I think that in the next chapter we see everyone on their islands saying goodbye to the inhabitants, teachers or okama's for a good closure to the time skip. It would be strange to have them suddenly gather at SA with no explanation at all. I mean, we haven't even a clue how Brooke will be able to get back and Franky could make an icebreaker but the fact is we don't know. Zoro's a problem too. I mean, he can't even find his way on Shabaody so how to hell would he get back even if he gets a boat in 2 years time?
I would like this to be explained before they actually get to SA.
What I will write next, I hope will not happen but here goes anyway:
What if, after 2 years, Zoro says: "give me a boat I am out of here." and mihawk is like, about time you went you freeloader and take that irritating ghost chick with you. (Zoro:) I'll do no such thing, you keep her (Perona: Hey, I'm not your pet)
Zoro leaves and starts to walk but immediately walks back into the castle, not understanding why he is there and Mihawk laughs: I see you need a navigator, take the ghost girl or you will never get back!
Zoro: Damn you, I will definitely kick your ass mihawk!
Mihawk: Whahahahaha
Perona: Why are you the ones to decide this?
Z + M: Shut up ghost girl
Perona: SSCCAAAAARRRYYYYYYYYYY
Theories That Don't Deserve Their Own Thread

Lola's mother from the new world is totally gonna be Big Mom.
-
I think Kuma captured the Sunny and he sent it to the New World G5 base because Smoker has requested it and will be stationed there and it would be the perfect bait to capture them, they know the SH's will go to the New World no matter what but don't know where any of them are. They'll travel to FI in another ship, perhaps a small one that Rayleigh uses at times or one from the Rosy life riders.
Maybe Rayleigh will travel with them to free Shakky or something. This would finally lead directly into the Fishmen island arc and get things moving and their first opponents in the New World will be Smoker which should be one cool fight at that point. -
I wonder how far in rank Coby, Helmeppo and Smoker will rise after the skip? So many cool possibilities are among us.
-
Smoker should be a rear admiral. Tashigi will probably be a captain.
I forget what their ranks are now but I don't think they'll be captains so ensigns.
-

I think smoker will definitely be a vice admiral the next time we see him as he is currently commodore and I believe in two years he will be able to pass rear admiral to reach Vice admiral, as for Coby I think he will reach the rank of Captain and Helmeppo will probably be his second.
-
@Zik:

Smoker yes - maybe even Vice Admiral, but I could see that happening down the line. I don't think Tashigi will get all the way up to Captain. I'm thinking maybe Lieutenant Commander.
Edit: The main reason I consider VA is because this could be Oda's way of showing us Smoker has been doing his own training and kicking ass in the New World, keeping his presence and threat to Luffy alive and well.
-
The hierarchy of positions slipped my mind. So I just went with Smoker's old position for Tashigi.
I figure he'll get VA position after we see him do something in the NW not just after the time skip. Like marines will call him Rear Admiral Smoker, he'll capture a bunch of NW pirates or something or maybe another interaction with the SHs where he takes the credit but actually does something this time and gets promoted to VA.
I really don't see Coby being a captain though. I'd need Oda to dedicate a good amount of time to show me his character development as far as being a pussy. He can still be naive and all that and a little doubtful but to be a captain I'd expect him to be more firm in dealing with pirates.
-
Smoker before the break was a commodore.
-
I know. I meant old position as in captain.
-
Smoker is going to take out scratchman apoo during the timeskip. It's what I would do.
-
Scratchman is way too cool to die in a timeskip!
-
Magellan will become an Admiral.

