Execuse me i've an off-topic question: how many version of We are performed by the OP VAs exist? Only one? Or there is a version with Franky and Brook VAs too?
The one posted from YoutTube is the original one with the addition of Franky and Brook voices overlapped with the Zoro and Sanji ones? Thanks for the answer!

Two I believe.
One with Robin singing with Chopper at the same time and one without (with Nami.)
I have both on my Ipod as they were on a CD and sound pretty different.
-
Now i found i've two version:
- The original one from 7-nin mugiwara no kaizokudan;
- The one within the Brook Special with Brook and Franky.
Dunno if another version exist…

I remember when someone predicted Blackbeard battle match-ups by the way the march to Arlong Park corresponded with the BB Pirates' walk through Jaya.
Well considering the march to Arlong Park was filler, that doesn't really make any sense when you think about it.
Nice theory either way. Would be nice to have another female character in the Straw Hats.

@Aokiji's_FrznFury:
When Eustass is first introduced as a Supernova, I was given the impression that his devil fruit power was magnetism. The thing that has been bothering me is that when him and Trafalgar were fighting the Pacifista, the only display of Eustass' power was over rifles and other random junk, but was never exhibited on the Pacifista itself. It is my understanding that robots should be affected by magnetism and if this is the case then why didn't Eustass use his ability on the Pacifista especially when they were using cqc for the most part of the fight?
The fight wasnt shown in the manga so we cant really give you an explanation.

I do believe the next member will be female, but I think its connection to We Are is coincidental.

Responding to the whole "dragging" discussion (now that kitteh returned from a week away), I personally thought Alabasta dragged in places, simply because it seemed to be "Vivi finds a hopeful spot and it gets utterly destroyed" OVER and OVER again. Jeez, I felt bad for the poor girl. The only point where I've felt Skypiea has dragged so far was … Satori. Just ... Satori. Easily one of my five most hated characters in the series. However, I'm also very much looking forward to Water Seven/Enies Lobby...
-
Are you kidding me?
Satori battle was awesome, in the Anime and in the manga -
Are you kidding me?
Satori battle was awesome, in the Anime and in the mangaSatori battle for me was really frustrating because I had no clue what the eff Mantra was. I guess that was the point of the battle, to introduce it, but at the time it was so annoying. Going through the second time it was a lot more fun for sure.
-
It's not that the Satori battle was bad; he's just the most annoying. Best part of it: Usopp getting the crap beaten out of him by a quartet of birds. lol
Ohm certainly had an interesting ability but his attacks started to get really annoying in the anime. Shura's fight with Gan Fall was good.
Gedatsu is such a dork, but he's cool enough to be the only one to get a cover story. Makes me wonder what happened to the others after they were banished to cloud drifting or whatever though. what I really wonder is… couldn't the priests just escape that banishment with their abilities i.e. flying, cloud dials? -
How did this thread get so long?
-
It's all Dr. Vegapunk's fault for being too freaking smart. lol.
-
Because Eminem is on Skypeia
-
@Don:
well, when he can hold that freaking huge metal-arm than he should be able to handle one Pacifista
That is true
-
The reasons for this are pretty much just gonna be: 1.) the Pacifistas are made of a non-magnetic metal or, 2.) considering what we've seen of Kid's power, he can pull in (from a distance) and launch (from close range) metal, inanimate objects; why would Kid want to pull toward him, a dangerous thing like a Pacifista in the first place? I'll say he never tried pushing it away because he seemed to be keeping his distance from it anyway (anime varies, but then again, the manga never showed it).
-
! The Pacifistas might be made of the same substance of the walls in Whitebeard's War.
Sorry if I didn't edit the post in time, forgot this was the anime forum.
-
The battle was fine … but when I heard "Ho ho-ho!" the first thought that went through my mind was "I hate you." Though I suppose, ya, the mantra bit did make it a bit more annoying too :P
-
How did this thread get so long?
Because it stopped being about the first question and turned into a general Skypeia thread.
-

Seastone?
The Pacifistas might be, yes.
That'd be quite interesting if that were true.
But if it, then- stops
oh yeah. that battle was filler ._.
was gonna say if the Pacifista were made of sea stone or at least contained some, then wouldn't that have canceled out Law's 'Room'?
but twas filler, so nevermind XD -
jeez.. at least say "thanks"
lol

How much do you remember about one piece up untill now?
Do you remember everything?I kinda feel my memory betraying me, like, i remember all the charecters and everything but im not sure i remember all the funny scenes & ALL the episodes and stuff like that.
Feel like i missed something. If it was a short series i might re-watch it easly, but with 400+ episodes i wonder if it really worth it.
And, im only at episode 357.Kinda want to know if someone felt that way.
I might have spelling mistake, so im sorry for that.
Thanks in advance !
-
Read the manga??
-
Ditto. Read the manga. You'll notice details you didn't before, and besides, it's the original format!

