The only thing that I can think of which proves that is the fact that all of the wanted posters and book titles are written out in English. I don't think Oda has officially stated which language they're speaking.
Questions That Don't Deserve Their Own Thread

That was my first thought. All the shop names and stuff.
meh whatever

What does Ohikae mean in Bon-chan's attack, Ohikae no Fouette?
-
Um. When was it first shown that Shanks was part of GDR's crew?
-
He lived in America? I never heard about that. When? I though he instanly became a Mangaka after school and has been ever since. Where did that information come from?
I will go try to find it again. I read somewhere before he did study in america for a couple of years. The source seems credible enough but it was quite awhile back.
-
Um. When was it first shown that Shanks was part of GDR's crew?
Shown? Chapter 19:
[hide][/hide]
If you mean when it was revealed that that was Roger's ship, Chapter 506:
[hide][/hide]
-
Didn't they say that it was Roger's ship during Shanks's meeting with Whitebeard?
-
I always wondered what would happen if someone was hit by a Noro-Noro beam while on something moving, like a ship. Would he stay almost still and the ship would sail away from under him?
-
Didn't they say that it was Roger's ship during Shanks's meeting with Whitebeard?
Whoa snap, my bad.
Actually revealed in chapter 434:

Well if the bean wont hit the ship, you would fall to sea in the end of 30sec.
This brings up another question: what if you hit a part of something large, like a warship, wit the Noro beam while it's moving?
My guess is the warship is torn apart from the slowed-down part, if it's big enough. Also, some more questions:
What would happen if Blackbeard creates black matter around him and then gets hit by a seastone?
What happens when Kizaru is confronted with a mirror? -
Mirrors are totally Kizaru's one weakness. No matter what, he'll bounce off them!

Damn, there's so many weird questions about One Piece, but I think it's fun to speculate.
Could Usopp have beaten Kuma back in Shabondy if he stored one of his paw-attacks in a dial and reflected it back?
-
Catching those paw lazers with an Impact Dial would be impossible because they move way too fast. As soon as Usopp presses the obsorb button, the imprint would have already gone through him.
-
Perhaps. Usopp would have most likely died of the knockback too.
OOH, OOH, here's another one!
If Buggy can fly if his feet are on something steady (as seen here), could he pick his own legs up and fly infinitely? -
Hey can someone explain Marine HQ to me? Its on top of the red line right? Then why is there ocean surrounding it like a normal island? Is it not on top of the red line? or does enough water flow on top of the mountain to allow huge battle ships to get up there?
-
No Mariejois in on the top of the red line.
-
Yeah but, how is their water up there? it looks like its in the ocean.
-
No, Marine HQ is in the water at the bottom, Marineford. You can go from there up the red line to Mariejoa, which is on top.
-
@LongFist:
Yeah but, how is their water up there? it looks like its in the ocean.
MHQ is not Mariejois.

Fellas I have a question. We know that Red and Grand Lines pierce the world in 4 parts. With Kairouseki you can cross Calm Belt-so technically East and South/North and West Blues can be connected. There must be some kind of transport for people.Or not.But theoretically those pairs can have connection. But what about Red Line ? Does that mean that hemispheres are completely cutted from each other with rarely anybody nonpirate or Marine traveling between spheres ? I highly doubt you can just ask marines or there is a transport to sail from the closest point near Red Line to the Fishman Islandand be in the other half of a world.
So the question is-how do you think anybody or even cities contact over the Red Line other from maybe DenDen Mushis? Is there even such connections? Are people completely cut from each other with Red Line and practically are two different worlds?

Actually, Sanji was born in North Blue and came over the Red Line to East Blue when he was very young. From what I understand, there are method to traverse the Red Line in areas (Mariejoa being one of them). The Marines crossing the calm belt is supposed to be a secret, so the Grand Line is what splits the world in half to those who aren't well connected.

in what chapter does it state that Shanks stopped Kidou from interfering with the war or whatnot?

Has anyone made any predictions about Akainu's power based on his appearance yet? (I'm too lazy to read through the chapter thread and there doesnt seem to be any akainu or admiral thread on the first page)
[hide]I'm assuming I'm overthinking this but Aokiji's tie looks like an icecrystal to me and Kizaru's shades (and light pinstripes?) could be a reference to his powers. Would the flowers appearing on Akainu be a reference to his? [/hide]
Edit: yep game2005 did that: http://www.apforums.net/showthread.php?p=1191787#post1191787

I said something about that a while ago actually.

