Bleach: my main issue is the blatant retconning of Tsukihima's abilities. Just because he altered the past of something, it doesn't mean that he actually experienced it (otherwise, he'd have about two dozen contradictory memories of the events of the series), which means that he couldn't have been able to know how to dodge Byakuya's attacks.
As wtf-inducing as Tsukishima's ability is, it's not retconned at all. Actually, it's stayed true to the original (confusing as hell) explanation.
And he has to be able to experience the histories of his target in somne way, or else he'd have no way to know how to manipulate them in the way he wants in the first place. Remember that he knew about Orihime's brother and Chad's grandfather and all of their Soul Society adventures well enough to plausibly insert himself into them.
Since I'm beating the drum that Tobi = Sage, I might as well throw this part out. Is everyone forgetting Tobi's Izanagi?
Tobi has the following:
1.) A massive wealth of knowledge about the Senju/Uchiha lines.
2.) The ability to do a perfect version of a technique originally used by the Sage that requires the combined body of both lines (thus using the first's cells in obito's body)
3.) (This one might be the most important) - An extremely high level understanding of how the Rinnegan works. Despite the fact that the only Rinnegan user since the Sage has been Nagato. And Nagato doesn't seem to be the type to detail out to Tobi how all of his powers work - unless Tobi already knew because he already possessed them.
Tobi is the Sage. However, he's significantly handicapped because he doesn't have his enormously strong original body, and he doesn't have the chakra reserves of a tailed beast to back him up. The sappy ending Tobi being the sage sets up, where the two ancestors of his two sons team up to defeat him once again is just blatantly obvious at this point.
I recently equipped my punching bag with a new accessory, namely kishimoto, sasuke and naruto's faces. Soon I shall be the number one kick boxer in Belgium, if not, the world.
NotAizen2's ability expansion is okay. He inserted himself in people, now he inserts himself in stuff. But the ability itself is so broken it's incredible. And since it's clumsily explained (for me, I understood nothing), it seems even more absurd. I don't see any boundary or weakness. Only such incompetent writers as Kubo do such tricks, because any other clever author makes his characters do smart actions like normal people and make them go with the way of less tension in solving problems. And thus they don't give their charas such tricks. Because not using them in the most effective way to end problem as soon as possible will be clearly favoring other side and against previously established way of actions.
Oh and pages also had a lot of innuendos. But they amuse me so I'm in.
And douche brother looks strange. His face is not from his usual pattern. But since I don't re-read Bleach I can't remember on whom this pattern is used.
NotAizen2's ability expansion is okay. He inserted himself in people, now he inserts himself in stuff.
So that's what I've been missing, hmm?
Good times
Another mangastream mistranslation;
Isn't that the technique known as a complete atrocity against the entire flow of life and death in the universe…!!?
should be
...Did you say the Edo Tensei...!? So this isn't the Rinne Tensei...!?
So it looks like Madara was expecting to be revived by Nagato's Rinnegan.
@Zp1:
1.) A massive wealth of knowledge about the Senju/Uchiha lines.
So? So does/did Danzo, Tsunade, and the Raikage and possibly other people. Remember they even knew what tools and weapons the Sage used?
@Zp1:
2.) The ability to do a perfect version of a technique originally used by the Sage that requires the combined body of both lines (thus using the first's cells in obito's body)
It wasn't perfect because Tobi lost the eye that used the technique. And Danzou knew of the technique, which means that Kishi makes characters know certain things when he see's fit.

First, Nagato was said to be one of the few people after the Sage to have had the Rinnegan. Secondly, if Tobi and/or Madara gave Nagato the rinnegan, that probably means they knew enough of what the eye does before hand. It seems the main reason for having Nagato have the rinnegan was so that Madara could be resurrected from the dead.

