"A timeskip sadden me" Haha.
@JERK:
Oh hey, it's another 4chan regurgitation poster.
U seem to be extra crabby today.
How do we know that the series is halfway through?
Supposedly the same interview Oda said that One Piece Strong world will be Luffy's last adventure as a 17 year old(what people saw as a subtly time-skip hint). He also said that the story will be halfway through once the crew reached fishmen island.
Not sure on how true that it is though I never actually read/saw the actual interview just heard it from other peeps.

nah that's just how he is. crabby disease LOLOLOLOLOLOL
In the 4 years I've spent here I don't think I've seen a lot of worse theories than "Zoro will smother Mihawk with a pillow during the timeskip"
These people I swear

It is spreading fast.

Law resurrecting Ace has to be the epitome of shit theories.
Zoro murdering Mihawk in the observatory with the candlestick during the timeskip is, however, really fucking stupid.
So much bullshit coming from a 2007-er.

Oh Aldrich, how I miss your humor.
I'm taking the stance that the people behind these theories are just messing with the forum base. :ninja:
Knowing AlmostLegendary, I doubt he was trolling. Though, I have been wrong at judging people.
I wish I could just tally all of the ridiculous things I've read posted by Almost Legendary but I've erased them from my mind.
But as of recently he had the simple minded theory that Sabo's sole reason for joining the crew would be to make up for Ace's death and to protect Luffy.
I've argued with him a couple times and I know there is worse from him and he's capable of even more nonsensical blabber.
@Sea:
You will eventually laugh, because that is the urge that lies deep down inside you. You can't escape it, no matter how you try to be civil and friendly. The satisfaction of watching violence, someone crushing someone else, which you read fighting manga for.

Wow, I don't recognize the show (sorry if it's something popular), but that was fucking PAINFUL.

It's from Gantz. A really disturbing seinen. You love it or you hate it, but no way you will feel indifferent to it.
I am not fond of Gantz much.
Let's me tell you something, son. Whether you enjoy violence or not, be a man. That's all that matters.

LOL. Touche, brat.
@JERK:
good theories like Kuma using biblicard paper in his bible.
This is actually the first time I've heard this mentioned.
I like it.

Oda's been saying for ten years that Fishman island was the halfway mark.
Of course, he might have just meant of the grandline, and not the story.

Lol, you make it seem as if the hate is troubled revulsion rather then "geez who wrote this, beavis?"

! Hello everybody. My name is Kelvin, and I would like to share with you a theory that I've had for a while about Bartholomew Kuma. I've searched around, and I didn't find any similar theories, but I'm sorry if you've posted it before.
! You can find a copy of this theory on my Tumblr.
! I've had this hunch for a long time. It just came to me one day; I don't know if this has been posted before, and I hope no one steals this:
! When English words are introduced to the Japanese language, they can become corrupted when they are shortened or mispronounced.
For example in English, the acronym VIP has each letter in the acronym pronounced (vee-ai-pee), but in Japanese it is pronounced as it looks: vip (as in it rhymes with the word tip).
! Now on to my theory-
! Consider this about Bartholomew Kuma:
! 1. He carries around a book entitled Bible
! No consider these facts:
! 1. The word Bible can be read in Japanese as biburu (like bee-boo-roo).
! I believe that the book that Bartholomew Kuma carries around is an index of Vivre Cards of important and significant people. Notice that when he asks people where they would like to go, he is flipping through his Bible. When looking through it, he is confirming a target person's location so he can send the individual in front of him to that location with a certain degree of accuracy.
! That's just my stupid theory. I think it'd be pretty fun if I was right.

Yes, I pieced together myself the logic after hearing Zephos' one sentence. Your expounding upon it is appreciated, but unnecessary.
Its a pretty good theory and makes perfect sense.

Yeah np, also thanks about the fishmen island comment didn't know Oda was saying that for the past 10 years. Since I only got into one piece little over a year ago.
This is my prediction for the next Shichibukai :V
Wow, Bon Clay really let himself go in a couple of years.

Which would make it easy to track down Thriller Bark while its in the middle of the Florian Triangle.
That was a good observation by that poster.

oh, damn, that's right
there's THREE positions to fill there …
I'm feeling semi-better about the timeskip now if that means more badassery slowly trickling into the three main powers like that

This is gold. I really like this.
I like it too, BUT, if the vivrecards were all inside and it is actually a book like one would use for stamp collections or whatever, wouldn't the book start to burn when someone's life force, of whom there is a vivre card inside, decreases? I mean, it starts to smolder and a book is made of paper and he is seen flipping through it so it is made of paper, right?
Also, can vivre cards actually be destroyed if you light them yourself?
And if they smolder, can they make other things burn? Like if Luffy were to hide it in his hat, like it is right now, and Rayleigh dies or is severely injured, does his hat catch fire?
What if the pages of that book is made out of the same material as vivrecards? Aren't they suppose to be fire and water resistant? Kuma could just have pasted other vivre cards on it.
pasting wouldn't be any good because the whole point of a vivre card would be lost since it points to the direction a person is in. When pasted it would be stuck
Or maybe the pages ARE the vivre cards. He holds up the page and watches which side it flaps towards. :P

Wouldn't be very satisfying if the New World wasn't at least as long as Paradise:/
Sure it could. It would just mean that the islands are more dangerous/ interesting, the battles are bigger/longer/ more intense/ and I think there'll be more marines in the the last half compared to paradise.
More action and drama and plot in exchange for less islands is alright by me.
I'd expect new islands and the arcs for them to be longer. More adventure as the main plot develops, possibly more ship to ship battles since the amount of islands to reach the end is less.

Longer arcs than Skypia ,Alabasta or Water7 ^^
Oda still has enough to do..wouldn`t be shocked when already FI will be a long long arc in the end^^
And yep i rly hope for seafights in this PIRATE-MANGA°
I'd say as long as Skypeia and Water 7.
I guess Oda should stay with 6-7 volumnes for a big arc..or it gets quick boring(even when Oda would be able to pull a 10 volumnes arc and make it damn interesting^^)
But then it should have differnet locations (like Water7\EL].
@Thousand:

I don't see why it wouldn't Oda said he's only half way there.
This. and this only