I feel special now.
-
Flowers, along with blood and magma, have been the three main possiblitys for him for a while now.
But yeah with the suit theme plant/flower seems to be it.
-
check again that power was speculated in the akainu thread a long time ago.the person who first suggested it is there.
-
Why Ace was that beaten up in the flashback when he joined WB. Did he attack WB or something? Did it Jimbei and even more was it before he got his DF?
-
-
Kishido, I believe that Jinbei did it and the fact that he survived despite his Devil Fruit really impressed Whitebeard, prompting him to recruit Ace. Although that's all speculation; there is no official answer yet.
-
I always thoght Roger gave the big scar on WB's chest after Shanks/WB meeting… but now I have my doubts.
Look.
WB's scar
!
WB meeting Ace (To this time Roger was dead)… You can see no scar.
!
Is this just a mistake from Oda or did someone else gave that scar to WB?

If it's not a mistake, it makes things a bit interesting. Since Ace left for the Grand Line three years before the current timeline (before Luffy), that means that memory of Whitebeard occured between then and now. Which means that within the last 3 years, Whitebeard acquired that scar. I don't believe Oda has given us any leads as to who did it.. I guess we'll see if it becomes important or not.
-
We merely got the impression from Whitebeard's words that it was Roger, but it could have just as easily been a powerful Marine like Garp.
-
It's obvious Buggy gave him the scar.
A lot of you foolishly assumed Roger gave him that and his bad health. When it's obvious its been from the numerous fights he's been in.

I wonder how strong those voluptuous nurses are…. cant wait to see them in action.... XD
anyways... it could be anybody... remember Garp being hit in the chest by Morgan? Maybe whitebeard just got clumsy.... maybe a lucky hit from someone...but we cant really tell, its all up to Oda to cover up this issue.... XD
-
I think Whitebeard's nurses might act something like the Silent Hill movie variety. But, you know, with intellegance. Image them running through an army of Marines, cutting through all their throats with scalpels.
Not that Oda would have them aiming for the throats, but that would be maximum badass.
-
This is a more technical question, but does anyone know how Oda's work schedule is like?
I remember reading in an early issue of US SHonen Jump (before they got lazy and used actual articles and interviews instead of ads disguised as such) in an Oda interview that he took three days to plot and three to draw. However, that just seems like it's still not enough time to produce manga at a rate of 19 pages a week.
I mean I'm also an American comicbook fan, and I know those artists take a month to draw about 22 pages, usually with half of them running late. And all they usually do is just PENCIL the work, they don't write it or ink it or color it!
How the hell does Oda (and basically othe rmanga-ka) get out 19 pages of incredible story and art a week and not DIE! DOes anyone know if he's mentioned more specifically how much he can get done in a day? And how much work does his assistants do, like do they ink his stuff, do backgrounds, etc?
-
I remember reading somewhere (it might have been an SBS) That his assistants do everything that isn't moving in the panels or something like that.
-
Considering how many "moving" and living things Oda includes in his manga, he does a majority of the drawings. But his assistants do things like inking and background.
Oda is pretty much the hardest worker in Jump imo.
I wonder if Kishimoto and Kubo just gave up when they realized they can't top Oda.

Wow remove Oda's penis from your mouth.
-
-
Ahahahaha….
I don't get what you mean :wassat:
You need to get out more, take a walk around the block.
You do live on a block?
-
Such a fitting name.
-
You misunderstand. There is nothing between Oda and me. But then again, how does a penis go into a mouth? It doesn't quite fit.

The water drinking man has made his appearance.

Will dragon attack to save ace
All expecting an all out war during execution
While there will be serious battle it may not be an all-out war by rebellions and pirates versus world governmentDragon may raise assaults and rebellions all over the world while all admirals and sichibukais are busy at execution, which may lead they split forces to stop rebels and whitebeard at the same time and helps ace
Dragon may stay back and start a revolution
Or command armies to start revolution and personally attack to stop executionAlso boa hancock and kuma may have suprises to change situation greatly
The group possibly cannot come in time
And even if they come without a full gathering they won't help but drag possibly, since they aren't strong enough yet to fight against sichibukai or admirals
If no side story on crew getting stronger somehow (which should evolve during great battles) they won't join the war possibly, yet they may help luffy to run if they make in time somehowSince next stop is fishman island
Maybe luffy run with former sichibukai jimbei and gather with crew in fishman islandon the other hand jimbei somehow connected with arlong maybe his father and he will try to take revenge [wrong prediction by wrong translation ignore]