Tobi is the sage? I'd say he'll become a sage through a transformation. Possibly after Naruto and Bee are defeated and their bijuu are sucked out of them. It's been a theory of mine. Naruto will lose his power up to gain another/greater power up later on. And Tsunade is still alive to revive Naruto if by chance he dies, which I'm counting on.
@metteminne:
Deadpool <3
I think we should all thank Shuu chan for making Bleach good again.
And by good I mean horrendous.
His ability does NOT, in any way, make sense. Before he messed up the memories of people that he cut. For Orihime it became the reality that Shuu chan basically took her brothers role, but for everyone else this is a crock of bullshit, indicating that it did not actually happen, but is all in her head. Now, he actually, physically, in real life, changed reality.
This just screws continuity over so, so much. For starters, If reality is that Shuu chan visited the monument earlier, that means that whatever he was actually doing at that time, he now didn't. Can't be two places at once. And thus a causal avalanche starts to roll.
And someone please explain to me a) what the fuck Shuu-Chans trap did. Byakuya steps on a tile…then a wall pops up...then a large pile of blocks fall on him? What?
And b) How the hell does "inserting yourself into stuff you cut" let you build traps like that.
And I guess I'll be one of the few who found the Ikkaku/ punk kid part really really weak.
First off, Ikkakus suddenly acting damn noble for someone who guts teens from behind and lectures Ichigo about attacking with killing intent.
Secondly, the whole "don't die for others if they won't do the same! Everyones equal!" Is all fair and good and lovey dovey, but it just aint true. The brilliant super-strategist commanders death will be a greater loss than a private soldier, and I doubt firemen, policemen and the like stop to check if the people they are putting their lives on the line for are willing to do the same. But that's our world
The real problem is that such an ideology doesn't hold up in Bleachworld either. Just ask yourselves, would Old Man Genocide be willing to bite a bullet for random nameless weaksauce shinigami #91192? Or any named shinigami for that matter? And if you say that shinigami are risking their lives for humans not Yama, humans don't even know they exist.

All of these are relatively weak rebuttals to the main overarching point I'm making with Tobi = the original Sage. Plus, you also fail to offer an alternative to who Tobi is. There's no alternative you can offer that makes more sense than the one I threw up right now. And unless Kishi is going to pull a completely new character out of his ass at this late point, it seems as though the Sage is the strongest possibility for Tobi right now.
Tobi isn't the original Sage.
As a wise man on Fark once said about something completely unrelated:
@error303:
Once you get beyond the plausibility issues, what's left is actually an amazing storytelling opportunity. It's so stupid it's brilliant.
Okay I'm pissed, if "Tobi" (guess that's what we have to call him now) is Obito, then I will have lost ALL faith in Kishimoto. If Tobi just turns out to be a die-hard Madara fan (kinda like Tsukishima and Ginjo with Aizen) then it will sit better with me. If Obito is Madara and the fan girls win then it's simply just over.
Bleach was alright since Ikkaku was in it, telling that dumbass kid that he shouldn't die for Tsukishima, it feels like the same thing with the Espadas and Aizen. This is the same story repeating itself except with 2 Notaizens. So confusing -_-

Or he could just be Obito because the names being similar makes it the stupidest and simplest possibility, and thus the most likely.

Yeah… he would actually. He tried to when he fought Aizen.
Tsukishima's power would've been cool if this was actually shown thoroughly throughout the arc, but now it just feels like his power is like that because he says so.
And what's this about Byakuya's range? Since when?
I also don't get how he took the swords memory... no where was it discussed that they could do that. I thought fullbringers could only do "ONE thing".
AND the biggest question... WHY DIDN'T GINJOU POWER UP TSUKISHIMA? How did the time guy die? Why couldn't he just reverse time on himself?
Hopefully we will find out who Tobi actually is in a few chapters, unless Kishimoto decides to troll us with this.
Tobi is Sasuke's dad.
Yeah… he would actually. He tried to when he fought Aizen.

Well the smartest would be to STOP TIME and then casually walk over and decapitate your opponent I would think.
I was actually expected Kubo to do his cliche pop up behind him and be like "woah when did you get there" "i went back in time and thus was always there bullshit"

It's kind of like Renji acting like he's all noble and not wanting to hurt a woman after he hit that dirty boots girl with his sword hilt.

