The delays and time frame sound reasonable. It's a shame FUNimation's response to the Film Z Madman leak and my inquiry about the subject at Anime Boston killed my enthusiasm over it.

So they'll announce this at anime boston, you think?
Probably, or maybe even tomorrow now that the jig is up.

Well, this is interesting. Looks like Mike McFarland has his hands full with out-of-towners for something at FUNimation, presumably One Piece considering that's his baby right now. My bet's on Strong World as that's what he seems to be working on right now. Richard Epcar for Shiki anyone?
Directing lots of out-of-town talent visiting us up at @FUNimation this week. Always fun to mix things up! #vo

RE: Funi TV Discussion (Saturday Night/Sunday Morning 1:00 a.m., USA Toonami)
Hahahaha! Phew, good luck with that. The Cleveland show has the luxury of airing at 10:30 vs. the wee hours of 1 am. This is really a common rating for FG and CS to be beating the Toonami stuff. In all honesty, One Piece having those high ratings at that hour probably impresses Adult Swim more. The fact it and Soul Eater beat out Boondocks and Black Dynamite is a great accomplishment. What we have to do is get the show to consistently beat them. That way, Adult Swim can consider expanding Toonami to 11pm.
Knowing Adult Swim, they will immediately replace The Cleveland Show with Bob's Burgers as soon as they get the materials. This could potentially be a good thing as when that transition comes up they might take a good hard look at the 11PM hour and wonder if expanding Toonami might be worth it what with One Piece doing so well. But this is only if the numbers can keep up the way they are.

What has FUNimation recently had voices recorded for in Canada?
The Black Lagoon OVAs were sent up there to reunite the cast of the TV series.

So this happened at the Roberta's Blood Trail premiere at Anime Central over the weekend during the Q&A portion with Brad Swaile:
When asked if Brad will be in more FUNimation anime in the future, Funi replied "Stay tuned for some interesting news coming soon." #acen
This could just mean FUNimation is sending more anime up to Canada, but it could also mean he came to Texas. If he did the latter, I have no doubt in my mind Mike McFarland tapped him for something involving One Piece.

RE: Funi TV Discussion (Saturday Night/Sunday Morning 1:00 a.m., USA Toonami)
The only way for that to happen is for FOX to revoke the airing rights of all their Animated shows. That would probably be enough to influence Adult swim to giving Toonami more time, especially since it has been reported that Toonami has doubled from ratings made about a year ago.
Well, considering Adult Swim has just picked up Bob's Burgers, I don't think their relationship with Fox is on the skids. However, I've been hearing rumors that Cartoon Network has new competition for the Family Guy contract (which is up soon) in the form of Comedy Central. If they get it, all bets are off on what Adult Swim will do to stay afloat.

I just had a thought, do you think the dubbed episodes will start appearing on Adult Swim's Gold streaming service?

RE: Funi TV Discussion (Saturday Night/Sunday Morning 1:00 a.m., USA Toonami)
Toonami in it's current form is in more need of commercials than it was before. The 6 guys that run it now do it for free with roughly 1/8th of the previous budget.
Makes more sense for the songs to be shortened as a result, unlike before. Plus it's not like we haven't heard to regular TV size versions anyway.
What I hope they do is take the Bleach approach. Full sized OP, extremely shortened ED. All bets are off on what happens when we get to Crazy Rainbow Star though.

about strong world
! i just cant help but worry about who they might cast for brook. i mean sure many of the regulars can sing, but no one particularly comes to mind. just got done listening to "new world" and its just plain awesome. well i guess well cross that bridge when we get there. have they even gotten around to dubbing anything of the movie?
I think the generally perceived front runners right now are Jerry Jewell and Chris Ayres. You could also throw Duncan Brannan into that list, but I have my doubts considering Mr. 3 will soon be entering major character status in the series and stay there for a while.
