I saw Hamlet today. In the Round!! Surprisingly small stage.. It was really bizarre at parts. As in WOW this is not Hamlet at all. Claudius was portrayed as a bit of an alcoholic, which I dislike, the players be trolling which was amusing as fuck but not what I was expecting, Ophelia was whoa, Gertrude is okay, Cornelius > Voltemand (cuz Volte wasn't in the play), Polonius was really amusing, Laertes was who cares, and there was hilarity abound.
Hamlet is awesome, and Horatio is <3 And not just cuz he's pretty much the only sane person throughout the whole deal. I was creeped out by the ghost's second appearance because he showed up behind us on the stairs. And boy did they play up the sexual aspect, lots of touching. At least the Queen wasn't being all creepy like in the movies. <__< It came off as less amusing watching the final scene than reading it cuz it's literally like "I'm dead!!" dies "I am also dead!!" dies I just couldn't help but think of jinginai time when I read it and now can't unsee, but Horatio made the last scene so touching.
then afterward I ate at Chipotle where they had golden foil wrapped burritos!! I had ice cream from the weird convenience store that was sandwiched in between the noodles and chipotle. Fucking $3 ice cream was worth it. Even though I could get it in Israel for a third of the price for some reason. But Magnum is an awesome brand of ice cream.
