How positive are we that we're going to get a scanlation by weds night? I want to make sure i don't get spoilers at all that night and then accidentally walk in on people crying for the scans so they can read "such and such scenario in clear english".

Yeah, that's when they were making less and less new episodes. I watched some new eps in 09 and they were sad. Way too much relying on gay jokes and making fun of anyone who isn't white. They pretty much ruined Stewie and Bryan's character. Bryan is a douchebag now and Stewie is a gay manwhore. I think if they had a 5 year time skip with Meg and Chris in college, Stewie in school and Peter and Lois older they would have dozens of fresh ideas and could probably attract a whole new audience.

But i think i'm putting too much thought and fate into the writers of Family Guy.

5 years later would just be college jokes with Chris (probably have a evil chimpanzee in his closet), not much would change with Meg except some added gimmick or temporary role reversal of her character, they already made Stewie gay so he'd stay that way, same with Brian.

A lot of members(Including me) are a bit skeptic to legitimate September 2010 posters because, well of this break. The reason we have a lot of members join is because of the spoiler thread, then during this break when a chapter hasn't come out in weeks, you have people coming on saying "Were is the chapter' or "Where are my spoilers, people need to find these things" and "is Oda dead, is the series canceled?"

And then we have all of the September 2010 posters who haven't bothered to read the rules in the least, just come onto a thread, not even thinking of using the always handy search function. And when you have a month of no One Piece, you tend to get angry real fast at 2010 posters, when they all seem like just three or four really annoying posters who never learn.

Obviously there are new users who have actually read the rules, will use the search function before asking a common question, and will not be using generic internet meme images and stock phrases.

Seems like you're confusing "forum newbies" with new members.

This is kind of a derail, but . . . the search function's not so great. For example, as a new member, I wanted to search the Theories thread for previous ideas about Doc Q. Guess what I got:

The following words are either very common, too long, or too short and were not included in your search : doc, q

In this case, if you search for anything like "next One Piece issue" and get all the terms stripped from your search but "piece" and "issue," you're still going to get the "Absent from JUMP for One Month" thread first, assuming you search for individual posts . . . but a newbie could just as easily search for threads and be totally lost, and then not bother searching again because of the minute-long delay between searches. Plus lag time.

tl;dr - Newbies should just use Google already.
