gray version)

@RobbyBevard:
She's not new, her graphic was in the previous game… she's just unreleased. Same for robo-bug.
Really? Where did they show the graphic at?
I'm not sure how to feel about this. I shall wait for further information before making a judgement. However I applaud Game Freak for trying something new at least.
BW did admittedly leave massive sequel hook with Ghetsis and the Triad.
Not to mention the two goddesses in N's castle.
I'd love to see whatever original pokemon Zekrom and Reshiram used to be.
Theory: Cheren will be the Champion in these games.
Theory: Looker will be the champion

Your reward for beating him and the game? The Super Rod.
Will this game finally reveal that the Triad is the first gym trio? I was especting that twist and nothing happened.
The Triad are all Looker in disguise.
So are the first gym leaders, come to think of it.
Those legendaries look incredibly retarded and overdesigned.
But I think I have a much greater chance of buying one of these games than I would have of Pokemon Grey for the DS. I've never bought a 3rd game, because they're just remixes, with little actually new content. But an honest-to-goodness sequel… if that includes all-new routes, then I'll be all over it.
Really? Where did they show the graphic at?
Folks hacked the game data within hours of it being released to get graphics of everything and invisible stat quantities and their entire movesets. We knew all the critters before many of them had been revealed at all, including the event critters that aren't even "revealed"yet.

Meloetta even has two different forms.
But like I said before, Deoxys, Shaymin and Rotom all had alt forms added in later that were new graphics, stats and typings, but were not actually new critters. These new Kyuriem forms are PROBABLY the same. If they DO have distinct new numbers, that opens a whole can of possibilities, which is why I doubt it.
A random prevo, evo, or held item to tweak some of them isn't out of the question… but unlikely.
It still remains to be seen if we're going to get an entire new world map to explore, or if its just going to be the old one repurposed with some new story stuff and pokemon moved around like past midquels. Being a numbered sequel makes it distinctly different from whats gone in the past. (Hopefully there will be more 2 on 2 and 3 on 3 forced areas in the wild...)
Wow. Genesect looks like it could be an interesting plot device.
I for one hope that they're aren't trainers in the game that speak in non-translated languages.
i suspect that you'll play as a new trainer and it will have a different story line. N will be in it with either zekrom or reshiram and then the trainer from black & white will also be in it with the other legendary. I think it would be cool if it sent your elite four data over and then you can battle yourself from b&w like how you fought red in G/S/C but he has the pokemon you beat the elite four with the first time round.
I also expect cheren to be champion or at least a member of the elite four and bianca to be a gym leader

Oh yeah I forgot about that. I remember her now
I love it. They're really shaking things up. The 2 new forms look pretty awesome, yet freaky at the same time.
I can't wait to see how this one plays out - hopefully the story will be more improved..
Just so people know, when Shaymin's Sky Forme and Giratina's Origin Forme were revealed, they were called NEW Pokemon by Gamefreak/Cocoro/Matsuda/whatever, and we all know the truth, so the same definitely applies for Black Kyurem and White Kyurem.
The more I think about the idea of a sequel to Black and White the more I like the idea. It's certainly better than the usual third game per generation that I don't end up buying.
I predict their names will be Zekyurem and Reshyurem

Well this is so far how I could see the game work. Perhaps it will take place a 1 or 2 (possibly more) years after the initial incident between Plasma and your character from the first game. Over the some odd years Plasma regrouped and did research on Zekrom and Reshiram finding a connection with Kyurem while researching. And a new character who will later get intertwined with the plot or the old character that looks slightly older and with a likely different outfit will be the character we use.
Makes it all the more a shame that the anime isn't using either of the leads from the game, and that Ash can't grow up.
Especially since the girl is probably the best lead character design the series has ever had, and the anime uses… Iris instead.
Drayden should be a main character if the anime staff is so adamant on having a gym leader follow Ash around.

