I agree with you there - it's a shame One Piece had been ruined by such poorly done english conversions - but we all know what good intentions lead to.

I'm aware of it but I haven't checked out any of their work what with the whole not allowed to view anything from the states outside the states till it is released there. And to be honest the 4Kids versions are still being played around the world leading new generations to get hooked on a flawed version of the series and suffer a touch of shock when they see the real deal.

Why would it add filler in the middle of the war? I mean actual, completely different story line filler, not the episode stretching stuff OP has been doing for years? This isn't Bleach.
There's been no filler so far. The anime is still covering canon material. The last time we had any honest-to-goodness filler was close to a year ago with the (in name only) Movie 10 tie-ins.
Oh there will be filler, maybe not during the war. But my god there will be filler not so far in the future.
Sorry to make a whole thread for this but I've seen the first three One Piece movies and they barely interested me. Do you think I should watch the rest of them?

Movies 1,2, and 3 are all terrible (well I guess that's just my opinion but I believe it's a widely shared one).
Movie 10 is done by oda so of course it's great but movie 6 (Omatsurishima) is….AMAZING. I'd say it's the best of the non-Oda made movies. In fact, personally I think I like it as much as Strong World.
4,5, and 7 are nothing really special but they're entertaining (they're like good filler arc I guess)

…9 is really good too. Sure, it's basically just a recap of the Drum Island arc, but it managed to faithfully replicate all the important parts, (with some moments actually working better than their TV-series equivalents in my opinion) and there are enough changes to keep things entertaining while still remaining true to the spirit of the original.
(…And I'm totally not plugging Movie 9 because my group is finally releasing our sub of it in a couple of days, no sir! Or, okay, maybe a little, but I really do think it's an excellent movie.)
Am I the only one who likes the Boss Luffy fillers?
I like the Boss Luffy fillers, probably because whatever happens in them can't affect the actual storyline. Plus they can easily bring back older characters that you probably won't be seeing in the actual storyline anymore.
Eh, for me I think those fillers have lost their novelty. I think the anime should branch out into some of the other elseworlds, or even come up with their own. I know I'd watch a whole series based on the "No Respect Time" world.
Hm, I've always felt like OP fillers are surprisingly better than other anime fillers, but then again I still haven't finished with watching Enies Lobby so I can't say if they've lost their novelty.
I would love more "No Respect Time"!! there's like literally a ton of different things they could do besides that too. I wish Toei had a suggestion box where fans can request stuff and the best idea gets animated or something. after all fans can get really creative with ideas.

You may be hard pressed to locate them so far after the fact - you could try searching some sites but might be better off buying them as their translated and just living with the MKV ones their crappy quality but their there and some sites may still host streaming versions.

probably cause he wanted to watch it as data video rather than going through the trouble of making them into actual dvd which is probably hard too with mkv, and the only good thing about mkv really is smaller size for high quality because soft subs just suck for everything else vary from watching it on tv to uploading it on online site compare to hard subs

I do MKV so I can get the subs all in one. Personally, I find that MP4 has the tendancy for the video to mess up or 'stick' more, while Avi less. So I'd say Avi, but Kaizoku I believe started using MP4 because Avi is becoming somewhat outdated.

It has to end at some point, as do all great stories. If it never ends one of two scenarios will happen, Oda will retire and we will never get a finally OR One Piece will live forever in other peoples' images. And we all know we don't want anyone else writing One Piece.
