I'm going to laugh my ass off when Kubo finally gives Sasakibe a zanpakutou ability and it works nothing like the personification from the Zanpakutou Rebellion filler. Kinda like how he trolled everyone who expected something like the games for Shunsui and Ukitake. What? Wind? No he plays games. What? Lightning and waves? No, he just redirects things. I mean, the release commands and names hinted more toward what the games did for those two than what Kubo randomly came up with…

I'm really expecting the 'big loophole' to be that he lost his shinigami power… but not his hollow power. Something dumb happens(go figure), and he gets pitted against SS again because they have to send him to hell now even if they don't want to. They probably will send him to hell and oh hey Aizen is already hanging out there :/
You know, call me crazy, but I would actually like a storyline like that… If anything, it'd be better than the Espada bullshit. Say what you like of the Soul Reapers, but you have to admit they are better to read/watch about than anyone from Hueco Mundo for the most part.
Just finished the new episode. Handled very well, once again. Too bad this was really the last decent fight of this arc. I do kind of wish they would have shown what happened to Kensei though, but it's not their fault - it's Kubo's. But yeah, all the fights after this are pure nonsense. Who knows, maybe the anime will make them somewhat more entertaining...

I find it hilarious that regular old Hollows are a big deal now, given what's dominated Bleach for the past few years.
It reminds me of how Digimon's first season featured Mega Digimon, but by Zero getting to regular Champion was some kind of huge accomplishment. Even then, the only way to get to Ultimate was through DNA Digivolutions, none of the Zero Digimon ever got to Ultimate on their own power like in Adventure.

I really don't know what to make of these spoilers. Karin (or Yuzu….......yeah right) as the protagonist sounds like a neat idea I guess, what with the whole female lead concept, but I'm sure Kubo will find a way to screw it up somehow.

Just because her spiritual powers are increasing doesn't mean she's going to take over for Ichigo. It would be like replacing Luffy with… Camie mid series, or Goku with Android 18. Or Naruto with Tenten. Characters that have had only a passing impact on the series in their supporting roles. None of them are shonen protagonists (though all of them would be better protagonists than Ichigo). JUMP wouldn't let Kubo! What's more, Kubo doesn't have the balls to replace Ichigo.

I'm going to rain on the parade and assume Ichigo will stay main protagonist. He made cover page. Maybe his sister will have more screentime, but I doubt that's lasting long.
Then again, given Kubo's record on plot progress, it might be a long time before Ichigo gains his powers again.