Honestly, since the whole theme with both Black and White and Best Wishes was that it was supposed to be almost a "reboot" for Pokemon(as in no old Pokemon during main plot, resetting routes etc), I was hoping that they would just have a new main character.
What pisses me off the most with the anime is that in the Pikachu short for Movie 3 they have a party for Ash's 1 year aniversery of becoming a trainer and meeting Pikachu. As in this would make him 11. Cut to like 7 years later and the anime starts out with "This is Ash Ketchum. He is 10 years old."
What they should have done is had Ash wandering through Unova getting badges as is the standard routine… but then had a separate and shorter mini-series featuring, gasp, OTHER CHARACTERS, namely the protagonists from B/W, as an actual adaptation of Black and White's plot. It'd have been a nice break from the norm and I'm sure even the kiddies who tune in for Ash and his posse each week would like it. But nope.
As it is, they can't even really use Bianca and Cheren to their fullest because a big part of the game's drama is that the trio of kids all grew up together in the same town. There's a three-way Gary/Ash dynamic which can't just be plopped onto Ash instead since he's just some shmoe from another region who's after badges.
I haven't even watched the anime regularly since mid-Johto, but even I'm tired of Ash/Satoshi at this point.
I get mad when they decide to finally give Brock some development and then have him leave. "I'm going to become a Pokemon doctor!" Great. Why couldn't you have thought of this back in Hoenn, have him come back mid-Sinnoh to heal some Pokemon on the road.
Honestly they should have had Brock be the one to enter Pokemon contest back in Hoenn. For a breeder that seems right up his alley, focusing on the performance and beauty aspect of it.
I want Brock back for the sole purpose of finding out exactly what the hell happened with Professor Ivy.
I wouldn't get any hopes up anyway, since as usual the anime seems hellbent on avoiding the games' plotline. Over a year in there's only been one episode with Team Plasma (which hasn't even aired thanks to the earthquake and tsunami) and N's nowhere in sight.
Well the anime is one big reset button. Just nothing beats the ridiculous of Ash beating a random guy out of nowhere's legendary, only to reveal he has a secret Latios as well.
D/P was easily the worst league of them all. Solely because of the plot device used to make Ash lose.
About the game, I'm actually psyched for it being thats its a sequel.
Pokemon anime discussion

You're right about the reset button. Now I know this anime is only meant to sell the games and merchandise, but at least make an anime that doesn't shit all over main characters dream. I mean Ash not winning ONE Pokemon League is like if Kuma sent the crew back to East Blue, but they continued forward. OK, fair enough, but when Kuma blasts them back to East Blue FOUR times, then it's time to quit.
At least half of what is wrong with the Pokemon anime simply comes from not changing the protagnist.
Too bad the anime isn't like pokemon special
If the anime was like Pokemon Special, Yellow version would have been the manliest game of all time.
Okay I heard Pokemon Special that's something I can discuss in earnest
In Pokemon Special, kicking Pokeballs is far more effective than throwing them.

In Pokemon Special, Giovanni actually does shit. Really, really, awesome shit.

There's a doujin for that.
Trust me, you don't want to know.
Giovanni and Deoxys vs. Red and Mewtwo is the best battle in all of the anime and manga.

Red Vs Giovanni is probably one of my favorite moments. And that's just in the first story arc.
Ruby/Sapphire arc was pretty goddamn amazing all around, and that wasn't even my favorite gen.
Also Yellow is pretty much the best Pokemon character of all time.
http://www.mangareader.net/457-28138-1/pokemon-special/chapter-37.html This entire sequence is literally a thing of beauty.
Whoever the mangaka is, he loves channeling Araki.
Hidenori Kusaki. Artist is Mato and Satoshi Yamamoto (Vol 10+)
http://www.mangareader.net/457-28139-7/pokemon-special/chapter-38.html Giovanni: Aizen Done Right
Steering things ever so slightly back to almost on topic I really liked the last few chapters of Black and White.
Black and the gang as toddlers and how he met his pokemon was precious.
Which makes me wonder how is Special going to tackle B&W2? Has me pretty stoked.
Black and White 2 huh? Gotta give Game Freak credit for trying something new. Too many unknowns for now to give an accurate judgement on how I feel about this development.
Cyrus is so manly in the manga that he cries BLOOD!!!!

I like how the authors are trolling everyone with the Triad stuff:
! ![](http://jb2448.info/var/resizes/Magazine_Scans/Viz_BW/Volume 03/Chapter 9/Page 01.png?m=1321479536)
I love it.
I dunno, the way the manga works I wouldn't be surprised.
Plus it's not like the Waiter Trio made it to the final confrontation so I wouldn't put that development past them for a second
Doesn't matter what this game includes all I know is I'm 100% guaranteed legit access to DW Unnova hidden abilities!
Hmm, if these are direct sequels I hope they reveal soon. I gotta buy Pokemon White again and do another playthrough.