We haven't yet seen Zoan fruits of animals that are unique to One Piece (y'know, sea king, hiking bear, den den mushi, etc.). And we haven't yet seen what Doc Q's power is, assuming he has one. And we're always looking for symmetries between the Blackbeard Pirates and the SH Pirates.
I'm not trying to deduce anything from these statements (which is good, because they don't add up to much). They're just my prelude to this crackpot theory: wouldn't it be sweet if Doc Q had a Kestia Zoan fruit? In that case, his sickly appearance would be due to carrying deadly diseases (which his DF might only provide partial immunity to while he's in human form). I'm imagining a fight in which Chopper is reluctant to beat down a sickly old man, but then Doc Q transforms into a hideous tick-man hybrid and you get the classic Chopper's-eyeballs-popping-out-in-surprise reaction shot.
It almost works out that Doc Q wouldn't have revealed such a power yet: it would be useless on Ace and Akainu, who can kill off bacteria with heat, and Magellan, who I imagine could kill off bacteria with poison (and who caught the Blackbeard Pirates by surprise, anyway). But there's no good reason that I can think of why we wouldn't have seen it at Marineford or even Jaya. Hmm. Must think of ways to justify crackpot theory.
-
I too think Q has a Devil's Fruit, but I think it's more that he absorbs diseases form others.
-
Since I couldn't find a thread for it, I figured I'd put it here. It's about Jewelery Bonney and her relationship with the WG. Bonney herself is not important. For all I care, she was a former slave girl to fill this purpose. It's her Devil Fruit that holds the key to the World Government wanting her so badly. The Gorosei are the same individuals who have been running the World Government since the Blank Century. Bonney is just the latest in a line of unfortunate souls that have been given the task of eating the fruit and granting the Gorosei their youth. For some reason, they're unwilling to eat it themselves (maybe because they each have a power already). Whitebeard or Ace had something to do with her recent escape which was why she was saddened by their deaths.
-
This may be a very stupid theory, but wouldn't a devil fruit user techically be able to swim if using Armament Haki to shield himself from the ocean water?
-
It isn't a literal suit of armor so no.
-
It does repel other things, so why not water?
But nah, it's probably a stupid idea anyway. Oda wouldn't just remove the main character's weak point like that. I just thought I'd lay it out there, just in case.

Ever noticed that Blackbeard's flag has the same three skull thingy that both Oars were wearing?
So here you go… Blackbeard is half-beast (which seems to be the name of that race, not sure), knows and honors this by using the three skull as his symbol. This is what his "abnormal constitution" is all about. His human self handle a fruit and his beast self can handle the other one.
What the three skulls represent? No clue..
Which brings me to a crazier one, the beast race got wiped out during the void century by normal humans and they've been trying to cover it up for centuries. Blackbeard will learn it later when at mamixum power and rage war against the government to avenge them.
In other words, Blackbeard is Sephiroth.
-
If he were half-Oars, wouldn't he at least be Kuma/Moria-sized, just for starters?
-
Well… perhaps the half-beast doesnt quite fit. I could definately see a connection. Just dont know what
-
Well, the thing is his Jolly Roger is a reference to the Cereberus and the Moirae. Oars and Jr.'s necklaces remind me of Dhalsim from Street Fighter, more then that really.

I'm going to say that Doflamingo will be the second or third main antagonist after the time skip, and he will be the major villain of his arc (and that saga). I'm guessing whatever happens next will be part of an arc that will be included in a Fishman Island saga. It's safe to say some antagonist will show up then.
Then, after that, I think something else will probably have to go down before the World Government sets its attention on the Straw Hats, unless the World Government is directly involved in the events at Fishman Island. If they are involved, then Doflamingo will probably be the next villain, but if not, there will probably be one before him to set up reasons for Doflamingo to get involved. I just figure he would be under direct orders to eliminate the Straw Hats now that they're causing trouble in the New World, and that he would accept those orders because he would think it sounds FUN.
Then after whatever happens, he'll quit being a Shichibukai.

Norland was a lot stronger than Zoro (at least, the Zoro in Skypia). He effortlessly killed one of those giant snakes whereas Zoro couldn't even scratch one.

