After reading the above I dread the day Bepoi x Kuma hentai shall surface .
A dark day indeed .
Blasphemer! Bepo is not into that kind of stuff!
That's right! At worst he'd be an extremley unwilling top….if he got to wear a blindfold:ninja:
You mean the war, not movie 10. Movie 10 is pretty much alternate reality, so it doesn't matter how old he is in it.
There are those who say that this movie is canon since its story was made by Oda himself. And considering that there is even a Volume 0 so that the movie 10 would be seen as such, I am obligated to agree that this movie is canon.
And the mentioned statement made by Oda, saying that "this is Luffy's last adventure as a 17 years old guy", was written in the Volume 0 in a page talking about the movie.
i wonder when we will see croc again..
still his secret wasn`t revealed and also his past has a lot of dark spots.

I think we will see him, and a lot of the other characters reintroduced in these last two arcs, pretty soon
Oda really used this war to revamp old characters that we thought were long gone, it goes together with the whole starting-over-again theory; we are resetting the whole series before going to the New World
but having no soooo long no further information about croc seems weird..also that he should than just bump up out of nowehere isn`t rly oda like.
I think we're focused back onto Luffy for now.
Any aftermath for other characters (Croc, Buggy, Marco, etc.) should be handled via cover stories.
Review time:
! -Color spread: Pretty nice. That poor bear and elephant is going to go through some heck in the next crewmember discuss…Wait.
! -Marines are dealing with a buttload of pirates.
Yeap, world government. You are officially screwed.
! -the Okamas are going to Okama Isle.
Hey Iva! If you see a blonde guy with a curly eyebrow, bring him to AL! He'll need it!
! -Luffy is going on a rampage.
Hide the kids!
! -Hancock and the others are told that Luffy is up and Rampaging!
I said it last time: Hancock helping these girls cook is making my day. And I swear this scene in the middle could be took as explicit. Oda was dodgy on that one.
! -Luffy going through the stages of Grief.
To be serious, this entire part was pretty much a tear jurker for me.
I made the same face as Jimbei here reading it.
! -Dadan being a women.
Uuuuhh….So what?
! -A flashback story arc
This is something I'm actually looking forward to reading especially after "The War That Broke Too Many Rules." All and all. It was a great chapter and a good breath of fresh air after "The War That Broke Too Many Rules". I'll give this flashback arc 5 chapters at the least or most.
Dandan is Sanji's mother. I knew his name is Curly Sanji.
For me it was a fair chapter, not specially awesome, but thrilling anyway.
As for Jimbei joining… hmmm I think the crew really needs another woman rather than a fishman. Furthermore, Jimbei is right now several times stronger than Luffy, Hancock is stronger too, so I bet my life savings on a woman from Amazon Lily (Marguerite) or Perona... The crew really needs another girl, an so do the ero-fans out there...
why the SH need more girls , tho 2 girls more than enough Shanks's crew doesn't have any female even WB crew , Cp9 just one girl, all the pirates crew we saw so far doesn't have that much of girls the ratio almost 3:1
the SH really need a fishman not another girl
Sadly no Moria. =(

I haven't seen the movie yet, but from what i heared it is an alternate reality movie, because it simply doesn't fit in the line of events. That doesn't change the fact, that Shiki and all of volume 0 is full canon tho.
Seeing that a longer time skip hasn't occured yet and isn't certain to occur, Luffy could already have been a 18yo participant in this war… it doesn't matter anyway.

There's actually a part at the end where the camera focuses on the Log Pose and the needle's clearly pointing downward, so in all likelihood the movie's meant to take place in between Thriller Bark and Sabaody.
Having just read this chapter, I have to say… Jimbei has some stones on him. Luffy looked ready to crush anything within range and he still walked up to him. Warlord or not a hit from Luffy would hurt. A lot.

It's very possible the movie took place sometime after Duval but before Sabaody. We never get the exact timeframe between islands.

Then Caimie and the others would be with them in the movie.
Okay then, after Thriller Bark and before Duval.

I'm sure Kuma has plenty.
MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAA!
I'm so very, very excited for Luffy's flashback. I'm hoping that we get a half-volume/volume's worth of chapters. I've been waiting for this one a very, very long time!
Other than that; Great chapter! Oda always knows how to squeeze out my pain water…
Though you are aware that there is no chapter next week.
Let the painful waiting commence.
So I guess we are going to see some adventures of Ace and Luffy and how they influenced each other (mainly how Luffy had an effect on Ace's personality)
It would probably have one or two of those wonderful deep emotional moments Oda uses in the flashbacks but somehow I'm more interested in the actual events than in Luffy's past. I hope there would be at least some intermission on the flashback to show WB and Ace's funeral.
Its kind of funny but out-of-context, it kind of looks like Jinbei is looking with disgust. Its like, "Aw, dude, seriously?".
I was thinking the same thing. He's either fighting back the tears, or thinking "Aw, c'mon, man. Don't cry." Awk_waaaaard._
I draw Luffy when he faces Akainu or Blackbeard:

A silverhaired Luffy would be cool.

Having no facial expressions could be a real burden.

Add red glowing eyes with a black shadow trim and blue lightning aura to that, and we got Gear 5 Luffy.
@Cyan:
Okay then, after Thriller Bark and before Duval.
Zoro was pretty much beaten by Kuma on TB. What in the movie he looked healthy.? He was even still gasping when he fight Flying Fish Rider. Which is take so many day after SH leaving TB.
theres no more raws now??