Fixed for a far more entertaining manga.

I bet Kubo's been continually patting himself on the back for coming up with something no mere sci fi author would ever dare–retroactive past manipulation. There's a reason they didn't, Kubo, it's because it makes no damn sense whatsoever.
Shuu-chan here might as well BE Kubo, he's weaponized the retcon and he practically thrives on self-conflicting aimless plots.
I don't remember who Obito is.
I don't remember who Obito is.
The only Uchiha who doesn't mope all the time, from Kakashi's flashback.
I like the new title.
Good to see I'm not the only one confused as all hell by this week's Bleach.
First off, I like the fact that Ikkaku was (at first) not willing to waste any more time on the punk, but his speech confounds me. He says comrades should risk their lives for each other on an equal basis, but two problems. A. The Shinigami are definitely not the types to consider each individual life of their comrade in battles…...see Mayuri turning his soldiers into bombs, Yamamoto planning to nuke Fake Karakura regardless of his subordinates being in the way, etc, etc.
B. Isn't he willing to fight and die under Kenpachi's command? Does it work the opposite way?
Now Byakuya vs Tsukishima. Well good job Kubo, you just left me scratching my head. You're telling me if Tsukishima has been to an area before, he can insert himself in it? What the heck? Last time I checked, Senbonzakura's Shikai doesn't have a range limit…...and now that Tsukishima grabbed Byakuya's zanpakutou, he knows the power of it? Honestly, his Fullbring seems…...extremely far-fetched when Kubo places it under nonliving conditions. I'm still stumped. (knew he would troll Byakuya somehow)
And I don't care what fauxAizen can do, Byakuya is one of more faster Shinigami, hands down. He should be shunpoing circles around this human.
And I don't care what fauxAizen can do, Byakuya is one of more faster Shinigami, hands down. He should be shunpoing circles around this human.
lol I completely forgot about that. Really, the whole overwhelming super speed thing stopped being a thing since like forever ago.
lol I completely forgot about that. Really, the whole overwhelming super speed thing stopped being a thing since like forever ago.
Actually, yeah…....but it can't be human > shinigami in terms of speed, right?
Page 19, with Tsukishima appearing behind Byakuya (the latter looking confused) is what catches my eye here.

The only Uchiha who doesn't mope all the time, from Kakashi's flashback.
Ahhh. Right right.
Also on Bleach. The range limit is dumb, and seems random. Especially when we've watched him trail someone with his sword's blades what looks like hundreds of feet. Tsukishima is most definitely within range.
I had also forgotten he's supposed to probably second fastest next to Yoroichi.
I really don't get how any of the Full bringers would be even close to a match. What training did they actually do to even be able to land a hit or defend themselves against people that trained for hundreds of years? Ichigo is apparently some golden child thing and got like eleventy training sessions to get that fast. Ishida has his Quincy training. They really need to have more full bring stuff explained better. Not piddly little flashbacks about child neglect either. What's the point of it all? Why would they be training in the first place? Do they not give off energy like most people with super natural powers? Are they new to town? How come nobody know about them? I need answers lol.
Edits: that video is awesome lol.
Read Naruto.
Okay, now I'm interested to see who's donning the Tobi persona if Madara is front of the troops.
Yeah… he would actually. He tried to when he fought Aizen.
As metamario said, Yama was willing to burn up anyone in the vicinity of his gigantic flame pillars if it meant getting Aizen. Difference with the Wonderweiss bomb was that the entire upper command of Soul Society would be vaporized, the pillars would fall allowing entry to proper Karakura town, and Aizen would live making it all pointless.
And yeah, the whole thing with Byakuyas range is pretty ridiculous, and with his reaction speed it looks like his sakura would have trouble catching a sloth. Seriously, I don't know if it's too troublesome to draw for Kubo now, but Byakuyas petals are just incredibly unimpressive now, they used to be a flying shrapnel blender and now they're barely even there.
And Shuu chan…even if you suddenly have seen Byakyas release a hundred times over (HOW?! Did he somehow rewrite history so that he regualrly visited SS and spied upon Byakyas training sessions without getting noticed!?! What the hell!) It still doesn't mean you can counter it. If I watch 200 video tapes of Muhamed Ali boxing fights it doesn't make me able to beat him. Because I know you appearantly think you're a real big shot, but the other guy has N times the experience and physical ability of you.
Yeah, you could know how Zenbonsakura works, and how to counter it in theory, but your ass is still getting shredded to bits.
So how does Kubo handle this?
By making post skip Byakuya ridiculously pathetic. Thats our Kubo!