You need to consider in the factor that Norland was still in the Blue Sea when he killed that snake. Zoro on the other hand fought a snake that was up 10000 miles in the sky being that high it's body is bound to change with the environment.

This is my rambling of "theories"
I think blackbeard and the world government will become the main antagonists in the end. I think Doflamingo will join Blackbeard for some reason. Aokiji will fight Akainu and lose. Sengoku and Garp will somehow help the revolutionaries. Sengoku, Garp, and Dragon will all die. The Schichibukai will be disbanded and the individual members will join different factions. Gecko Moria will become a zombie.
-
Coby will obtain the Mera Mera no mi.
-
moria will ressurect himself as a zombie.
akainu wil become fleet admiral, and it will piss sengoku off. -
Sanji will be the one to defeat doflamingo, with him overcoming the body control by not hitting nami/robin.
-
moria will ressurect himself as a zombie.
akainu wil become fleet admiral, and it will piss sengoku off.-cough- Moria isn't dead -cough-
But the second one is almost certainly true. -
-cough- Moria's status is still unconfirmed, He just simply disappeared -cough-
Sengoku for Bronze Statue nakama.
-
doflamingo said moria disappeared, but he also said he was in critical condition and couldn't survive. i think (hope) moria will survive, but his body will just be dead. aka. he'll be a zombie.

Mihawk is obvioudly an equivalent of Zoro.
Hancock reminds me of Nami.Nami's bounty is 16 million and Zoro's bounty is 120 million. It is 7.5 higher. IF Hancock and Mihawk are really their equivalent. Then Mihawk's bounty could be 600 million if you multiply Hancock's bounty by 7.5 as well.
Of course this is only speculation but there are interesting clues. Mihawk and Zoro love to nap and have one hell of a killing intent. They went to Loguetow to begin their adventure to the Grandline at the same age.
Nami and Hancock had terrible past like slaves. They despise their tatoos slave. They love to steal by using their charms. Finally, Nami said at Thriller bark that Usopp and Chopper will forgive her because she is cute.

I always thought that the captured Bonney will be used by the Marines to bring youth back to the Gorosei. I always thought the Gorosei were really strong, so what if they were brought back to their younger former selves?
Bonney does have some sort of connection to the Marines or World Government. Maybe she is the daughter of one of those higher ups Doflamingo mentioned.

As far as One Piece goes, willpower, drive, and ambition are what is emphasized in terms of reaching the relative top.
Talent in the Naruto sense is very low key. If not non-existent.
Pretty obvious really. But you know how people can be.

This has probably been posted before,
But I think Lola's mother is one of the Yonkou. Just because of the name, I think its Big Mom
Maybe she's not her real mother, similar to how the WB crew called WB father. -

Sure has. Don't sweat it though - trouble is the slow-ass search tool on this website…

ok I'm bored, so how about this.
I think these two have some conection between them and why just look
at the pictures.!
they look a like and they have a monkey, so what do you think?
-
Ok here's one..
It might not be for a while in the story line.. But do you think any improvements will be made to the Thousand Sunny ? Especially with Franky learning and most likely memorizing Vegapunks blueprints. Obviously not including the coating, but maybe with the ships weapons, docks ect ?

Well of course, and it might actually happen pretty soon even before they reach fishman island.
-
Maybe Kuma damaged it, and franky will improve the ship before they even leave the island
-
Perhaps.. Maybe a copy of kuma (forgot the name) will be there guarding it, and this will give us a glimpse of the SH's power up ?

They already defeated a pacifista though, maybe if they defeated the real Kuma, that would show an improvement
-
When did they defeat a pacifist.. ? My memory must be getting bad lol
-

Just after Sentomaru, another one, Kizaru and then Kuma showed up.

I'm thinking Doflamingo is a WG noble who left to be free along time ago because it had its advantages. This would also explain him having such a high bounty, and the connections he has within the WG and the world. He has the kind of attitude that seems to think himself born to power.
