The Zoro v.s Kaku fight is 90 % that it will find place cause our "santoryou" got his ass kicked once by him and as we know Zoro won't stand sill and let it happen again.
Nah, Zoro never fights for revenge. And he proved he was the better weapon user there anyway.
I really wanted Sanji to smash Blueno, but I think Popeye could get the honor, while Sanji gets into it with Jabura.

No, you were posting twice in succession. It doesn't matter if the contents of the two posts are different, it's considered double posting on this forum.
As far as I´m familiar with vB, you can´t place more then four images in one post, so in order to show six images in this forum you have to double post since you can´t pack them all in one post. At least the older versions of vB where like that. I always had to made double post when I was showing my fanart. Therefore I think ZenithTheOne´s double posting is ok.

Hm, getting a few thoughts out on my first post.
Don't expect the staff to be used by Sogeking. We've seen pictures that had Usopp holding a a gun. Sadly enough, he's never pokevolved to such weaponry. I'm really enjoying this arc, it's good to see Luffy not just use a gomu gomu no scythe to knock out everyone. Variety is the spice of life and what not.
I sincerely hope Sogeking is not stuck fighting yet another lameass. Even if he and Nami or he and Chopper have to team up to do it, let them fight someone cool.
As for who joins, I really think Paulie and Franky have too much tied to Water 7 to leave with Team Muwi. Everyone else had a drive behind going off. If anything, I could stretch my perception to see Paulie going off to see the real world, not wanting to be fooled like that again. Somewhat like Iceburg as a father saying he should go on his own now.

Almost all of the crew left important people behind when they joined the Straw Hats. Sanji and his fellow chefs plus Zef, Usopp and his pirate crew plus Kaya, Nami and her sister and the villagers, Chopper and the old lady doctor whose name I forget….
Arguing that Paulie or Franky have too many people tying them to Water Seven is kind of pointless, seeing how many other characters had ties to others when they left.
And I'm going to stop now before this becoems Paulie vs. Franky Round Eighty-Three.

anyway, does anyone think the spread foreshadows who's gonna fight who? i think the one from arlong did so perhaps this one is also a hint? although i don't think spandam will fight and chopper will team with nami. who knows, all these predictions about franky joining and what matchups are driving me crazy!
second, what's the approximate rate oda is pumping out these color pages? they seem to come out pretty frequently (about every 5 chapters?) which is pretty darn generous for us fans!

Can someone please explain why the color spread consists of three pieces? I though color spreads were always just two pages so actually the scan should consist of two pages aswell. Or is this a three pages color spread?
EDIT: Forget the question. I´ve just checked Stephen´s scripts and there the color spread is label as pages 1,2,3. So that answers my question. BTW, check out Stephen´s script on chapter 377.

One Piece has been so fightingless lately that I've grown accustomed to it. And when I realized things were going to turn into a fight-fest, I felt stressed.
For some reason I thought about Naruto and Bleach, and how they've turned into cheap cliche fight fests. And for some reason I worried about the upcoming One Piece.
But DAMN! This chapter proves me wrong. The fighting was well done and felt "real" unlike what the aforementioned two resorted to. I'm GLAD the actions this good!

-The scene with Luffy surrounded by all those marines and agents…...totally Matrix reloaded right there, with all the Smithes.- We havn't seen a color spread like that FOREVER. And it was kickass. I get tired of the pose ones, a content oriented spread is just what the docter ordered.

I was surprised by the brownish colour of Spandam's facial brace, it's exactly like Mankind's mask, I thought it'd be black or something, but no. Perhaps Oda really is a Mick Foley fan? I know he did a few tours with All-Japan in the mid 90's, but wrestled mainly as Cactus Jack at the time.
But yeh, anyways… Spandam in colour was a bit of a shock.

Did they ever show Spandam in color before? Somehow I wasn't surprised by the purple hair. Initially I imagined it brown, though. I never picture anyone's hair to be the wierd colors they sometimes are. :)

Weeell I've just noticed something, and I don't know if it has been said already but, the colour spread can't be the match-up for CP9 vs Mugiwara battles. Why? Firstly, if it were, Luffy would be fighting Kaku, and Sanji Lucchi. Secondly, pidgeon? Hmm. Well. I still think it poses a threat. These are my predictions:
Luffy x Lucchi
Zoro x Kaku
Sanji x Blueno
Nami x Calipha
Chopper x Fukurou/Jyabura
Franky x Spandam
Sogeking x Fukurou/Jyabura
Robin x Kumadori (hmm..)Okay, Kumadori seems to me to be somewhat like a contortionist; he seems to be very flexible… hence a good challenge for Robin. Chopper and Usopp have interchangeable villains imo, but the rest I believe is set in stone. Any resemblance my predictions might bear to anyone else's is purely coincidental. :)

Meh I'll just do some predictions too, just to see if I was right lateron:
Luffy vs Lucchi (it's pretty certain Luffy is gonna beat up our Italian pimp guy)
Zoro vs Kaku (grudge for getting beaten)
Sanji vs Blueno (grudge, has to show his kick can break the tekkai)
Franky vs Spandam (grudge, spandam ruined his life)
Nami vs Califa (cat-fight)
Robin vs Tao Pei-guy (he's the only one serious enough for a match with Robin)
Chopper+Usopp vs Zipper+Longhair (they're all that's left, and a pairing sounds way more fun than more 1v1s..)Funny thing is that they put both "leaders" in the middle, Luffy and Lucchi. Note that technically Spandam is the leader of CP9 but he's just kinda tucked away behind Kaku to the side. I really wanna see him and Rob interact to see the internal relations there..
