Ew, is Luffy back to wearing Thriller Bark-ish colors? lol at Mr. 1's lipstick. He didn't look like that before! Heh, Ivankov's right out there to scare those unsuspecting children in the bookstore.
Well, looks like Crocodile joins Luffy in the inconsistent manga –> anime colorscheme bin. In the latest opening Luffy was still shown with his teal and red outfit in Marineford and Crocodile had a purple scarf. Hope they don't change it, because I really don't like the look of that yellow.

My only problem is that Mr. 1 and Inazuma seem so oddly placed…I would've just made them part of the main picture and had them standing behind Ivankov at the same angle as everyone else....it could've been more dynamic I suppose. It's alright, not bad, not great.

Cover seems kind of lazy. Luffy, Jimbei, Croc, and Iva look great, but the back looks way too empty. Mr 1 and Inazuma should have been fully drawn and next to Iva imo.

Hey what does the 285 in the captain refer to? That's not a page count is it? O_o That would be like 14 chapters…never seen a single volume that long before...I doubt that's what its' in reference to though lol. Any indication on the title / number of chapters yet?
Also..theoretically...if Oda was only doing 10 chapters from now on because of the price going up, wouldn't he have to do 11 chapters per volume for the same page count now considering he dropped from 19 pages a week to 17 pages a week (and in one chapter only 15 pages)?

Luffy changed his vest color again? What? That dosen't make any sense the anime has it the way it has been for Impel down arc so far in the newest opening. Hopefully either the anime or Oda fixes it.

On this cover Luffy's vest is yellow but in the opening it's still teal.
I'm starting to wonder if Luffy took one too many blows to the head during his fight with Lucci and is starting to go colorblind. Orange/red, blue/red, teal/red, now yellow… He should just have one of the girls or someone who actually has a fashion sense lay out his clothes for him every morning or something.

All the vest color changes would make it more epic when he changes back to his iconic red. I don't know about you guys, but it's kinda interesting Luffy is experimenting with his vest…. like he does not know which color fits him or something.
But yeah, this cover is a bit plain.

Now that they have the color schemes, they'll probably use the new colors when the anime gets this far, like the white Bullgoris from Share the World were corrected.

I find it funny that, in the week the anime brings out the new opening to the upcoming events, Oda just turns around and gives us different colours for Luffy and Iva! lol
Either way, the cover looks good. The only downside is that it Mr.2 is not on there! :sad:

Isn't this the vol with Blackbeard in? (I dont have 55 yet) woulda looked so much better with his face in the middle. Or Shiryuu. Inazuma and Mr. 1 like everyone else said should be changed. Or removed. Has Mr. 1 actually done anything yet?

The cover is just meh, Mr. 1 and Inazuma really needed to be drawing on the same plane as Ivankov and the others, the background is also too plain, well at least it has Croc and Jimbei.

I wonder if Oda will break his "No more 11+ chapter volumes" rule as recently he's done many, many 17 pagers (17 pages * 10 chapters = ~170 pages, plus extras).

Well at least it sort of finishes most of the role-call from ID…that's about it I suppose. Ivankov takes up a bit too much space but considering his importance I guess they had to give it to him the most.
