This might get moved here http://apforums.net/showthread.php?t=9201
There are quite a few similarities between Robin Beck & Nico Robin. Its may be, Oda got his inspiration for Nico Robin from Robin Beck. As we know Oda got Akainu character design from a Japanese actor.
1. Both have the same name 'Robin'. I always thought 'Robin' for a girls name is unique.
2. Their hairstyle is kind of similar.
3. Their looks/appearance is similar.
4. Robin Beck's get up in the video is very Nico Robin like. When I first saw the video, I was like wow she looks just like Nico Robin!!
. . . Your reasons are that you think they look similar and they have the same given name.
Robin is not actually odd for a girl's name. Robin Williams is MUCH more unique.
Oda usually gets inspiration from further back in history, or from other fictional characters (the latter being such as Zorro and Rudolph).
And the only thing that actually makes me doubt your conjecture (the above things were just "you don't really have a strong case, but it's not like this is counter-evidence") is that Oda has (apparently) stated somewhere that if Robin were a real person, she would be Russian.
And Robin's role is cast for the live-action One Piece movie.
Interesting theories, but I doubt Enel's back. His goal was to reach Endless Vearth, which turned out to be the moon. He got there, so there's no reason for him to come back.
While I don't know about Bege or Apoo's predicaments, Urouge is more likely encountering "lightning rain" the interesting weather phenomenon that Nami read about while on Weatheria.
the similarities are minute, at best. not near enough to start a whole thread.

I dunno, I've never met a guy named Robin, just girls.
Also, if you plan on negating my second point with the reiteration that Akainu is based on an actor, that is the case for all three admirals, and is a special shtick Oda did just for the admirals.
That analysis is good but I don't think it is plausible. Those islands were shown so that the readers will know how crazy New World is. It has nothing to do with Oda gesturing Enel will be back.
It is likely that those islands were (if not very far) apart. And to think that an old witch-looking woman trying to lend an "umbrella" (which we could assume is like the "coating" counterpart for this island) means that there have been a way to go to that island which has been there a very long time ago.
Robin Beck is American. Nico Robin would be, were she real, Russian.

good points indeed. It's a shame though, I would have liked him to come back and give the supernova's a hard time. I would've definately wanted to see a fight between him and Kid too XD
besides, having Bege, Urouge and Apoo at the "island" with Enel would be pure win in my book
Pretty sure Greg said that according to the databook Enel has a new goal which he's heading for right now.
Anyhow, the Strawhats reaching to that Lightning Rain island is very likely to happen. If they encounter Urouge there, things are going to be really interesting since we'll find out more about Enel's past and Bilka's destruction. But why would Urouge stay on that island for two long years? Unless he's trapped there, more specifically - by someone.
Don't you guys think OP is slowing over powering some characters. Blackbeard has two devil fruits and who knows the power he can fully unleash with not only his devil fruits, and raw strength but also his Haki. Also Luffy, he has all 3 types of haki, devil fruit, and his gears. Which although isn't as extreme as BB but slowly will be just as strong.
I'm pretty sure Blackbeard is supposed to be overpowered. It hypes up his eventual fight for Luffy and makes us wonder just how he's going to pull it off.

Yeah your right, but it just seems odd to me. Also i don't know how i can possibly bear the fact that the weakness called, "strawhats" that could be completely destroyed by 1 shichibukai, are coming to a end and soon enough 3 admirals won't be enough.
I wouldn't say the Shichibukai's threat is goin away anytime soon. Doflamingo is powerful and defeating Mihawk is, of course, Zoro's goal.

