And maybe Arzack, Visca, and Earthland Erza, too. Arzack because he uses an item (guns), and Visca and Erza because they only use their magic to store their weapons (armor, in Erza's case), not utilize them. Also, doesn't Reedus use magic paintbrushes/paint, and Levy use magic pens?

Umm… most Fairy Tail chapters move at this pace actually. The last arc was actually an exception to how fast chapters usually progress. That said, I loved this chapter. Glad we got to see Scorpio in action
i laso think that Fairy Tale and Toriko are actually really fast series, fights aren`t longer than 1-2 chapters…arcs are also done in a rly quick manner (most of them at least)
Well, battles in one piece end in 2-3 chapters, Luffy's or very hard ones (like Oars's) last longer, and Eines Loby's ended soon after they got focus.

i am going to guess next week is a filler/cannon type thing made up from the side story of the learning transformation magic of Mira. You know how they made up stuff based around Happy's flying fish and mushroom head jobs.
Then the week after looks like it is dealing with the egg and happy backstory.
then the phantom lord arc looks like starts in chapter 21.
Speculation part–
This is probably the reason why Mistgun hasn't lived up to our built up expectations (besides being another Gerard). It explains all those staves he carries, and like Natsu showed, the power within the weapons has a set "charge." Our first intro to Mistgun showed him returning from defeating a bunch of Phantom Lord satellite guilds. That probably used up a lot of magic within his weapons.
I love how this useless Horologium always turns out to be the most useful Stellar Spirit at times…
We just can_not_ escape from having Lucy running around with the group, can we? Ugh.
There's a great lighthearted vibe around here, because no matter how serious we might get, we're all together because of some magical pirate.

I don't think so. If you watch the preview closely, it looks more like the members are switching bodies or the like. I say this because it looks like "Happy" and "Lucy" are flipping the hell out. Unless they transformed by accident, that's a good sign of a bodyswap.
Anyways, not a hugely eventful chapter. Main things are Lucy joining the party and more details on the magic of the world. First thing is, I totally dig this. I've got a major hard-on for magical trinkets, and it looks like this arc is going to be full of them. That's something cool to look forward to.

At first I thought this chapter totally copped out by having Earthland Lucy being able to use her Stellar Spirits. However, the more I think about it, the more appropriate I think it would be for her character. There have been plenty of complaints about Lucy not being given enough development and always having to play second fiddle to Natsu. However, if in this arc, Lucy is capable of having the means to fight while everyone else can't, this could finally give Lucy some much needed character development. But, as the old saying goes, "With great power comes great responsibility". So, Lucy has a pretty big responsibility on her hands now.
So, this arc hasn't failed me…yet.
i actually like the designs of the villains….this is somehwta interesting...the only thing that makes me not like fairy tail usually is how sucky the fights are...

Maybe they're using the age old logic of, "They're using magic, so that's why they're not bleeding." Beyond that, it does seem kind of stupid.
I've only watched a few episodes of Rave on CN, did the Rave Anime have a lot of blood in the uncut version?

I don't know. I'm still wondering if the FT DVDs have blood in them. Some scenes like Gray treating his "bleeding" just don't make sense without at least a little blood. I'd be happy even if the blood was greatly reduced, so long as it's a little bit.

I heard it does but unfortunately the rave anime ends just as it starts to get really good.

episode 21 is called phantom lord, so expect it then. The next episode is some filler we aren't sure on whether its a changing body filler or a side story of mira showing them how to transform magic.
episode 20 i believe is dealing with the side story of natsu and lisianna finding and hatching the egg. so wait a few episodes for the phantom lord arc to start

yea that was weird, and next week seems to be the egg story, then i think it goes back to cannon story, so not sure why they wouldn't finish this little filler. or maybe they will finish it in like the first minute next week or something
