If Crocus was on Roger's crew, and if said crew was the only to make it to Raftel, than his representation will be more accurate. Even in Robin's portrayal of the Admirals, Kizaru's hat turned out to be accurate.
I'd think you people would have a bit more trust in Oda. He's not too big on inconsistencies.
We were shown a generic ominous Island. Nothing more. It won't be an incosistency if Raftel looks absolutely nothing like that.

The OVA shows it only after Roger mentions Raftel with the big DON and commotion. The manga has it set so it's Loguetown. My world has been torn apart... Either way, though; we have seen Raftel. I think someone already posted a picture of it in this thread. So my point stands: no crazy fire tornadoes surrounding it.

The only reason the Crocus depiction might be accurate is that he has actually been to Raftel, while Johnny and Yosaku had probably never seen a Shichibukai before Mihawk.

So since Crocus already seen Raftal we get a little glimpse view of it through his eyes.
Didn't Crocus See Brook(who was nowhere to be seen) and his entire crew(except for Corki) too but they turned out entirely different than they were shown 3-4 years before Oda first gave us Glimpse of them. The flag on the ship did not match the one from brooks flashback.

That image of Raftel is there to send us messages that its a mysterious island. The smoke the blur the feeling that us as readers recieve is there, thats all that matters. It would not be an inconsistenty if Oda made it complety different.
Exactly. At that point in the story we didn't and weren't supposed to know Crocus was a member of the Roger Pirates. So what we were shown was not an image from Crocus's memory but an image of a random mysterious island at the end of the Grand Line meant to keep us readers in suspense. You weren't supposed to reread that chapter 300 chapters later and go, "OMG!!! That actually was the real thing".

We've already seen what Raftel looks like in chapter 0. It's a plain green island situated on a normal ocean, so there's really no crazy locations to it. The safest bet would be it's an island with no magnetic pull, which would make finding it the biggest issue and mystery.

Grand Line (Paradise): Chopper, Robin, Franky, Brook joined. 3 men + 1 women = 4 people

Would this mean a patern? Are we getting three more people with one girl extra? Or just some stupid idea from this silly guy who types it?
This would make the total crew 12. Which I think is a good amount. With Jinbe coming in the future there is only spot left for 2 men and 1 girl. Well that is what I think ;p.
Anyways, other than that I believe Jinbe joins after the whole Big Mom fight which will be the Crocodile fight of this Saga. The next nakama should be coming early I guess on the next island. And I think that a major arc would be the former M5. Where Marineford is stated, I think somehow the Straw Hats are going to end up there and maybe find Bonney (it is obvious she is getting more story in the future somehow). Anyways, Elbaf, Wannoo, Marineford.. I am curious ;D

That was my mistake. I had in mind that scene in the OVA, which is set up differently than the manga's. I want to believe.

I don't understand what makes you think those are things they're imagining. I've always been under the idea it's just backgrounds/silhouettes drawn for suspense, mystery or whatever. A perfect example would be Jinbei telling Luffy about Ao and Aka's fight. I doubt he was there in person, yet there was a background image of it.

The best part of the story right now, is that we have no idea where it's going to go. Fishman Island was the last "sure thing" we knew was going to happen in the story, at least in the short term.
It's exciting to see whatever happens next.

Ehh, I'll concede on it being your belief. I personally just think it's there more as visual stimuli to the read. Any inconsistencies is probably more from Oda not wanting to reveal what they look like (or not knowing himself yet) than the character's imaginings.
Regardless, I'm sure Big Mom and Garp could've met… but everyone in the world knows Luffy is Garp's grandson. I don't doubt they did, just saying.

Luffy never said he wanted a crew of 10. He wanted a crew of MINIMAL 10 ;p. A Databook did tell us that so.. dunno which one anymore tho :<

Brooke is already a crew member and how long did he spend with the crew? A week? 2 weeks? The crew is a love at first sight crew in most cases. If Luffy wants you to join, you join, and the rest of the crew will learn to accept you.

Aren't we only halfway through? That's 10 more years of adventure. I think they could add a couple new members in that time. Of course Luffy and the gang are 10 strong, so we can technically stop there. We have all the elements of a crew and a family.

I really enjoy those sort of chapters too. Hopefully the next one/or set of those will focus on some of the Supernovas or perhaps Coby and Helmeppo.
We're not getting chapters like that again unless another big event like the war happens which won't happen for years. We got those recap chapters to set up future plotlines involving all those characters. Now we have to wait until they reappear to see what has happened these two years.

How powerful do you guys think the gorousei are?
They're obviously not in charge of the World Government simply because they're smart. And judging their scars, they aren't just politicians.
I think it is safe to assume they aren't pushovers, but the exact extent of their power is yet to be seen. They will play an important role in the story, that's for sure.
I can only assume that they're the very top of the World Government's legislative order. They're the highest council that decides the most important decisions regarding the world balance. They respect the World Nobles for an as-of-yet undisclosed reason, but I imagine it's ultimately up to them. The Commander-in-Chief (Kong) is the executive side, but still takes his orders from the Gorosei.
So, yes, like their title implies, they'd be the "world's highest political power."
I can't wait to see how the other supernova's have advanced in the past 2 years, and i'd really love to see Shanks, and when we meet Big Mom what the hell is she gonna do to Luffy? I'd also love to know where Aokiji is and if they're gonna appoint 2 new admirals to take his and Akainu's. And is another pirate going to ever be named a new Yonkou since Whitebeard died?

Actually they are too stupid and narrowminded to do anything. All we know is that they live in Mariejois and thats it. Thats probably all they do. They are descendants of kings without the mandatory work.

Y-Yes.. that's more or less what I said.
Except I don't think the Celestial Dragons are politicians by any means. I have no doubt one or two can't be into politics.. but as a whole, they're more of an "old money" lot. They use their name to hold all the power they have; they're the descendants of the kings who banded together to form the original World Government. That's all the rank they need.

Oh that's a nice observation I don't remember anyone referring to the elder stars, but only in Nico Robins flashback. So you could say they are behind the scenes type characters in one piece

I hope you are referring to the dumb celestial dragons when you are saying stupid. The manga has showed us only stupid tenryibuutos. But I'm pretty sure there are a few strong and intelligent ones or else its impossible for dumb people to hold their authority for such a long time.
We don't know it's going to happen in the next few days. We know it's happening this year.
Well considering that everyone (like Vivi, Pell, Chaka, etc.) are already preparing to set off to Mariejois, yes, it is happening in the next few days.