Oh, I almost thought Naruto's awfulness would make you not care enough to post your response to Bleach !
You cannot imagine how much enjoyment these summaries of yours bring me.
Only thing related to Bleach I would enjoy more would be a whole special with Jidanbo and Yamamoto as the chief focus !

I really don't mind.
I hate the arrogant prick. I couldn't care less if Tsukishima makes him a regular on May Chan's Daily Life.
I'm so confused now, "Tobi" is not Madara so who the hell is he? Otherwise decent chapter.
I'm so confused now, "Tobi" is not Madara so who the hell is he? Otherwise decent chapter.
Obito or Madara's brother Izuna.
There was a penis in my Bleach chapter.
And if the mask-Madara is Obito, Kishi reads forums.
Then why doesn't he ever give screen time to the Konoha 12?
If Tobi/Madara doesn't turn out to be actually Obito, or at least some aspect of Obito (his body with another soul, or his soul in another body) then I will shit a brick and a half.
Tobi was destined to be revealed as Obito. Holy fuck, just look at their names. also, mask that only shows one eye? Long-lost dude with only one magic eye? and it's the same eye? plus Kishimoto's love for bullshit festering resentment and famous lineages?
It would be downright unkishimotian for him to be anyone else, at this point. He should've done the reveal earlier, instead of bringing up this Madara fucker as a false persona, but eh. At least Jiraiya wasn't the secret weapon.
My head hurts, my head literally hurts from all this stupid and confusing bullshit from Naruto and Bleach this week. Fuck this, I'm going to watch Beverly Hills Cop 3.

That's pretty neat. I really dig the Kumikyoku medley, but this was a mix I haven't heard before. I looked for a Naruto or Bleach themed one, but couldn't find anything.
so here's a Jojo-themed one, instead.
edit: for those who don't know, the Kumikyoku is a mix of a bunch of songs and tunes popular on Nico Nico, the Japanese youtube. They come from games, anime, and viral videos. You can probably recognize Dr. Wily's Castle from Megaman 2, Geno's Woods from Super Mario RPG, Hare Hare Yukai from The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi, the Levkan Polka, Carameldansen, and a bunch more if your powerlevel is high enough.
Sorry to interrupt, but im trying figure shuu-chan power, for example if shuu-chan cut a bread and insert a memory that bread is actualy a toast with butter that is about to be eaten by him, does that bread turn in to toast with butter when shuu-chan tries to eat it?
I feel that he changing reality basically.
Tobi used to be one of my favourite characters, back when he was teamed up with Deidara. IMO their dynamic worked really well.
it's a shame that things turned out the way they did.
@MDL:

Yes its shame really.
Deidara was a fun character in general, and he and Tobi made a great pair. Then naturally an Uchiha fucked up both of them
Well, can't say that I didn't enjoy this chapter (Naruto). I actually really enjoyed it because I was right about the person in the coffin being Uchiha Madara, along with many others, and was happy to have my thoughts confirmed. I was practically flipping the pages just to see his face revealed.
On the other hand there's Naruto saying he's totally worn out yet he has like 5 different clones in Kyuubi Mode all over the battlefield making it that much easier for the Kyuubi to sap his chakra. At least, Hinata was recognized. Not the love confession, but that's hardly the subject to discuss during a war.
Like armadillo penises and peeing.
