-Coribou helps the Straw Hats (for his own survival, yes, but still)
-Coribou's crew dies (there is simply no way they could have survived)
-Coribou has not attempted anything yet against the SHs.I still think he might be the next crew member. He has nothing to go back to anymore. Plus, it'd be nice to have a Logia in the crew.

Unlikely - Luffy used his Balloon ability to block a punch from Sengoku - if it had been Haki infused there is no way Luffy would have been able to fight his way out with Ace after being hit.
Pell survived because he is a Falcon - Stop using him as a bad example.

I'm pretty sure she used a bunch of hands. The reason it doesn't look that way is because of the scale of the picture. The hands are to small of a detail to be presented. This is just my speculation.

She used many hands to form 2 bigger ones. Nothing could be more obvious. We clearly see a bunch of hands, and she says "Mil Fleur".
But it's true that it's a bit confusing, because her two giant hands really look like they are real ones… Not made of a thousand hands. That's a strange way of drawing them ^^ -

Now that we have seen a shark using a shirt together with the Kraken (and the chapter has shown that, contrary to what the spoiler said, the shark hadn't been eaten by the Kraken), it seems like now it may be worth to post my theory about the Kraken.
I think that the Fishman put him there to block the path most used by pirates to reach the sea bottom (and therefore reach Fishman Island), and this was the way they found to stop pirates from reaching their island by this side of the Grand Line (there may be some kind of protection similar in the other side of the red line), and this was done to try and protect their island from pirates, since they are now without the protection that they had thanks to Whitebeard's name.
I suspected this could be the case since last week, but now that we saw that the Kraken was accompanied by a shark using a shirt (which could be a shark from Fishman Island sent there with the Kraken to stand guard protecting that place, and to give orders to the Kraken), and that the shark even tried to wake him up after Luffy knocked him down, my theory seems to have become more likely to be true.
On another matter, I wonder if Cariboo will use this opportunity to attack the crew while the monster trio is lost, the darkness should present several openings for him to attack. And it is worth to mention that he appears to be nowhere to be seem after Usopp awakes in the last page, he may already be planning something.

There's a reason it's called "Mille Fleur", Thousand Flowers.
So yeah, it's not a single hand, but alot of hands forming one giant hand.

The first one you stated was true, but the second one, did you not see them floating upwards in the bubbles? Returning to the surface? I don't think Oda would have bothered putting that there if they were dead. They would be bubbleless bodies floating to the surface if they were dead. He's separated from his crew, but they're definitely not dead.

I agree that it is quite possible that the kraken was put there for protection. The shark could very easily be working for the fishmen.
The other option is that it's a friend of Keimi's. Wait wait! I just thought of something. The shark ate Keimi!
I'm also wonder what Caribou is doing through all of this, and what he's going to do now that the monster trio are no longer on board.

-It was not off-screen. It was a guy drowning. thousands of meters deep. No oxygen. No ship.
-The brother has had about 3 lines since its first appearance, and the random crew members did NOTHING. Oh, they dug a hole for one panel.
-The lone marine scout Caribou killed seemed pretty dead to me. So were countless marines and pirates during the War. Fodder characters CAN die.
-They already MADE their comeback. -

there's no where for a DF user to escape to under sea. Shark will prob help them.

I have a feeling that the shark in the t-shirt (anyone else notice the criminal brand?) is a baddie who was using the kraken to block everyone's paths, and shat himself when the kraken was KO'd and returned to Fishman Island to confer with his superiors. Expect him to come up later in the story.
Only, I'm not sure what he would be classified as? Fishman? Merman? Now that I think about it, he may be a talking fish, just like Camie's mate, Pappugg, the talking starfish.

I have a ton of reasons for why it's a horrible idea for him to join, but I got the same feeling you did when I read this chapter. It seems like Oda is whitewashing him and making him more useful, which IMO is not good at all. I'd still like to believe Oda will not be crazy enough to let a psychopathic killer join the crew…
