Wow so Law uses a submarine. That's actually a pretty ingenius way of not being caught by marines. It's about time another captain shows up who's opinion isn't "lets kill all other pirates since they could get in my way eventually." Hope he sticks around for a good while

We saw all the SN at the beginning of the war, then no more when the screenplay switched to Shabondy. So they may all have departed early to arrive as fast as possible to MarineFord. I don't remember how far Shabondy and MF are, or if the stream is of any help (probably not, and moreover no SN could know about the gates opening for any ship thanks to Laffite) but possibly the war was a few hours long so it is possible, not DEM, that they made their way to MF in time…

I like how SenGoku (old) is facing the blackbeard pirates(new) and Akainu (new) facing the Whitebeard pirates (old). As this is the start of a new Era I think the old ones SenGoku and Whitebeard pirates will loose making room for the new once. Akainu becoming fleet admiral and blackbeard becoming a Yonkou.
About the strawhat I can see Luffy waking up and being depri till someone ( Boa) puts his strawhat on his hat and he gets up ready to pwn the new world.

What makes me scratching my head is that, if the marines have him then there is a chance that Vegapunk might experiment on him. I am guessing that Garp knows that and he, as a Grand father, will not allow it. I think he'l get ace and give him a proper burial or something.

makes me think he was the past division 2 commander. anyway great chapter but i really hope this arc ends with the next chapter. with sengoku giving that little speech about marineford being so special to the people around the world he pretty much sealed its fate. you know its going to get destroyed. i really hope blackbeard kills sengoku with his last attack and destroys marineford because of it. sengoku dies along with the symbol of the marines power. would be great if san juan wolf donkey kongs sengoku next chapter and weakens him as well. btw whoever brings luffy's hat is going to be the guy who joins luffy crew next!

Have you guys noticed that there is a kind of war at each quarter of the story? At the end of Baroque Works there was Alabasta (1/4), then at the end of the Grand Line there is Marineford(1/2). I think chapter 576 was enough evidence with the whole "One Piece…Does Exist!" that was halfway though the story. Hmm... Maybe halfway through the New World we'll another war saga. And then again at Raftel.

Oh, I don't know if he actually won against it, he merely endured it and pwned Iva straight after. God I love/hate this man.
The ending of the fight between Sengoku and Black beard (plus his crew?), I believe, will be shown before Luffy and co. will escape from marineford. At the moment it looks like Sengoku can handle it but we havent seen the best of BB I believe, plus BB will probably get help from rest of his crew. And since Akainu (and Aokiji) seem to focus on Luffy and the remaining WB pirates (And for what ever Kizaru's doing) I think that will be fatal to Sengoku here. From this chapter we've seen that Sengoku is really powerful but I doubt he can handle Blackbeard and his two DF powers and bunch of level 6 prisoners. So, most likely this war bring us yet another death - Sengoku's. The reason I can also see this happening is the fact that at the moment it seems that Luffy's final battle will be against Blackbeard and also - so far only pirate's have suffered major losses (Ace, WB, Oars?…). The other option is that somehow BB understands he can't win and they manage to escape - but from what we've seen about BB I just don't see him escaping...

As shallow as this may seem, Law has made it onto my top 10 characters list because of this chapter alone. I thought he was alright before, but this rescue operation has me looking forward to seeing what he'll be like in the future more than any other rookie.
Plus, you know he isn't done showing how many fun things he can perform with his shamble ability.

I think marines could have enough resources to attack AL, but I don't think that they could take Amazon Lily down without high-ranked marines. Then, would they go through all the trouble to put Smoker+ ranked marines to take care of one Island? Akainu could do it - he's obviously willing to magma fist anyone who comes into his way but I think he will even more likely pull Smoker and takes killing (well, in Smoker's case it's more like capturing but whatever) Luffy as his "life mission" and go after him instead of taking care of bunch of Amazons. But who knows, maybe we'll see Save Amazon Lily -arc at some point since the Amazons already pretty much said that they'd like to meet Luffy's friends/crew

First the crew, then Bon Clay (though I still think he's alive), then Ace…Luffy has lost so much during this arc. And now he might lose Shanks's hat too!? Oda, you are so cruel lately (but in the best way imaginable).
At least the issue of where Luffy is going to stay while he recovers is settled...maybe. I think that after he's treated by Law, his recovery process will probably take longer than usual, maybe even a few weeks. (I'd love to see Law use his powers to perform some special medical techniques.) This will give the Straw Hats (who may already be aware of what happened at Marineford) some time to get back to Sabaody. Then, Law can drop Luffy off there and the Straw Hats can finally reunite.
That is, of course, if no big surprises happen in the meantime. And since One Piece has been one surprise after another lately, that is entirely possible.
