I think this war is going to be for Luffy,a lot like EL.
He will first fight Momonga and win (his first use of Haki in a actuall fight,like that time with Gear2).
His second fight will be vs. Smoker.
I'm waiting at most for this fight,Luffy must take a revenge here.
I also see a possible Hancock vs. Hina,this fight would also pwn.
Why would Kaidou be in the war?
In a matchup between Kizaru and Rayleigh, the winner is Shanks?
I think if Blackbeard and Whitebeard DID FIGHT one on one in the war, Blackbeard would win simply because making such an awesome villain lose would be lame. Besides, we are being hinted at Whitebeard's death a lot lately.
Luffy fighting a very strong Vice-Admiral seems reasonable to me.

Shanks may join the rumble because he was concern for ace, but for rayleigh and kaidou hmmm i think they would'nt join, but if they join or other pirates beside wb and luffy, maybe because they want to overthrow the WG or they just want some attention.
Rayleigh wants to stay in peaceful retirement, while Shanks was all about avoiding a situation like this. If they do end up getting involved, it's not going to be of their own volition, and certainly not so fans can have their dream match ups.
I hope there will be no pacifistas joining the war or other crazy inventions by that punk, if they would join owww damn, it will be pain in the ass for WB pirates(luffy/half-zoro/sanji combo wasn't even enough to take down those damn pacifistas)

I expect that we will have the introduction of Dr Vegapunk before the big fight. Now that we've seen his bodyguards and a lot of the marine high powers, it seems fitting. I think it'll be a short intro. Oda is feeding us more knowledge on high powers to nicely set up the New World.
I can't imagine why Vegapunk's Weapons and Pacifista's WOULDN'T be in the war. Sure, I guess Sentoumaru said that the Pacifista's were very expensive and a pain in the ass to make, so it's annoying to have them beaten, but they could take down a TON of fodder Whitebeard Pirates, leaving the path open for the main World Government/Shichibukai contenders to fight the strongest Whitebeard division leaders and Whitebeard himself without having to waste energy.
On chapter 523 they said pirates from New World are heading towards the marine headquaters.
So I assume that meant the yonkou. Also sry about my tread. Didn't see this one.us

Well you got to think of it that way. If the WG is able to take down Whitebeard then it's pretty likely that the remaining three crews could suffer the same fate later on. So working together for the time being would be in their own interest.
On the other hand, they could aswell move to fall in Whitebeard's back and take out their biggest enemy while he's dealing with the WG. Of course they could then still fear that the WG will come after them, but if WG would fall thanks to Yonkoh intervention then their fighting spirit would be a lot stronger then when Newgate would fall to the WG alone.
I'm just throwing in possible motivations for the moevement of other pirate crews. Not more, not less.
I'm gonna go ahead and say there won't be matchups, the way we think of them. the arc would drag out too long. If every fight was 5-10 cheapters we're already looking at over 100 chapters of match-ups, = 2 years. I'm gonna guess there will be general fighting, and lots of explosions, and a couple of the mega-fights wil be shown. Otherwise this would be another EL, but with more characters.

exactly. Bleach has taken that course, and the story has long been forgotten, and all we know is that arrancar are being fought by many people. Ichigo is long-forgotten, what'shisface the shop-owner rebel is gone, and Aizen has been locked in fire for what seems like half a year already.
Don't think Oda will take that course, there are other ways to make this war epic. In my opinion, Admiral Drake should just walk in and eat all the weaker VA's, while taking a dump on Doflamingo. Then crocodile whisks them all away in a sandstorm, before pwngoat wakes up, which would have made the war take a very different course
The movement in the New World is surely the other Yonkou and major pirates taking advantage of the hole that Whitebeard has left by mobilizing; I predicted that in the first post already.
The Yonkou are in a standstill against each other. As soon as one moves, everyone else has to move in as well, if they're even a half-assed leader with any confidence.
blackbeard took out the third strongest fihter of the whithbeard pirates: ace. so why are there so many marines coming to fight. 3 admirals, at least 5 shishibucai ( i don't count boa and jimbei)
1 is it because whitebeard himself is 100 times stronger than ace
2 they want to make no losses on their side.

well it's war, the World Goverment dosn't want to give Whitebeard an even fight, they want to completly destroy him , that and i believe that they want the marines guarding a certain location while the shichibukai guard another, so they dont have there entire force in one area, instead deciding to protect multiple location and spread there forces out,rather than betting on a single location and putting all the froce there and risk whitebeard attacking another location and be caught complelty off-gaurd and have no way to counter him. t

we don't even know their ambitions. what do the other yonkou stand to gain from entering the war? the yonkou, are the emperors of the new world. their rule is already undisputed. nothing to gain from bringing the WG down. by entering the war, they can potentially lose crew members as well as territory? in the new world.
except maybe shanks. the WG tried to prevent them from meeting and possibly forming an alliance. if you're going up against 2 yonkous you'd better gather all the strength you have.
edit: the balance exists because: nobody wants to try anything funny, and even if they want to, they do not have the power to remain on top. so i'm asking what would the yonkou risk losing men to the WG for?
it's because the "balance" they've been talking about could be in jeopardy with the strongest man gone.
we do at least know that shanks didn't want this to happen but he also stated that "noone can stop this raging era now" long before garp did so i doubt that he would join this war cause he already failed to prevent it.

This is how it would progress.
If a yonkou waits untill AFTER WB falls to step in, The result is the same as if they go against the WG at the same time since either they win and WG is completly crippled or they lose and the WG is STILL crippled but not all the strongest are dead, like maybe 1 admiral and 3 shichibukai alive.
It would be in the Yonkou's best interest to help WB because the enemy of my enemy is my friend, duh.

Urr, I meant I think his error (Knuckles') was from there; not that the website was – though they are, alot -- in error. I mean of course I could be wrong, but that would be the most likely place someone would get the name from. I didn't make that very clear though, and looking back it doesn't really make sense. Yes, yes you can. It's a hobby of mine to edit my post at least 18 times before leaving it to rot and die. I tend to leave little tidbits and comments in there every time. Well, not every time, but more often than naught. In fact, people like Vanessa, Crossword, dirt monkey AL, Gorlom, and various other people do the same thing.

It was only composed of Captain and Commander ranked Marines.
There were no Commodores, let alone Rear-Admirals(the rank under Vice-Admiral) among the 200 sent to fight on the Bridge of Hesitation.
And the SHs on that bridge were just defending their position. I remember that one of the marines destroyed zoros sword. The SHs still have problems with DF users. With what we have now they are all useless against a VA and an Admiral….