Actually, yeah, I remember everything. This problem happens to me with some few other manga. BUT One Piece I found was one of the most easygoing straightforward manga to remember. I think a lot of enthusiasm for what you're watching helps a lot because it makes your brain want to remember it more, or something.
If you don't have the manga at hand, watch the Anime again.
Some kind of marathon, perhaps ? -
Do you really need to remember everything? I mean, I'm reading it again simply because I feel like we've come full circle, and it's interesting looking back on things. But, even if you read it all again, the amount of time it takes you… you'll most likely forget little details coming all the way around anyway.
-
I remember a lot, but I do forget minor details from like 4-500 chapters ago. I completely forgot the stuff with the high quality swords in Loguetown, so had to look that up recently.

Yeah, that makes sense..i can relate to that.
I'm following One Piece since 2002, and although i never gave it a complete rewatch/re-read i can remember pretty much the whole thing, even minor details.
Now with most of the other series i follow, i do forget events, faces or names really easily, specially if i take some time between episodes or chapters. -
The only thing I had completely forgotten was Koza confronting Crocodile during Alabasta. I had thought that that was something that Movie 8 had added in on its own, but there it was when I read Vol. 22.
-
Actually I would say catch up to the anime's current episode and then go back and read the Manga.
You will appreciate it so much more - it is the way I did it. Which means when you overtake the anime you will grow to want to see how each manga is translated to animation. Which is sometimes very hit and miss.
People love the manga and for good reason - how you appreciate one piece is up to you favouring the manga or the animation is a personal choice and no one can tell you you are wrong for liking one over the other - just the same as not one person can tell another what religion to follow.
-
Ok, since this is in the Anime section, I'm not going to suggest read the manga. You must have not read it for a reason so yeah.
I do remember most things about the series. I don't remember a lot of people's names but their faces I do. Though, when I'm reminded, even a little, about something, I almost immediately remember a bunch of tiny details that happened. I guess thats just how my memory works.
But yes, I do suggest watching the series over again, even though its long. Because every time you watch it you see it a little bit differently. Plus, you get reminded of the small things, and, the more you watch it, the more you'll remember.
That's my advice so I hope I helped you somewhat.
-
I mean, you can if you want. But being active on this forum (even if it's just lurking) will really keep your memory fresh and will help you.
Although, the anime section is pretty void of in depth conversation. So if you're an anime-only type, not sure how to help you, other than suggest that once you catch up to where the anime is currently, you switch over to the manga and continue ahead. Then, just keep current with both.
-
i watch this anime for while now and was wondering what are the strongetst swords does zolo have and what later swords will he get?:wassat:
-
Zolo currently has the strongest swords in the worlds.

wait he does? but how do you no this ?_?
the anime doesnt say he has it. what are the names -
huh ?
-
lol …
-
I take it you don't read the manga.
-
Zoro's swords are part of a special set, but I don't think any of the swords are considered stronger. It mostly depends on the person who uses them. And Zoro gets at least 1 new sword in the future unless you've already gotten to that part.
-
Repeat after me. Zoro. Zoro. Zoro. Zoro.
This "Zolo" person doesn't exist. Now that's done with, I'll do my best to answer this seriously.… Actually I can't. You've given no reference point to where you are in the series and to be honest your question is... odd.
-

Much like your posting.
-
Actually I wonder why they ever decided to call him Zolo? I know they were unable to or reluctant to call him Zoro due to issues - but why not just call him Frank or Simon. Hell even Soro would have been preferable to Zolo.
-
But not really .

They actually call him Zoro in the Dvds.
-

I personally think it was just 4kids being assholes.
Now why Viz copied them, I have no freaking idea. -
Shueisha, Viz's parent company, trademarked the term "Zolo" meaning they got money every time it was used.
-
This is the reason why he should be called Zoro:
!
It's how Oda wrote his name. It's the official spelling.