I don't know why, but I find this picture somewhat hilarious-looking.
Please don't kill me…
It looks like a particulary creepy gantz minor character.
Now I want for Marigold and Jean Bart to hook up..
If I'm not mistaken, Oda mention that he wanted the audience to see the movie and burn them into their minds. Probably in order to be use a reference for something in the future?
@robbybedfart:
Luffy learned Soru, gear 2 and gear 3 off camera. It's not Oda's style to show a training arc, just the implication he's about to train. A panel or two of "I need to get better", followed later by the results, will be enough. Ditto for ALL the strawhats, who are getting off camera training arcs at this very moment.
How Luffy learned gear 2 was screen in one of the movies. It was the movie, who he fight against a big mecha robot. During this fight, something heavy drop on his head and activated his gear 2 effeckt. Becoming fast and nobody understood, what happened.
Later in manga and anime, he speak only, he wanted to try somethning and activated gear 2 on his own by forcing his muscle to simulat the impact of something heavy.
Gear 3… is in my eyes only a different form of his ballon technic, but far more advanced
Gear 3… is in my eyes only a different form of his ballon technic, but far more advanced
The balloon technique is the inhalation of air that expands his rubber body, much like a regular balloon.
Gear 3 is when he takes in air, bites to break skin, and inflates the bones in his body. The bones then become bigger and more powerful.
This is how I figure it works anyways.

i don`t think oda has to strach it tha5t long…
having now a story where ace and luffy get rly brothers and than how they made the promise to care for each other should be enough oda still have to tell us..
@The:
Actually it was a surprise, in a good way, to me. Who would think that the one who trained Luffy and Ace is a woman? And what good it is if Dadan is a guy?
Yeah yeah not good way doh. Dun care about Dadan being woman, just who she is. Just some tribe leader, criminal etc. Nothing awesome. Otherwise Ace-Luffy interaction is great here. So is that big fish guys reaction, specially Luffys strong emotions. 3 crying images suck, but last "is he dead?" thing was just damn awesome. Just damn awesome really.
I thought it was a good time to have a big gap till the next manga as it's not a cliffhanger moment. can someone explain to me though how naruto gets a new ep every week but one piece gets lots of gaps?
Oda takes breaks plus we have Goldenweek coming up, so no manga at all that week.
usually oda works on upcoming chapters in those scheduled breaks (goldenweek),
or he takes breaks esp. for this reason
in fact kishimoto barely takes breaks for upcoming chapters
so oda puts alot more effort and time in his manga
the result is kinda clear to me ;)
i also hate those breaks, because i am always anxious about tha next
chapter, but i am also glad that he does take his time…
This chapter serves as another extraordinary example of the amazing talent Oda possesses.
Honestly when I first read the chapter, I had to walk away three times after seeing the painful emotions that were running through Luffy. Oda made it a point to really emphasize how hurt and lost Luffy is. He took his time creating those crying faces which is the type of crying face a person would have when losing a brother, I know I would bawl like that when that day comes for me (God Forbid).
I can sense the hurt, anger and frustration on top of the fact that there was nothing Luffy could or can do about his brothers death….not anything to bring him back anyway.
Luffy needs to channel this emotion and rid the hatred! Hatred is only going to get him and his loved ones killed. If he can find some way to channel those negative emotions as fuel for his dream then we can expect to see some amazing things.
Another thing I noticed is that Oda wants us to see how strong the tides of time are and that in just two weeks after the war, the sea has already changed and is continuing to change for the worst day by day. We can see how chaotic things can get when the balance is broken which can be a nice foreshadowing of how much worst things will/can get for the OP world.
I am expecting the next one to two chapters to be about this flashback.
I find it interesting that Garp would leave his grandson to a group of criminals to raise. It's either they take care of the children or go to jail? Are these people really the right role models for the likes of Luffy and Ace? I think it's kinda obvious why they didn't end up to be marines like Garp wished for them.
Of note, Hancock is going through a big deal about preparing Luffy a feast.
I think it would be amazing, and heartwrenching, if when its presented to him, Luffy responds with
"No thanks… I'm not hungry."
That would just break me on the spot.

I think there's a bigger chance of Luffy going super saiyan flying up the red line and blowing up Marijoa then Luffy ever saying im not hungry hehe

I think it will eventually be revealed that there is some other quality or event that makes Garp comfortable with Dadan raising Luffy and Ace.
Also, Luffy was already talking about being Pirate King before he ever met Dadan, so she cannot be blamed for his aspirations but she certainly didn't help.
Also, isn't the idea of the "seas getting worse" very subjective and depends on which side of the law you are on? For the Marines and the citizens in the Grand Line, things have gotten worse but for Pirates, I am not sure if it all that catastrophic and dare I say, welcomed.

Don't forget that she hasn't really eaten anything for two weeks BECAUSE she was so worried about Luffy! And yet all she thought about was feeding him!!!
Bless her beautiful heartT_T
Also, we know that 2 Weeks have passed, so it begs to wonder if any of the Straw Hats has made it back to Saboady Archipelago yet?
and I also wonder how Oda will write about how the other SHs react to Ace's death.
I mean in manga, they only met for a short moment, but in anime filler ep, they got quite close together.

I'd bet yes. I wonder what they're doing while waiting…