Well any character with a method of transport has a chance sure not 100% but a chance because of the 2 year time skip.
If Marco cries, his tears can heal wounds.
Discuss.
It would be more interesting if Marco's poop had magical healing properties.
So, what you are saying is that his tears will burn and heal wounds with the fire?
So, what you are saying is that his tears will burn and heal wounds with the fire?
Dunno.
It's a legend that if a Phoenix cries his tears can heal the wounds of other people.
But for Marco, I wouldn't know if it burns or not.
posted this on dumb predictions and i thought i should post it here too…
Sanji was right, Fishmen island is all blue. Or more likely, FI is the future all blue.
come to think of it… technically, FI is an invisible point where all of the oceans met(the 4 blues, GL, NW, and) --> see the map to get the picture.
all you gotta do is destroy part of redline where mariejoa lies (vertically, mariejoa and FI located at the same point. This is according to pappag's map). There will be two achievments afterwards :
1. Part of redline at that point will be vanished, thus allowing each ocean --along with all of the aquatic species which live there--to flow to the FI. The sea that surrounds FI will be packed with all kind of fishes + the population merfolks and fishmen themselves --> these conditions fit the definition of all blue.
2. mariejoa's destruction mean the defeat of WG. Therefore merfolks and fishmen will be freed from their everlasting discrimination.
theory might sound like bullshit but believe me... There are some considerable supporting facts behind it. It's just i'm not native speaker so I had hard times translating the full thing.
I don't really agree to Fishman Island being All Blue.
Not to offend you, but wouldn't that seem like the dumbest thing Oda has ever done if he would do that? :wassat:
I mean, lots of pirates get to FI, so lots of pirates would've found All Blue already, even if they don't realize it.
All Blue should be hard to reach, that's why I believe that it's around/near Raftel. Raftel is also close to the Center of the word, right? And if All Blue would be on one of the 7 GL routes, it would be too much of a coincidence if you found it. No, imo it's gotta be near Raftel.
Also, someone posted a nice theory on this forum (don't know who. maybe it was even in this thread).
He said that All Blue was near Raftel, because it unites the four seas into One Piece.
So all that together is enough for me to believe it.
I am predicting that Caribou is likely to impersonate Luffy.
His Logia ability being a mud like substance means he could manipulate himself to look similar - perform the actions of Luffy - perhaps not change to be the same colours but how hard would it be to find a strawhat.
Could be completely wrong need to think on it a lot more.

well, my point was : you don't find all blue, you create it.
The invisible point I was talking about should exist at two place, first at mariejoa/merman island and the second at reverse mountain. Well, it kinda hard to imagine unless you see some related maps. Simply said, there will be two all blues, on FI and reverse mountain(the near raftel one). Because they both are the points where the four seas, GL, NW, and Calm Belt met.

creating it would ruin the legend of it already existing.
remember in Loguetown, where the fish from South Blue got there due to Reverse Mountain being able to gather fish from all over the world?
That's why it should already exist, and it's another reason why it should be near Raftel. (like you said)
And no, that wasn't where I read it.

The 4 seas wouldn't be connected, though. There'd be a bunch of Grand Line and Calm Belt in the way. Reverse Mountain is special because it pulls water directly from the 4 seas.
Dunno.

If Marco's tears would heal wounds, he'd cry his ass out on WB's chest and all that..he didn't. I think that is proof enough he isn't able to heal wounds

wow, nice one…
didn't even think of that.
If you would've talked about the moment Ace died, or when Whitebeard gave his final order, I would've had enough proof that Marco could still heal.
But if he could've done it, he should've indeed been able to heal the Squardo and Akainu wounds.
But it's possible that he wasn't aware of this power during the war.
I have a feeling that Sanji will seriously contemplate leaving the crew in this arc.
Hachi and Mohmoo will meet again at Fishman Island and Mohmoo will join Hachi's restaurant team.
camie really remind me of conis
i think they're gonna have same roles

this will prob happen 10 points to hufflepuff
Well, I don't know If you think that the sword of Ryuboshi is a normal sword or a rare one. For me it seems like a sea stick or something and I say this because if this is the case I think Zoro will fight against him and then Brook will fight Hyouzou.
For the ones that doesn't know what I'm talking about is the bottom panel of this page:
@Hespia:

Yeah, but Conis sucks :getlost:
I have two theories,
The First is That Big Mam or Big Mom whatever you want to call her is none other than Lola's Mom, my reason for believing this is that i think Luffy and his crew will meet all Four emperors at some point in time. also Lola said that her mom was a great pirate in the new world, also Lola is pretty Big and Ugly, and based on Big Mam's Silhouette so is she, though this could just be a coincidence with Oda drawing new Uglies Every chapter.
My Second Theory is that Trafalgar Law Motive in saving Luffy wasn't just that they made a connection At the Archipelago, I think Law's Ulterior Motive was to Achieve some Pull With the Revolutionaries. If you didn't notice Law left after the cameras were shut off almost directly after Luffy's connection to dragon was revealed. If all he wanted to do was save Luffy i think he would have left as soon as Luffy popped up at Marine Headquarters. If that isn't the case it could also be that Law already has a preexisting relationship with the Revolutionaries or just Dragon.

You stated the obivious.

I agree, cause i think The arc with Dofla as a villan, will be the One Luffy meet his Father. And Law is trying to get closer to the Revolutionaries must be in order to Deal against Dofla. You know Something big must be going in North Blue, Like 2 opposits Currents, each with its own Believes and its Related to the Smile in their Jolly Roger.
You stated the obivious.
ok sure it's sorta obvious, but it needed to be stated cuz some people don't think…not aimed at anyone in particular.

i dunno seems like a jump to me but you've got some logic so we shall see.
Oh and im adding another theory just for kicks
some how the straw hat pirates are gonna meet and rescue Jewelry Bonny
at some point. she will either join the straw hats or not…doesn't matter thats not the important part. Luffy will fall For her due to her gluttony. and my proof is
"DON'T TAKE MEAT SO LIGHTLY!!!"

I never saw it that way
I mean…well....I hope It happens ! Though Bonney may end up being Luffy Rival when it come to food instead of Lover.
Sabo and Luffy will meet again on the island that Ace is buried at. That way, the 3 brothers will all be together again…sort of.
Luffy will show us 4th Gear soon. fully vulcanized body.
since luffy screwed arlong's nose all those years ago, maybe it was completely broken and so so of it had to just come off. and so he has the same kind of nose as Der Dekken! he also has the same kind of chin.
who knows???
i think van der Decken is that guy who will destroy FI. look at his wanted poster, he wears a strawhat
i think van der Decken is that guy who will destroy FI. look at his wanted poster, he wears a strawhat
That would kill the surprise.
I mean, if Decken turned out to be the main villain of this arc and Luffy is the one who gonna save the day, that would be same old pattern all over again.

Good one!
I'd also buy that, because look @ Law's crew. some of them have similar hats as some of the revolutionaries. could be rather possible that law has connection to the rev army.
i think van der Decken is that guy who will destroy FI. look at his wanted poster, he wears a strawhat
I could see that happening, would fit in Oda's style. Usually the villain is made clear very early in the arc or at least hinted to. Though I wonder if van der Decken is really strong enough to be the main villain of this arc alone. Somehow I get the impression he's not, and if he shows up again it'll be him kidnapping the princess while someone else is going wild on FI.
I think that vander decken and his crew could be giants (or even giant fishmen if they exist).
Only see the difference between the sunny and vander decken's ship:

Also see this image that compares the merry whit broggy:

if they were giants, the vander decken I could have born on the void century because of giants live 300 years (guessing that they have childs around of theirs 100 years. (the Vander decken of this times is actually the nineth) http://mangastream.com/read/one_piece/74136489/13

if your talking about half giant, half fishmen then yes they do exist and they are called Wotan

Big pan from the foxy pirates was one.

:blink:Well, I had forgotten of it.
Anyways, I'm not sure if vander decken's crew are giants or wotans, because of this:

Brook said that they were from the surface, but this could be also part of the legend.
